Sometimes the initiative and joy you take doing these things; that's still not enough. They leave anyway. Because there's still something you're not going right. Been there.
As one with gift giving as a love language all I could think of was, “Can’t I have both?” Seriously. If my husband walked in the door with a bouquet of flowers and told me he had cleaned the house, he wouldn’t even have to ask. I’d just completely melt into his arms.
@The Glorious White Male Have you seen the most recent census data on how many hours per week the average man works? Ill give you a hint, its not 60. And the gao between men and women is only a scant handful of hours, which probably reflects the skewing factor that some women stay home for a few months to a few years to provide unpaid child care.
This is fantastic and so true! At 38 weeks pregnant, seeing how much my husband is doing for me has made my heart overflow. Of course with timing of everything, our valentine's day celebration will most likely take place at the hospital when our daughter arrives.
...the key is "without being told!" :) Every man should listen to this :D "....clean out the 12 - year old's toilet!" CLASSIC! Thank you for the giggles and continuous creativity. Love you guys!
Been married 25. Couldn’t have lasted this long with a man who didn’t do chores! Just today, he drove 40 mins each way to pick up what I believe is the perfect piece for our breakfast room turned study through Facebook Market Place. He did this without an eye roll! Swoon 😍
This was perfect but I lost it at the going out to dinner at 4 PM on a Tuesday. It's a bit eerie at times how much you guys remind me of my husband and I lol. We went out to dinner a couple months ago at a little Chinese restaurant (at 4 on a weekday of course!) and were the only ones in the whole place...it was perfect! He learned a long time ago that if I don't eat by 5 at the latest things get ugly fast. We always laugh at those people in movies or shows making dinner reservations for 8 or whatever. If I'm wearing a bra and pants that don't have the word "yoga" in the description at that time of night it must be for a REALLY special occasion!
Love this - you really know Kim's love language. Some people LOVE flowers. For me, it adds to my list of TO-DO's (OH so pretty, thanks! one more thing to take care of and keep alive, and then to clean up when they die). Time off (actual time off) is also golden.
YES! In our house we say “responsibility is so so SEXY!” But if you wanna throw in some Costco flowers, I am ok with that. Don’t go to a fancy flower shop though!
Love this! When people ask me what was the most romantic thing my late husband did I would tell them he cleaned the bathroom because he knew I hated to do it.
We just had this discussion last night! Every year for my husband's birthday, I take his car for an oil change, emmissions check, and pay the registration. This vid is spot on!
I love how cute you both are with each other! You can tell you have been together for a bit yes! My husband and I will be married 34 years on February 13th, so you would think we celebrate both together, but no, my husband insists on each day being a separate celebration! I will say, my hubby helps around the house all the time, and boy is it sexy! Hope you both have a wonderful Valentine's Day! Thank you so much for all of your content, it truly makes me smile! Oh and I am LOVING you guys in AR! Happy Valentine's Day!!
I fully expected the "plot twist" where Penn is exhausted from all the chores or "had a headache", but no...you resisted temptation 🤭 Kim's expressions had me dying 🤣💯
Intentionally going out on Feb 13th this year - NOT Valentines Day and IS Super Bowl Sunday… ah, quiet dinner conversation (obvs we’re not hitting a sports bar)… 🥰
I am 20-something, but I would die for those kinds of valentine’s day ‘gifts’ 🤩😀 my fiancé was actually instructed not to buy bouqets anymore, houseplants it is! 😂
Oh my this is so true. Choreplay is what I've learned to call it! As a mama of boys aged 7, 4 and 2 there is always more housekeeping than I can do. This video made me laugh after another day with our precious little monsters 🤣 thank you
Totally accurate. XD Also works just in general between people living together when someone picks up some of the chores. The washing up that can’t go in the dishwasher is one of my least favourite chores and it’s been getting done with zero fuss lately and it’s just The Best.
SO true! Just got a text from my husband, " Scheduled oil and rear differential change for your car on Monday. Happy Valentines Day!" True love right there.
Yeah, I’ve been married only 13 years…but I guess this isn’t my wife. She wants me to do all the chores, yes. But I wouldn’t call her a sure thing after I do them. LOL
My love language is Acts of Service too!! Tell me you love me…fine. But clean out that one corner where we toss all the shoes?!? Now we’re talking!! I’m finding if you love on our daughter in some way…like take her and her friends to a movie…then I’m yours! Thanks for putting it an amazing soundtrack…💗💗💗💗
🤣😂🤣😂 This is absolutely the BEST!!! My husband and I have been married for almost 22 years and everything in this video is what I want for Valentine’s Day!💝😂🤣😂🤣
Ok, I'm jealous of kim! My husband doenst do any of those chores except scrubbing the toilet - and only ours, he makes the kids do their own and the powder room. And when he tried to fix a broken drawer, it broke again and smashed my finger - twice. that drawer has been sitting on our counter top for like 5 years now. OTOH, he DID spend over an hour putting together a new desk with me last night with no fighting . . . and then charged his drill (after I found it and handed it to him) because one of the pieces didnt fit right. So that does get him brownie points!
Lol my husband was doing the dishes when we listened to this. Awhile ago, I told him doing dishes is my love language, and he’s done them a lot more. Mowing the lawn is a close second though. You hit the nail on the head!
