Napoli deserves to win the title this season. The way they’ve replaced the likes of Insigne, Koulibaly, and Mertens with the likes of Khvicha, Kim and Raspadori are crazy. Spalletti deserves to win at least once to make up for the numerous times he has come close only to miss out on it marginally.
"Because they have three central defenders closing, the two holding midfielders relating, moving close, the pockets close, the structure - the 5 and 2 players, so so close. And the distances are so close and at the same time they are so WIIIIIDE"
Napoli fan here. Great analysis. Only one thing to note: Lobotka is far from the typical, static "number 6", Jorginho-style. He is incredibly dinamic and carries the ball a lot. Sometimes the midfield triangle inverts and he becomes almost an attacking midfielder. In my opinion he is by far Napoli's most important player. Truly a joy to watch.
Kvarastkhelia is already one of the most dangerous players in the world, the eye test has seen enough + JJ please do all the tifo videos, you’re the only analyst I can watch for over 10 mins
I know this is an analysis on their attack but as a napoli fan it's absolutely criminal that they haven't mentioned Kim. He is insane. Best centre back in serial a right now, defo better than Koulibaly in terms of defending.
Hasn't mentioned Kim? He says Kim is one of the standout players in Series A this season, and was a "bargain" at £30m, which is high praise considering the correction the editor had to put in.
As a Barcelona fan I hope our board looks at Spalletti being our manager after Xavi, I am so jealous of Napoli fans and the football their enjoying currently , plus they have a potential GOAT in Kvaradona, what a time to be a Napoli fan😭😭😭.
People have been sleeping on Spalletti for years even though he's played some of the best football in Italy since the mid 2000s. He's credited for inventing the false 9, launched the careers of players such as Salah and Rudiger, and made a chain-smoking borderline alcoholic Nainggolan the best midfielder in Europe in 2018
I meant it's modern iteration that would go on to inspire Guardiola's Barcelona team. The first usage goes back to the Hungarian national team of the 60s
Another thing to consider is that Fabian Ruiz left the club, even tho he's really talented he didn't fit the style that Napoli wanted to play. He was really good when the pace of the game was slow but not as much when there was the need of getting the pace of the game up. Also Lobotka is really instrumental and is stepping up big time with really consistent performances, he's never the star of the show but he enables all the other players to do what they want to do.
1 thing i was gon say, fabians problem was that we was slow n made risky passes sometimes. napoli wanna play quickly so players like him wouldnt look great, also lobotka n anguissa's pass accuracy is of elite midfielders, both averaging like 90%
very nice overview! Spalletti said several times "nowadays you don't have to look for space between the lines. You have to look for space wherever the opponents has left some for you to exploit".
I think the key point in your analysis is how adaptable their style can be, they can sit back at times or play on the front foot and their football is based more on exploiting moments. That right there is the most important point and is more commonplace I think particularly in calcio and football on the continent in general perhaps. Real madrid also play this way but the reason why they're so good is their players have so much quality and intelligence. It is football that puts more emphasis on tactics and understanding your opponent as opposed to ideologies or mantras about "playing a certain way". Being tactical is important in the champions league.
Yeah he will probably get bought by one of the big boys eventually. I reckon he might go to a Liverpool or an atleti perhaps. But to be fair napoli are at such a high level atm it would have to be a big time move to a team playing well to be even worth leaving.
I was fully expecting your last words to be "I wish you good fortune in the wars to come". But seriously I've been absolutely fascinated by the quality of Napoli's football this season.
@@consistencyiskey267 it might be that kim wants to stay at napoli but if there's a club that'll pay the money and can also find a agreement with the player than he is allowed to leave again I'm not 100% sure but i think the 40mil is in his contract it's also the same thing that napoli did with kim at fenerbahce, his clause was around 20-22mil but napoli managed to get him cheaper because he had only one year left on his contract
@@just_a_yokai1103 Yea that was what I was saying. A club cant just pay the fee the player needs to accept the offer on their end also. Which he wont for the next little while
Napoli won ohhh gosh I need to go and learn that guy name 😅😅😅. If seriously, Napoli looks as a very complete team, they have excellent first pick players but their subs are not bad at all. I was really surprised by Raspadori performance, he is a short guy but could find the way to score almost every game when Omiseh was injured. I knew Khvicha from Rubin Kazan, I knew he is a good dribbler but now he is just different level.
I thought the same, I can't believe he's 21... The beard makes him look older and he doesn't look that young plus he looks like he has experience at this level beyond his year when really he's only played at the top level for two months?! Wow. He will become a Napoli legend
I've noticed that, when Kvara plays in a team, that team plays fast and nice football. Even Georgian national team, compare 3 years ago and now 2 different teams.
Spalleti is extremely underrated. Everyone considered Sarri a revolutionary strategist even though Spalleti was playing the so called "Sarrisimo" 10 years before Sarri showed up in Serie A. I don't know how much say he had in recruitment but his biggest talent is getting the maximum out of his players. He transformed Totti's play style and and put him in his peak form and he made De Rossi from absolute zero to hero, in his second spell, he made average Nainggolan into an absolute menace(my favourite midfielder to watch). He's doing the same in Napoli now, the players just seem happy and fired up. That style of management is the most consistent and sustainable, tactics change, injuries happen but when you know you can rely on every player to do their best, the results come automatically. He basically ignited Kvara, Raspadori, Anguissa, Kim, Ndombele and others in their first season, I've never seen so many signings performing so well right away, especially after the team let go of literally 2 of their best players they had since Maradona.
