STOP CAPPING. women that served in the marines during her age was just doing paper work. she was never at europe, you giving props like she invaded Normandy beach.
I love watching her psych herself up for the next bunch of new recruits. She has a job to do, and she has to be tougher than nails to turn these new recruits into Marines. If she does her job correctly, these new recruits will be proud to refer to themselves as *A MARINE* for the rest of their lives. Just as I am proud to call myself *A SAILOR* of the *United States Navy.*
That applies to ANY recruit of ANY branch!! Just because the Marines have the longest initial (basic) training, does NOT mean that you shouldn't be proud that you graduated!! I don't care if you're a Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Marine, or Coast Guardsman!! NO ONE asked ANY of us how long we wanted basic training to be!!! ANOTHER THING...If Marine is capitalized, the Soldier, Sailor, Airman, and Coast Guardsman is also capitalized!!
@@bigdee8189 you are absolutely correct. I have made that correction, thank you. Of course it applies to every branch of the US military. This video was about the Marines and I was in the Navy so that's why I only mentioned those particular two. However you forgot the 6th branch of the US military, Space Force. Members of Space Force will refer to themselves as A Guardian per former VP Michael Pence. I'm glad to hear that, because a Space Cadet would be far worse than A Trekie or A Treker which would be ridiculous enough in my opinion.
I was never in the military. However, in my early 20’s, I was an FAA Certified Flight Instructor. I had many Marines and other Military come to me for their flight reviews. To say I felt inferior was an understatement! These folks could outfly me backwards, forwards, and upside down! Even though they knew this, they always treated me with the upmost respect and as their authority figure. They were by far the most kind, respectful humans I have ever interacted with! Thank you for your service!💛
One of my best friend in high school enlisted in the USMC...he married a fellow Marine...they BOTH became Drill Sergeants ..talk about a squared away house...even their grass stood ramrod straight !! They both retired as Gunneys..he teaches Jr. USMC ROTC at a local high school...she is happy home maker....
I'm an AF veteran. But I'm proud to say that Marines are most sharp, respectful, and friendly people I’ve met that take their military service seriously.
Thanku for the comment, I'm a Marine and stayed at Seymore Johnson AFB in NC for a few weeks in a field exercise and the Air Force guys n gals treated us like gold, AF has some nice stuff, we didn't lol!!!! The only thing that sucked was being camped by the dang practice runway with F16s taking off all day, lol!!! Semper Fi!!!

@@powerbad696 I understand. I’ve also seen ppl die right in front of me and be severely injured. Only just in my regular ol civilian life. One thing that never ceases to amaze me is that in a time of chaos, it’s not always who you think it will be that holds composure and takes action where it needs to be taken.
On a run in boot camp, I had started to walk and one of the drill instructors told me to put my glow belt across my shoulder. But I totally misunderstood her...I thought she was asking me if I wanted to quit, so I said, "No ma'am!" I still cringe thinking about that lol
@@TheLinguistable thanks. I was in nursing school during that time and my daddy would not agree for me to join.....remember i am old so my Marine veteran daddy only accepted obedience
We did a 5 mile run in OCS and about 1/2 mile of the run was on a beach in Pensacola, which is miserable if you are near the end of the formation. I started walking on the road when we were less than a mile from our barracks and the DI asked me if I wanted to quit. He kept on me and then asked if I wanted to become a sugar donut. I eventually did fall out and got into the van. For those that did, we had to go to the old sand volleyball court that was near the DI's offices in the back of Batallion. It was there where we became sugar donuts, in that we were cycled until we were soaked from sweat and then made to roll around in the sand. Just say, I never fell out of a run again. Granted, the next time we ran the beach we were the senior class so we had smooth packed sand to run on as opposed to what you would see if you were in the back of the formation consisting of 5-6 classes. What was even worse was after the 4th week we could go out on Friday nights and then have a short day of training on Saturday with PT being the first thing we did in the morning. The first weekend we had this liberty they had us running 100-yard sprints around a field early Saturday morning. We typically had about 30sec to a min break before it was our turn again. We learned the hard way that we should not overdo it on Friday nights since many of us started throwing up after the 3rd or 4th sprint. The DI's just laughed and told us to get back in line. For those that do not know, in OCS your training team consisted of an officer (LT) and 2 senior enlisted (E-7 and above - 1 Navy and 1 Marine). For our class, Honor Class 0497, it was LT Scheerer, Senior Chief Frangione, and Gunny Seargent Woolette. Here it is 25 years later and I still remember their names like it was yesterday. While Gunnys can be intimidating, they are the most professional soldiers I have ever had the privilege to serve with. Marines, in general, tend to be very professional and squared away. It was odd being yelled at for 13 weeks, and once that 1-inch stripe was on the sleeve of my uniform it was "sir" when he addressed you.
@Christian Lee on my way to the ship (the barracks in the Navy, not one of their literal ships), we had one girl that was singing cadence a few times. She was terrible at it cause she was more concerned with showing off her voice and singing ability. It was impossible to march properly to that. I wanted to say, "This isn't American Idol."
To the people who criticize the instructor yelling, this isn't about the instructor, it's about the soldier being able to keep composure the enemy or protestor looses theirs.
Garbage. Research and comparative performance has established this nonsense does not produce a better soldier, or marine. The services have now dropped it for the worthless drivel that it is.
I always thought Marines were some of the dumbest, cruel, and sadistic people ever, but that’s come from movies and other sources. Most of them I’ve met are some of the most sharp, respectful, and friendly people I’ve met that take their military service seriously.
I’ll never take away the fact that if I never went, I don’t know who’d I be. I am confident, strong, faithful and I hold integrity to the fullest. I ain’t never scared…. Ooohhh rah!!
As retired Marine I'm more then happy to see the women do anything they are capable of doing. But lowering standards to accommodate them is NOT an option.
I'm female and I agree. If women want to do things that are really made for a man, they need to do it in every aspect to the best of their ability and that's fine. And if they don't cut the mustard then they can choose to do something else.
@@proferein-homemassage9863 I'm thinking if it's that time of the month for a female, you know she'd be about ready to rip anyone's head off with her hands right!

