I have the same molds and had the same problems that you’re having the running but you did give me a good ideal to set it before adding a second color thanks for that very very helpful but mine took two days to dry and I haven’t touched them since but now since you did this video And gave me some helpful tips I’ll try again thank you
UV resin cures in the clear molds only. It doesn’t in the colored molds because uv can’t penetrate through the colored molds. Epoxy can be used in both.
Sometimes the molds are the issues. I had a problem with a coaster I did today with one of those amazon molds…It didn’t want to cure. I had to keep pressing that button over and over
When using uv resin in a color mold you have to do it in thin layers it can be done but it takes time also it depends on if your uv resin is hard or soft because it is used differently and if the resin balls check to see if the mold has a oil coating clear molds allow the light to penetrate the top and bottom color molds don’t allow that
Buy some mica powders, from hobby lobby or Micheals, and dust the colors over your desired area, a little goes a long way, and then pour the clear UV resin on top. I got that from watching a lady on RU-vid. I'll attach her name if your interested
I use resin and epoxy daily. UV resin should be used for really small molds or to seal. Epoxy is usually purchased in Gallons or 64 oz on Amazon or Ebay from $40-100. Look up "resin" shakers on RU-vid to learn the uses.😉
Gotta be careful with how opaque u make the uv resin and leave it in much longer that’s why it’s not curing the more opaque it is the I’ve light can’t penetrate below
Also do thin layers do multiple thin layers cure for 5 mins there are so many tips and tricks and the opaque molds are not ideal for uv resin and then u added the opaque pigments I knew that wasn’t gonna cure especially cause u used dark colors as well blue molds or opaque molds are ideal for epoxy two part resin the clear transparent molds are good for two part epoxy and ur resin and make sure ur doing multiple thin layers of ur having issues with curing don’t fill the mold all at once otherwise u will have to keep it under the light for ever and u will have issues with uneveness and wavy like top so several thin layers
Research products before using them it will save you so much frustration and waste. Uv resin is best used in clear molds the light cannot penetrate through the colored molds to cure the bottom of project
