as a mere mortal who isn't some child prodigy, attending a local college for computer science and mathematics from a developing nation with a moderate family income, this is like looking, through a window, at a life that I'll probably never have. Still, it kinda inspires me to work harder and teach myself more from books and online resources cause I didn't get the opportunity to attend this type of college.
You don't need to be a child prodigy to get in. I had a friend who wasn't a child prodigy but he loved science and made me love it too! He told me science was just observation and common sense, and you don't need high IQ for that! Science will embrace anyone who's willing to observe and research :)
I love harvard & MIT but you see we can't hv it all maybe you can prep ur kids for this institutions! By the way its nt about the school but about the individual
i wonder if mit heard of this new system-ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_EkMjTnWk14.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KphWsnhZ4Ag.html before.
@@thatbobmcdick1619 It's ok to have your opinion but you don't understand the situation here. We work very hard to ace the test and get into IITs and when some random dude says MIT is far better than IIT , it really hurts
Remy Valdez my uncle who had been accepted to Harvard a long time ago was driving with the Harvard tour guides or whoever they were. (Students) and as they went by MIT they said “oh, yeah so that’s where the smart people go”
@@navatejavardhan9663 I am about to be freshman in high school and still need to look into college stuff more cause I dont know much about it so that would be nice.
@@hispantrapmusic301 His workload does not allow him enough time to reply to your message. They have very little social interaction with the outside world. There is only coffee and periodical nap sessions throughout the day.
AHHHH! USC, UCLA, Stanford, Emory, Princeton etc. I know it's hard but your tours are really good and hope you'll visit these places soon as a student (me) who is applying to colleges next year! Keep up the good work and the college tour videos
@@bindassbol9366 Out of all the schools I listed, I only applied to USC, UCLA, and Princeton. I got into UCLA, rejected USC, and haven't heard from Princeton
@@bindassbol9366 I wouldn't say I had anything that stood out, I applied purely through luck cause I'm in'tl. My ec's were mostly family responsibilities so I wrote my essays on how it made me be able to take charge and learn new skills which helped me in everyday situations. I had a 3.9 (we don't do unweighted or weighted), I wasn't top of my class-- maybe like in 15% and I went SAT optional. Take my application with a grain of salt cause I still don't know how I got in or why but hopes that helps.
Im surprised how many MIT students are in the comment section. As a current undergrad I have to say this was a quality video and made me remember why I love MIT. Would have loved some shots around West Campus though.
It's my dream to study abroad now I am almost 24 I think it's not gonna happen you guys are so lucky to have that quality of education please appreciate it and benefit from it as much as you can
It's not luck. It's years of dedication, hardwork and will-power. Show the same amount of work ethic as them and you will surely be as successful (if not, more) as them.
@@CelestialBanana yoooooo that's such a mood tho, I think I watched every reaction video for MIT/ivies while waiting for my decision... I guess it was good luck for us lmaoo
My Dream school.. I wrote this school in my application for college admission HAHAHAHA.. Btw I'm from Philippines studying at Notre Dame University. I hope I can get my master's degree for medical technology in this university. Ameen.
after watching it, I realized that MIT is a really cool place to develop the talents of those who love technical sciences. I liked the library the most, because the best ideas are born during the research 🤩
thank you so much for making an amazing video on MIT. the video quality was literally beautiful. this is my dream university to study architechture. best of luck and please do one on Harvard.😍😍😍🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩
I am from Philippines and am si thankful about this campus crawl episodes.. Harvard is love. i really wanted to be in that school (for a dream).... Thanks to you.
I really like ur accent. Like a mono type vocals with a slight stereo on it. I'm just wow about it. I bet you can be a campus tourguide for the junior years
Hi, do you know you can change your poor grades on your school website by hiring a hacker. you can also read all your bf, gf messages or chats on all apps in your phone without touching their phone. contact the hacker newagetech222@gmail com or whatsapp +1 850 347 4802 you can thank me later.
