WHAT MAKES WIND BREAKER MORE INTERESTING THAN TOKYO REVENGER!!

NAH BRO I'M COOKING RIGHT NOW! #1: Wind Breaker may have a unique concept but TR did it first and it is also more accurate to real life #2: TR actually does the same thing throughout the whole story lamao, if you read the manga you'll know #3: Plotless generic mid breaker can't hope to have more character development than peak fiction even in its dreams lol #4: Wind Breaker has a mostly light hearted tone which is not bad, but for a series focussing on gang violence, not the best route, tokyo revengers is way better in this category as it emphasis on the darker aspects of gang violence along with its light hearted moments too. #5: Honestly i don't see this in either series, tokyo revengers has multiple gang wars throughout the manga and also jumping taiju in the 2nd season, but the issue is almost always resolved with mikey, while WB in the first season is mostly a 1v1 tournament, but i can give this point to WB but i think they are both tied in this category. #6: I'd argue its more of a negative than a positive as you're basically admitting that TR has a better story and plot. Not saying that simple stories can't work (DBZ and Demon Slayer), but WB just can't rival TR in this category. #7: Sure i agree #8: TR is more relatable as it tells the story from takemichi's pov who is a normal person (not counting the time travel stuff, but that's irrelavent in this case) and not everybody can relate to Sakura cuz its mostly just well animated and well choreographed fights. #9: Wake up to the harsh reality, the world is not black and white as you see it #10: I barely remember 5 characters from the whole show #11: Refer to #9 #12: I'll give you that #13: Inspirational isn't always good, and in this case it is not necessarily #14: Time Travel isn't even TR's main focus, the character's powers may be overexaggerated but it is generally realistic #15: Correct me if i'm wrong, but wasn't one of the 3 Dieties of Japan, the leader of Brahman, Sanju Kawaragi female. My only issue with tokyo revengers is Takemichi didn't get stronger (like in fighting) and had to rely on his durability and his friends. Nonetheless, I think tokyo revengers is great. There's just something that makes it better, something windbreaker doesn't have.. though I don't know what it is

I haven't read the manga, but the first 10 episodes were ABYSMAL in all regards other than the fights. The only reason I watched those 10 episodes is because I wanted to watch something light on the side while working. But I could tell how almost none of the characters were written with any personality in mind - The MC's tsundere type attitude coupled with him shouting for more than 50% of his dialogue becamse annoying fast. And how can a teenager have a hard time understanding that some people can be nice to him. Is he genuinely stupid? - That one guy who can't fight but tags along, it was a pain watching him start panicking almost any time he was on screen. - Kota got angry and held a grudge against the guy who taught him to fight, because of ....what reason? Because the dude said he didn't want to take over a school. That reason alone made him hold a grudge? Does that make sense? - The opponent school's boss became a villain because... he wasn't having fun? That's it? They made a whole dragged scene trying to make him a sympathetic character, but his motivations were non existent. I wouldn't even call it childish, it was just non-sensical. And his friend was so anti social that he'd pick doing something he didn't agree with over calling his friend out and losing his friendship? Make it make sense, man. Tokyo Revengers got bad down the line, but it had a solid premise initially with likeable characters who acted somewhat how humans would act like. The only thing wind breaker has is the fights (and the art Ig) (Sorry for the rant tho, I realized how dumb the show is and just wanted to vent out lol)

no idc how many reasons i see, tokyo revengers is one of the best animes ever. the fights are epic, the characters are detailed and look so good and the plot is so damn good. the only problem most people have is that takemichi doesn't get stronger and that he relies on his friends and durability. the entire point of the anime is to show the strength of friendships and everything. takemichi pissed me off when i started watching tokyo revengers, but he grew on me and he actually is a good main character
