@@515Endi yea but at this point who he gonna meet he hasn't already off of RU-vid videos. The walking the lines at SneakerCon praying someone notices his ass
Yo bro I’m proud you built your own Empire!!! The old saying goes “If you build it,, They will come”!!! You did exactly that!!! Your magnetized to currency now!!! You’ve totally changed the game!!! But seriously look at you opening night/day it truly proved - “If you build it,, They will come””!!!!
I remember working a Black Friday shift like this before. It’s true, when you having fun and selling it goes by super fast and it don’t even feel like a 12 hour shift. Dope video bro. Keep reaching your goals
Here’s some knowledge for all bashing J for overworking his staff: I used to work for a U.S. Congressman and 12-14 hour shifts were normal. Even though I was making $10 an hour at that time, he was always there next to me & the rest of the staff putting in those long shifts. He was always driven before and after he became a congressman. Seeing that drive in him, build a foundation that has helped me grow as a person and helped me apply that to my endeavors when I left.
Y’all. Stop hating on the hustle. Most of you people can’t even do this so don’t hate. His workers are making more than minimum wage AND the workers chose to work there, he didn’t just force them to. He didn’t make this video to brag lie he said in the video. He’s just showing how a above average day is.
I like TwoJs, because you can always find him in the store, putting the work in on the ground level. He could just sit back, and let other folks run his business, but he wants to put that work in. I respect that.
I love that you let go the people dragging on other employees. Too many places let those people stay on and make work terrible for the rest of the staff. 👍
These little kids don't know what hard work is. Bitching about its the law to take a break lol. While you're sitting on your ass taking a break, your competitor is working twice as hard as you, getting twice as big as you, making twice the money you are. You go and enjoy your breaks. The more breaks you take the better
I like this dude. Hope he succeeds but $114k doesn’t seem crazy. He’s got ridiculous overhead. Being Black Friday, I kind of would have expected a bit more. Tough to survive in retail.
I wouldn’t leave the 12 hour no break thing in the video. You asking for a lot of problems. Especially if an employee complains. They got nice proof here
When was he ever flexing? He might be flexing his business, but from what I see, he is proud to be doing well and showing the process. A lot of people want to know what youtubers make and get mad when they talk about it without showing numbers. At least he is showing numbers for his business and being motivational. I'm a musician and this makes me want to go harder to sell beats. Keep it up!
I love tranSparent jay is. This is the type of stuff other store owners are afraid to show and this motivates me to shop at his store rather then others !
So he gonna tell all these workers who jus workd 12 hours w no break they made 100k n not give them nothing... throw them a pair of kicks or something 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 “you guys did that” so throw em a bone dude damn
This is typical in the fashion world. The managers don't care about anyone else but their numbers. Especially in the sneaker fashion, they'll use you and throw u to shit.
this is typical in ANY and EVERY business.. from retail to service to anything.. Employees(making the lowest wages) work for managers(making higher wages) who work for their bosses(making even higher wages) who work for the owners(making the most wages)... and guess what? whenever the owners make over 10 million a year.. they don't kick any of that down to their low end employees. the bosses get bonuses.. the managers get even lesser bonuses.. and the employees get nothing but their original wages. life works like this.. the difference here though is you'll see JC doing for people in public and showing more love than you'd get from another retail store or "urban wear" store. a lot of "scandalous" shit in the world.. but you gotta work to get somewhere. you're not just going to get hired and be given the key to the safes.
These kids never worked before and yelling about slave labor lmao. This is one of the biggest day for the store, those workers probably will be happy to work for that long and get pay good. Life isn’t that easy man tf
Bro the humbleness you show is pure, i wish and pray you make 100k 200k everyday beacuse good hearted people and honest it shines and it connects with people # love from London UK. Brappppp
Hell yeah you did it shaking hands and thinking people goes a long ways you don't see that in the world anymore that's what's going to rise your company to the top I love your videos and I love the vibe you put out around you positive goes a long ways in any team if they will listen to you they will succeed you're one hell of a mentor good luck in the future shout out from Dave from Johnson City Tennessee
Instead of giving yourself a hand I hope he gave you all bonuses. When my men would put in extra I would show them appreciation the only way that really means something and that’s monetarily.
Thank you for the video. Retail at its best. Much respect for providing the OT to your employees. In my younger years noticed alot of retailers bringing on the whole team to keep OT down.
Hell yea man that’s a lot of motivation appreciate you can’t wait to stop by an check out your shop gonna have to make a day to go down there I’m a day away I’m from Tri-cities Washington Lol
Two Js Kicks I wanted to appreciate the positive messages you bring out for these ppl and myself, recently I got robbed for 10 pairs and I was just starting but for everything it’s a Learning Experience
dont listen to the hate in the comments people who has been watching you along time like me know your a humble respectful dude and I'm sure you show your employees love off 📷
Still owe me 10 dollars for the extension cord i bought you when you needed it at dunk exchange in vegas like 3 years ago i remember when you guys had bought a new machine and drove the truck yourself and brought it in and didnt have an extension cord and i was security and i had one in my car and i went and bought waters to
Lol, his employees in the back have the look on their face of guys and gals that are scared to mess up. Relax kids, the thing they never tell you about work is to have fun. It’s not illegal
It's weird because when I asked them if that had one of the billionaire boys club x human race collab in a size 6, they said they weren't doing try ons and I see other people trying on the shoes that I wanted to try on!