@@sweat3500 because the US is going into their territory that they have mapped and know all hiding spots/escape routes ect. we dont, because we dont live there. so they have an obvious advantage being able to navigate the area perfectly, while we are going onto land that we dont know our way around nearly as well as they do. its easier to play defense rather than play offense, that being said its easier for them to defend on a land they know so well while we have the disadvantage. regardless of training, that makes it way more difficult.
@@faevori Are you aware of what you are saying? America does not wage war, but with it 30 countries from NATO and others. In addition to the air and ground weapons, the Afghans are also working with America in terms of army and police. All of this is not enough to fight the Taliban, which is fighting with Kalashnikovs and ARPGs.Imagine if the Taliban had received support from Russia, as Ukraine received from America, what would the US army be like?
Proud of these ladies! I'm a Marine as well that served during Operation Iraqi Freedom two tours in country. We come back and Veterans Affairs lie about our diagnosis in order to keep us from getting our benefits that we earned.
I feel their pain, I went through same hardcore phase in the U.S. Army Basic Training at Leonard Wood, back in 1983; back then the Drill Instructor would be your face 247 until you successfully made through Basic Trng & AIT...years later I become a Proud Desert Storm Veteran 12 B Combat Engineer, and when I got my Honorable Discharge after 8 years in, I've joined the U.S. Army National Guard to only find my self a few short years later pulling Guard duty at Ground Zero. I'm glad I had the upmost opportunity to join the Military and serve my Country like these young Brave Ladies.
Thank you for serving and protecting my freedom!!! Soldiers are my heroes, retired and active. Such love and respect for those who have and are serving. Once again, thank you for serving!
I went through Fort Leonard Wood for Combat Engineer in 2020 and boy were our drill sergeants something! They left us absolutely NO room to slack off. Thank you for your service!
Thank you for your service..I cannot imagine what you went through during Desert Storm..my uncle was in Desert Storm(Marines) and have much respect for you and our veterans. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
respect to these women, fellow men who say otherwise are insecure😆mad because women are fighting for your country while you would never be able to do what they do. God bless all of our soldiers, man or woman🙏🇺🇸
I went through Army basic in '86. In our company there were 3 platoons of males and 1 female . Those ladies did everything we did and caught more hell. They were just awesome. I had so much respect for those ladies
I remember boot very well and I can tell you a fact that our DI's where a hell of a lot harder on us than these are. This was in 71. Now here's the kicker. I was in the Air Force! They're strong intense training saved my life in Vietnam. You can bet your ass on that. I do believe that my trying to be the best airman possible helped also. Know this. If you're thinking of joining go in with the mind set that you'll be the best damn recruit possible. Do that and your time in will reap good benefits. It makes your time in easier and you get a greater increase in rank. Getting rank is everything.
Respect. I'm a ukrainian woman and I want to join our army. I hope that I can be useful. It's bad that I don't have a good amount of time to learn, but I'll try my best. I will do my best. To defend Ukraine, and to be proud
Guys in Marine Corps boot camp in 83 and I was hoping it'd be tougher because I needed more discipline I hope the women don't instructors aren't don't have the platoons of men

I was never in the military, but have worked and attended school alongside many former USMC, and other branches, and just want to say, I love the camaraderie and the selflessness with which you all carry yourselves. Grateful for you🙏🏾Thank you for your service🫡🇺🇸
I had two female drill instructors ("training instructors") in the Air Force. They had the worst case of Little Man Syndrome I've ever seen. One of them assaulted a trainee before the end of basic and I was ordered to write an affidavit for her court martial. It was a pleasure helping end her career. As a leader, you can either earn trust or make enemies. There is no third direction.
I just graduated but I know what you’re talking about. We had one DI get kicked out of our platoon for abuse of power. Other than that the 3 Drill instructors I had left where amazing professional ladies. But lots of times they felt like they had to out do the males in toughness because there’s people who don’t like us females in uniform
Coast Guard veteran here! This video showed on my feed after watching a Coast Guard boot camp video. It’s so interesting to see the marines boot camp. Much love to the women and femme Marines and veterans

