the wrist watch photograph was the moment the Soviets invade Czechoslovkia in 1956. -this picture and his coverage of the war started his career. All photos were taken with no name credit at the time for his protection

The picture with the watch was taken in on Wenzels Square in Prague in 1968, in 1956 the Soviets were busy in Hungary.

The hand with the watch is from ‘68, 21 of August, Prague invasion and it’s his hand

He's not French photographer. He is Czech🇨🇿. Sorry🤣, but I am very proud of him because I am from Czech republic too.

Koudelka was born in 1938 in the small Moravian town of Boskovice, Czechoslovakia, and is a Czech-French photographer.

Not French. He's a Czech who first made a splash with photos of the Russian invasion of Prague, though his authorship was kept secret for some time to protect him and his family.