Napoli has lost lot of veterans and replaced them with younger and more motivated players however I think, paradoxically that the best move during last market window was to have sold Fabian Ruiz. He is a top player, so please do not mistake my words, but without him we are much faster and balanced in the midfield. Without him Lobotka is having more space to play and gaining continuity Moreover Lobotka gives much more support to the defence than Ruiz, giving space to Anguissa and Zielinsky to go up. With Fabian Anguissa was forced to play always next to him to support the defence.
@@Hentzau. oooh I can ASSURE you yesterday everyone had a smile on their face and was polite to each other in Campania, and you couldn't find any juventus' fan on the streets, they all hid in shame
Whats happened to the Tifo football show? honestly my favourite part of this channel and in the last episode Joe said it would be returning for the new season, what's happened?
I'm a napoli surpporter I never experienced a Serie A championship and love to win a champions leauge were good enough . The talent of up and comers, oshimen, raspodori, elmas, alessio serpin, kavicha, lobotka the whole team is very exciting
This type of game plan requires the players to be extremely fit and committed. The issue is therefore fatigue- whether it can be sustained throughout the season, season to season, with older players, players recovering from injury/ carrying injuries etc. Liverpool rely on a very dynamic style and exhibit the downside this season. They miss the athleticism of Mane and a lot of important players are getting on a bit.
The biggest reason you are just talking about offense is because you can afford to. Know what that means? It literally means the defense is killing it. Plus, if you watch Napoli matches, you know Kim is cutting and intercepting the ball half way up the pitch for the attack to then proceed.
You got it wrong osihmen is quite a good poacher and header of the ball also improved in his linkup game..clear of raspadori..Osihmen is better all round goalscorer also works Hardest chases lost courses a real pest in the To opposition defenses unlike raspadori.
Good brief, but you forgot the Simeone 's contribute to our scores, when Osimen doesn't play he swaps him without problems, in fact at the Moment Simeone's average is about 1goal/62minutes..... As lightblu fan i hope they continue as much as it is longer possible. Enjoy tothe game tonight but for me Forza Napoli 💙
They crumbled when Osimhen got injured and then both him and Koulibaly went to AFCON. Now they have depth in the strikers. However can’t say the same for the centre backs
Mario Rui is silently doing some of the best work. Although he is a defender and a really short defender at that. He's provided some of the best crosses (assists) in all of europe.
Great Content as always, i do really want to know what is the application which you are using for explaning the tacyics? is application? or tablet? or ipad? anyone has information regarding that?! it’s important to me.
@@vivelagauche3564 That's more an illustration what it takes to stop Napoli. Fiorentina doesn't play like that normally, and they still got only a draw. And they have a good defensive left back. Lazio came to mind because the last goal they received from open play in Serie A, which I think is the only one, was scored by Kvara. That was more than a month ago as well.
Agreed, Lazio under sarri are a really good team with lots of quality in the team. Sarri is one of the best coaches in the world but he doesn't get the credit due to so much bias in world football going to England and the premier league.
They was, Ajax were amazing in the groups last season, they put on a football masterclass in the thrashing of Dortmund and then they lost form and bowed to ultra defensive Benfica. I don't want it to end like that...
Do you get lol the guy lost me when he said raspadori is a more all rounder than osimhen like tf...raspadori can easily be shut out by defenders he’s no pest lol stick the ball in the air will he win it ?..lol osihmen is so clear
@@canonsunited582 Raspadori is more well rounded technically (better dribbler, passer and about the same in shooting/finishing) but Osimhen is a better player for sure.. his speed strength, workrate, and the problems he causes defenders even when he doesnt score makes him the much better player as a striker, good thing for raspadori is he can also play wing and behind striker too so he is not only backing up Osimhen
They'll be picked apart in the summer like Ajax were under a few years ago, very impressive project - they remind me of Liverpool in Klopp's first few years, the giant killers, building superstars and getting the absolute most out of everyone
Yeah... but they won't come cheap. And Napoli isn't Amsterdam, it doesn't rain as often, the women are beautiful, the food is good.... It's paradise. Unless you're coming with big money for club and player, Napoli are forming a dynasty
@@theportugueselegend Amsterdam is a lovely city, so is Naples. But the allure of London, Paris or Madrid is something different. Its about living the high life full of glitz and glamour. Not that footballers moving to Real, PSG or Chelsea aren't thinking of winning trophies and competing at the top as their priority.
@@areebsiddiqui758 good try but London, Paris and Madrid are no Napoli. Once a player falls in love with the city they don’t want to leave. The only time they want to leave is when there are issues with playing time or within the club. Napoli is essentially a paradise.
I always wondered do they really think about this tactical schemes in a game or it happens randomly. I know there is grand picture but do they really maintain those lines you draw?
Napoli look very impressive as they destroyed Liverpool this season's Champions League. However, let's see them against Bayern , Man City, Chelsea, Real Madrid, or PSG! Their test is yet to come!