I wish grown women would stop acting like children and start contributing to society like adults. Hormonal changes and being female are know excuse to act like little kids. and anybody who goes to the doctor for stomach pain, stop wasting your time and actually go to the doctor for real emergencies.
As a retired US Marine MSGT of Marines, I have the utmost respect for the few men and fewer women, who accept the extreme challenge of trying to become US Marines. It takes a special breed of women and men who want to become part of the most elite fighting force in the world.

I was in Army basic training in 1959 at age 18 at Fort Leonard Wood, MO better known as Little Korea just before Vietnam. All I will say is that basic training and the military have changed.
And we're going to find that out...the hard way. There's plenty to show it now but oldsters mostly stay quiet and careerists see which way the country is going, so they remain silent. Taxpayers deserve better but then again they're the ones who keep electing people who hate U.S. history, power and especially the military. I dunno. Pretty depressing.

We can't be a strong country if we don't have a strong back bone. Cowboy up and take your lickings like a man.... Couldn't agree more with your comment.
Men who talk about their bigger muscles and how women are weak have got manchild syndrome. They carry on about how strong they are and yet they want their wife or their mother to wipe their arse for them. Sorry I'm not being a feminist I'm just telling the truth. If men want to be stronger than most women, they need to actually start acting like they are stronger and they need to start taking charge instead of relying on their wife or their mum to do everything for them.
@Mr. M.O.G.O.M. … I have the utmost respect for ANYONE who serves their country’s military… Man or woman 👍😄. As for being the laughing stock of the world right now… I’ll have to respectfully disagree with you. Our government leaders here in Australia, at state & federal levels are the ultimate laughing stocks of the world, mainly because of their piss-weak handling of the pandemic. Rules were different for each state & our “leaders” were changing the rules & restrictions DAILY & not only did they confuse people, they pissed them off as well. Have you heard of or are familiar with the saying “the inmates are running the asylum”??? THAT’S what life has been like for us but now, with all our borders open (domestic & international) & people returning to something resembling “normal” lives, our so-called leaders are merely an afterthought. Come to think of it… They always have been & always WILL be!!! ☝️😆. Peace & best wishes to you my friend… From Australia 🇦🇺✌️😎🇦🇺
@Mr. M.O.G.O.M. … We both know the government are supposed to work FOR the people, but in the last 2 years (especially), they’ve been doing anything BUT that. They turned each states’ police force into their own private militia squads (I kid you not) & gave them increased powers to detain & arrest people for the most ridiculous reasons, all while turning a blind eye to REAL criminals. All of the BS arrests have been thrown out when the cases have gone to court which has made all the “rules” they brought in & made up look pretty stupid 😆😆😆… POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!! 👍😁
You’re right but these are fucking Marines, not soldiers. Most WMs, as hard as they try, are still piss poor Marines from a purely physical standpoint.
I went through Boot Camp @ Parris Island in 1986. A lot of this training we did not do. The DIs also had more dignity and did not cuss. They did yell and I was convinced they went home and bit their dogs to stay in practice for us! :) I earned the title of Marine 2 Jun 1986. The day prior to President Ronald Reagan's visit.
I went to boot camp 6 April 87 (San Diego). Our DI's cussed up a storm. But we still came out as men and had a lot more respect for others than when we first stood on those footprints. Our DI's did manage to show a softer side from time to time.
i would encourage any young person who doesn't know what to do after high-school,enter the military. It'll help you grow up,you get paid in basic,schools,sign-up for a bonus if you qualify.Sign-up for the G.I.Bill and any other educational benefits.
Hell, even I jumped back when the recruit went to lock her bolt to the rear and almost hit the Drill Instructor. I could here my D.I.’s screaming “Control your damn weapon, recruit”. Good times.
This is exactly what they do train you yell at you LoL. My brother went through this. This is only part of the training once you're out there it's up to you to stay alive and use your instincts
Parris Island Marine 2001-2005, Marines are unique, proud, stand tall. I will never forget it. Marines take care of Marines. ❤ I also served in the Army Reserves. I hold my service to our Country dearly to my heart.
To give women the full equality they’re demanding the USA military should adopt the American Ninja Warrior ( tv show)standards where everyone competes equally.
I did navy and army basic-training,the screaming/yelling didn't bother me a bit. Army basic was a lot more physically demanding tho,it's helps to be in shape before basic tho.A LOT.

@Mr. M.O.G.O.M. having ‘no offense’ a lot of gay dudes and girls in the military isn’t gonna scare off the Russians sorry this is a big mistake you can’t weaken t he military with gender confused people
