Homosexuals are fine, just the way they are, the way G-d created them. There have always been observant Jews who are homosexual, and there always will be.

God didn't create them, satan did. Once you get to know a homosexual he will confide in you that some older guy molested him when he was young. At first they will always say no, but once they trust you they will tell you the truth. Once that happens, it's very hard for them to have a normal life, satan has stolen that from them.

The Tanakh has so many commandments, rules, and proscriptions that everyone who ascribes to it is regularly sinning one way or another. It's interesting how religious fundies obsess over other people's sins while ignoring their own.

You're very wrong. They obsess about their own sins and confess they every morning and every night even those who never or hardly ever sin so they're constantly thinking about guarding from sin and want to guard others as well. It bothers them to know their neighbors are sinning. Those who don't care about their neighbors it doesn't bother them and then lasseiz faire.

I'd like to see the study on which you are basing this highly generalized observation of yours. I've lived in various observant communities for 35 years and don't recall anyone ever asking me about any of my sins, let alone obsessing over them ! I was in Jerusalem about three years ago. I was by myself. By chance, I got into a conversation with a young pretty woman in a store. She told me with pride that she's gay. I was wearing a kippah. I talked to her about the type of life she chose and she listened to me. I concluded by telling her, "I'm not chastising you for what you're doing. But look at a woman who's been gay for most of her life. A woman who is in her late forties. Look at where she is. Because that very well may be where you will be in 25 years." She thought about what I told her for a moment and actually thanked me.

Same sex and who we are brought up with is more familiar as children. Boys often only identify with other boys. So as an adult one knows what is pleasurable in someone of the same sex. If sex is a game, then people can play it any which way. My Father used me for his sexual pleasure because my Mom hated his abusive behavior and wouldn't be near him. I needed his love and intimacy, but not adult intimacy. The process of development as a boy was spoiled by this and confused me when puberty began age 10. My confusion was perpetuated by father's family and psychiatrists one side telling me to act on my same sex attraction and religious christians friends and some others from my father's family warned me not to act on them. Christianity polarized the problem. So one could say christianity and other religions are more natural. Years after I discovered my Mom was Jewish, I began to investigate Torah for real, and abandon christian perversion of Torah. It is also a problem in the Torah world, where people cut off their heart from their head knowledge. So I also became a problem in that world for exposing abuse there as well, which is just as covered up as in the cristian and secular world. Secular world covers it up with lgbtqqaatkip+ political mentality. A 2nd P is being added to include paedophilia as a sexuality. So incest may be more natural, but it does harm a child because a child needs safe intimacy not adult sexual intimacy. As an adult one can choose to sexualize a relationship with any other adult, and let it screw one's psyche. Baruch Hashem better late than never I am beginning to experience feelings I should have been able to be safe to feel as a toddler, young boy, teenager and young man. It is frustrating to be in my 50s to begin to grow out of just same sex attraction of pre puberty to feel male enough to think my attraction to women can lead to a healthy relationship and sexual intimacy, and address how unnatural or intrusive it appears to have intercourse where urine comes out, almost as intrusive as where faeces comes out.

Nice presentation But what isnt answered is the important question: "Why is homosexuality supposed to be a SIN?" the answer was "I dont know." It is NO offer for a young gay or lesbian , to leave his or her beloved partner and life in celibacy. It is NO offer for a homosexual person to marry a oposide sex person and make the other person and himself unhappy, frustratred till developing domestical violence. And all that just for a morality that nobody can say why and what for it even exist.

I don’t understand the thinking behind the statement “I don’t know why it’s a sin.” Especially from someone who understands the value of family in the context of religious practice. For two people of opposite genders to be together for life is the most challenging relationship on the earth. The challenge is designed by HaShem. There is nothing on this earth that encourages more growth and maturity than choosing to spend your life with someone so absolutely different than you. We simply miss the mark when we choose to spend our lives with someone because it’s easier. What could be easier than two people with the exact same make up spending intimate time with one another? It is a sun because it is the easier path.

But GD himself did not say it's bad. It was written as such in a translation of a translation. The #1 thing we can do as Jews and as children of Hashim is to question everything, you can not build faith on blind following, you can't build a relationship on ignorance. A proper jew must strive to understand what it is that Hashim is asking of us and why he is asking that. Hebrew is a dead language, what we have now is a reconstruction based of a translation of a translation of a translation. It is not to be taken as the true word of GD.

What is "natural" for one person is not natural for another. I am heterosexual (born that way) but know people who are gay (also born that way), It is natural for me to want sex from women just as it is natural for gays to desire to have sex from other men. This is how we were born, how God created us. Studies show that approximately 12 percent of the population is homosexual (which, by the way, also shown in the animal kingdom). Does this mean that what the 12 percent desire is unnatural? Are you defining the word to mean what the majority do? Or were they created to be unnatural? This whole discussion seems a bit bizarre to me and has led to so much violence against guys. Judgments against other groups about their differences have also led to violence, the most obvious being the holocaust. Jewish leaders should be expressing tolerance, not intolerance.