Just cause “you take care of them” doesn’t mean they can’t get a break. I’m a manager at adidas and if an associate needed a break or even just a quick 5 minute break bc of the madness at store I would let them go. I know it’s your store and u wanna run it ur way, but that’s not right
I wish you showed more of what ppl actually bought, or what they traded in, instead of just accelerated footage of the foot traffic in the shop with the same generic beat playing in the background. These RU-vid videos would be dope if they were modeled after how Round 2 does their videos. It looks like you have a great shop but other than the Supreme fire extinguisher you sold to that guy (who looked famous but idk who he was) we have no clue what ppl actually bought. I know it's probably impossible on Black Friday with how many customers were in the store but don't be afraid to walk up to someone with the camera and ask them what they bought and why they bought it.
The Kids Nice I’m a fan of round 2 also but if you want round 2 style content, just watch their channel a little more. Documenting what customers purchased wasn’t the point of this video.
What customer would want a camera pointed in their face? Doing that to most people will make them walk out. This ain't sneaker shopping with complex....u cant do that to real people..especially on black friday..trust me i worked those days and the last thing u wanna do is keep a customer in ur face(outside of selling) because they're distracted and make buying decisions on the fly since everyone else has deals as well
Man! I remember when sneaker culture was on the super down low out here in the bay and all my Asian homies would have the rarest dunks and shit. I still have my Jedi dunks I got at TRUE SF my local shop. Now this shit is wayyy too saturated. I’m happy the owners of these stores who I know have been in it as long as I have are winning but damn! Skateboarding gets no credit.
Damn😂😂! Y’all busted you’re ass for him to tell you guys give you’re self a round of applause lmao😂😂😂! Couldn’t even clap for y’all. Might as well go work for mc Donald’s!
The whole point of living life like this and owning a business like this is because you have a passion and love for the industry and shoes. If you are unhappy with what you are doing then why do it? I think you spoke out of context and did not mean what you said when you said "even i don't want to do this" it doesn't make much sense then. I would love to run and operate a business surrounded by the things i love and enjoy. I run a reselling business because i love it and it brings me happiness and enjoyment each and everyday. I own a reselling business so i am free to work my own hours and live life happy without doing a 9-5 with a manager screaming down my back with do this do that sort of shit. You should enjoy whatever it is you do in life if you dont then you need to reevaluate why you are in the business you are in. Love the vid and keep up the good work brother.
Hey yall just worked 12 hours with no break making I'm guessing minimum wage. An I know yall dead tired. Well don't go home yet I'm gonna tell you about the time I worked 30 hours and how me and the other owners made 114k.
Man stop saying he “made” 114K that’s a revenue number and even he said they don’t even make 10% on that. Profit is probably around 10-12 which isn’t amazing considering the capital they had to put up to get this place running.
@Max Sharpe ur still not seeing the fuckin point this dude is trying yo compare hisself to his workers and its no were near the same thing outta that "30hours" he probably made 12 or 15 thousand dollars and the workers adter a long ass day will be lucky to make at the maximum of 300 bucks but probably more than likely alot less
This is not your regular job or your regular business. This is all hustle. You wanna be involved in hustle don’t expect the regular breaks or regular hours.
He probably hired a bunch of ppl beforehand and their first day was Black Friday. Retail stores often over hire for that day because of how busy it is so letting a couple employees go who are just sandbagging it isn't really a problem
You're right...but only ppl in to sneakers know that. A parent buying their child a hyped expensive pair of kicks don't know what stock x is...it's more non sneaker heads than us...i wouldn't be surprised if he bought some heat off stock x and flipped it for more in store ha.
If he had a sales tracker app they would be more than likely tracking individual sales results for the consultants. Instead of rambling on at the end of a 12 hour day about how much the store did, it would be way more motivating to talk about the individual success the salesperson has achieved....
2 js kicks i hope you see this question. i just would like to know how UN could afford to keep a staff of over 10 employees. most of your stock was acquired over retail. i think i even heard you mention you never get retail prices and you only have a 15% markup on inventory. so how is it possible to make payroll with so many employees.
Put it this way, Costco where I work we open at 10AM- close at 8:30 we have HUNDREDS of people we have a few days of the year that are million dollar days and just days we do 700-800k .. so for making 100k for a retail clothing store you should be proud af
as an assistant manager at champs i see all the similarity but the biggest difference is that i work for someone, gonna boss up soon, jay thanks for the inspiration
Couldn’t be mad at him if i was an employee of his. He’s not in an office just making rules. He’s actually on floor interacting, making calls, and managing the sales. But at same time it’s sales and black friday it gotta be tough because people come in triple the usual days.
bro I had a huge respect since day 1 and I understand u make hard work but u can't have ur workers 12 hours straight working like a slave without rest. Also, at the end of the video u should provide them free creeppp protect instead of charging them or at least give them discount... smh
If my boss made 114k in a day I would be stoked!!! You know them employees get taken care of. He’s just the boss. At least he’s there with his employees. Most bosses sit back at home and watch there workers from the cameras lol. I give mad respect to this dude 💯
Aloha J, Grats on the sales volume record! Can you please help me out? Purchased shirts online twice before Black Friday and both were cancelled and refunded. My wife recently became a sneaker head and has become such a fan. She watches your vids over n over again. I wanted to surprise her but can’t get a shirt. Help!
Is it me or do the workers look unhappy? No lunch break ,I hope the workers are getting taken care of, and by that I mean atleast 25$ an hr plus a commission percentage.theres enough to go around.while dude is playing on his phone for 12 hrs