Do you mean to say "4 times the hardwork required to get into MIT = hardwork required to get into an IIT"? Because clearly IITs aren't even close to being the best universities. Just because the acceptance rate is lower and the difficulty of entrance exam higher, doesn't make a university better. Rankings are EVERYTHING. MIT publishes more research papers than an IIT and provides more opportunities. I did say getting into an IIT is more impressive than into MIT (because more hardwork) but that doesn't make an IIT better than top American universities. I don't mean any hate. Grats on getting into the university with the lowest acceptance rate in the world. It of course is a proud moment but kindly don't say anything random without proper knowledge. As an Indian JEE aspirant, I can say that our education system is really unfair.
@@ProfessionalRaider-ey8tj I mean no offense to you my brother, read my comment once again to know who's words were those. In 2014 Bill Gates had visited IIT Kanpur and there he made his statement which I mentioned above. The most prestigious and honorable Mr Walter who once was a professor at the MIT told that the talents that the IIT's produce is no where in the world. After all we're trying our best to make this world a better place to live in irrespective of the university we graduate from.
@@ruchirj4533 *sister 😭 I saw that but still it was surprising that some reputed scholars hold the belief of IITs being better than MIT in terms of talent. I guess it's the work ethic of us Indians that gets us to the top. In fact, anyone with a good ethic can become successful but since more of it (on an average basis) comes from Asian countries, I get where you're coming from. Would still prefer MIT for more opportunities, but then again the ultimate goal is to make the world a better place so why compare two nations? :)
@@ProfessionalRaider-ey8tj You don't seem to understand that I neither compared any two universities nor any two nations. It's just that I am proud where I am studying right now.
I don't think GPAs exist in elementary/middle school, my school doesn't, I don't see why it would be different for others. So weird of you to say that.
I wish I had a flair for scientific research to study in MIT! Students are building future in those modern campuses. The coolest place is the Media Lab, 'cause it's a bright, open space where you can bring to life all your ideas 🤩
This is my dream university, I work very hard, I study, and someday, I wish I can be there. I'm from Paraguay, South America. As an international student, I know it'll be harder for me to get in. I'm 15, and I really want to change the future of my country.
hey beautiful, ik its been a year since u commented but i just wanted to lyk you got this!!! you can do it!! as a 15 year old myself (i think ur probably 16 now lol), this inspired me a lot. i hope we all can achieve our dreams!!! we can do this!! i hope you're having a good day and incase if anyone hasn't said this to you today, i love you deeply

MIT is my dream university, since my high school days and i want to pursue master&Ph.D in Computer science(Artificial intelligence&natural language processing).
getting into the world's smartest school is also my dream and also I am a high school girl and I know a boy that get into MIT in my school he gets 800 and 790 in math and physics respectively in his sat subject tests
Every college campus that I have seen, toured on RU-vid, says they are the best, including obscure colleges situated in small towns. So, they all make the same claim as MIT makes here. In truth, education and campus experience is pretty much all the same everywhere, just so long as a professor has a PhD; and they all do. What differs therefore between an obscure college and a prestigious university is their job placement for graduates; and you don't learn about that, until you are ready to graduate and have to rely upon your Alma mater's reputation to get a job. What also counts about prestigious universities is that your classmates are going to be privileged kids, who come from affluent families, with influential parents. Upon graduating, such privileged kids can then further leverage their privileged status to catapult each other's careers, as they remain friends through the alumni association and network with each other, for life. So the only real benefit of an Ivy League education is your ability to cultivate friendships with influential people who can bestow you with undeserved favoritism; not the education itself. That is because any successful career, after graduating, is more about social networking than it is about having been a good student, while at MIT.
Yes. This what resembles my opinion about these ultra cool universities however I have never studied there and I dont want to. You pay a lot or you pretend to be a prodigy to be there just to block others who arent in fact lesser. Im pretty sure about this. This is warping.
@@hafu Haha would have been pretty cool if it was true. I'm actually studying CS in Germany, but I am an exchange students at Tufts this Fall... That's why I asked! PS: Woow, I don't think I ever got hearted before :P
