We should use Aluminium-Air battery. They don't need recharge. They need to be swapped, which can be done at existing petrol pumps. Indian Oil has bought technology from Israel company.

Here the logic is simple, If Prices of Electric Vehicles will be same as that of Petrol and diesel vehicles then everyone will buy Petrol and diesel vehicles. If you think that EV adoption has been on Mark, then it is an absolute delusion.

One flaw in your logic: when price is same or close by, the running cost for EV would still be less. So it would be foolish to buy petrol/diesel vehicle.

No subsidy, charge GST , increase the fuel price, raw materials...etc this goes on... Govt is making more money than the car manufacturers... ultimately neither manufacturers or consumer r getting benefitted..only Govt is getting benefit.. Petroleum products r not under GST If govt have so much concern reduce taxes or don't collect any tax on Hybrid & EV's.. Encourage manufacturers to make flex engines, efficient hybrid technology....give exemption from taxes...so that Manufacturers, consumer vl be benefitted and so that Govt can reduce import of oil.. Without doing anything it vl be burden to automakers and consumers

Diesel is the only way. It’s cheap. It’s powerful, gives good mileage and engine lasts longer. Bs6 diesel has proven to pollute less.

My sincere wishes to those who believe that EV charging cost (even at home) will remain cheaper once EVs normalize. Regardless of which party is in power government won't miss an opportunity to collect tax. So, be prepared. If you don't believe then look at what happened with CNG prices. FYI, CNG was touching 95 Rs/kg in Pune few months back and in some parts of western Maharashtra it was costlier than Petrol itself.

Please note that unlike Oil or LNG fuel... electricity is renewable, practically available infinitely, you can simply put solar cell at rooftop and still produce electricity. On other note something which is abundantly available and not limited for that marke conditions takes front seat... can't be curbed with illogical policy intervention, as something which doesn't coccur with market forces fail miserably.