What is more natural sex wise is to be bisexual with a preference which can change depending upon the circumstances and that sex serves multiple purposes, one being to procreate, one being to practice without procreating, and one being social where within the social context it can serve a number of different social purposes. Socially sex creates emotional bonds and can sooth disagreements, something we can clearly see in another species with similar sexual instincts, the Bonobo. With Bonobos when there is a fight or strong disagreement a major way they get past that conflicting emotion is to have sex which generates positive emotions. This happens with human relationships too, where, for example, a husband and wife have some fight where both generate hard feelings towards each other from that fight and by calming down and having a loving sexual coupling they push those hard negative feelings out while bringing in good positive feelings of love towards each other, which helps them move past the fight and strengthen their emotional positive bonds. Now, naturally, under the most common circumstances, when male and female humans mature into adults they should have sexual relations which result in children to keep the species going as needed. Outside that need for sex to keep the species going, the purpose primary purpose served is social which is very flexible and adaptable. I believe one of the major reasons we have come up with some of the social rules around sex that we have is: > Sexually transmitted diseases were a problem and one way to minimize this risk is to strongly restrict sex and further, even restrict unnecessary skin to skin touching which led to keeping most of the body covered by clothing. Having sex only within a single marriage for life greatly reduces the risk of STDs. Since homosexual sex cannot result in children, ruling that out all together reduces the risk of STDs. STDs running rampant through a social group could be truly devastating and following strict sexual rules of only have sex in marriage where marriage is between one man and one woman for life can effectively prevent STDs from happening within a society that strictly follows this rule.

My questions is, how is a person suppose to just shut down their attraction to the same sex? I can't shut off my attraction to women. I don't see how sin is more natural. Bestility is a sin, who naturally wants to have sex with animals? How is incest more natural, most humans are not attracted to their siblings. Nobody had to tell me incest was wrong. In order to avoid inbreeding, humans and other animals develop a strong sexual aversion to individuals with whom they have lived closely in infancy and early childhood (usually biological siblings), a phenomenon called the “Westermarck effect” or negative sexual imprinting. Even animals don't like to do incest, you think that's because animals sit around reading Torah? Homosexuality is not natural, if enough people did it, it would be the end of the species. Life doesn't try to extinguish itself, that doesn't make sense what he's saying. Every animal has an innature desire to survive, homosexuality and incest would prevent that natural desire to survive.

I agree, first off, it is sin and we must fear G-d, love Him and obey. But how amazing Hashem is to help guide us not just because He have 'given the orders' but because Hashem loves us and wants the best for us. Thank you Rabbi for your wonderful teachings and faithfulness.

So our nature/what’s natural for us humans is everything that’s a sin? Our sinful nature is our baseline, then? To murder, steal, commit adultery, do homosexual practices, eat pork is our nature? Our sinful nature? Our natural state? This is so profound!!! So if by giving in to our (sinful) nature, our natural state, we cause so much destruction for our souls, in our individual lives, and the wider creation, whether we can actually see this destruction or not.

Hey what do you do if a gay guy is saved by God! Either way this was nice to hear. Use to think this but never spoke it because people aren’t use to it. But I don’t think we are focusing well when we think a gay man homosexual, which is the only talk here is sin when he has David kiss a man and it’s said they are in love so natural but then he dies. But also Moses prayed allowed for divorce. But also there is NoTHINg wrong with it just because you feel funny. And also the Bible grows and changes

I am shocked by what the rabbi is preaching here. So, murder is only a sin because God says so? He were were right if we were animals but we are created after God's image and we are able to understand the moral law. How can you compare sodomy with eating pork? Having sex with my brother is more natural than with my wife?? So, i would say to learn what is normal, look at your parents, are they your father and your uncle or you came from two women? One could argue in our fallen state sin is natural but still we are created after God's image that's why we are held accountable for our deeds. This also how rabbi Paul writes in his first letter to the Romans.

I think when Adam and Eve were kicked out of Eden that God created more humans on the other side of earth. I don’t think that Abel was married but, I know that Cain was. Cain got kicked out the area of where his parents were and was a vagabond on the earth after he killed Abel. He then found a wife. It doesn’t make sense that he would have married his sister. It really doesn’t state in the Bible about Cain marrying his sister and doesn’t say that God made other people but, it makes more sense.

Interesting but when Cain was sent away with a mark on his head I believe Cain was afraid that the others would kill him unless there is something missing in any bible that has been hidden where did those people come from did they come from Adam and Eve were they not his brothers and sisters and why would he be afraid of them. There are things that are missing in some stories unless of course they are hidden from everyone. And only a few know not really. Missing pieces to a puzzle and who can find the piece to make it complete.

Wow, not sure where to begin with this, except that there’s lots of philosophies of men in here and more confusion using reverse logic. I’m open enough to accept people’s beliefs and ideas, especially if they appear to be sincere. So I will not question whether this discussion was or wasn’t sincere, God is our judge! I’m also open with the topic of homosexuality and totally agree that we are fixed on this topic but that reality is that if it is a sin, so it’s lying, or stealing, or being selfish, or not loving your neighbors as yourself. And because I’m not perfect and sin, I try to be understanding that God gave us the gift of agency, and so I strive not to judge others, even when I may recognize or point out what it is right or wrong. I try to do this without getting personal most of the time. Having said this, I don’t think that judging or attacking others or pointing that they are wrong and in sin and that I’m right because I know the scriptures and the will of God is helpful. By the contrary I think is harmful and breaks relationships. It is best to keep the relationship with love, respect and open communication because it will be the only way to influence others, be an example and allow enough time for us to learn and exercise our agency to change (repent) through the grace and kindness and mercy of God.

Marriage is an invention I don't know Rabbi I don't know it's not an invention, I mean if we going to the context of simplicity which an invention and metaphysical terms if I want to take it from metaphysical terms and adapt it to three-dimensional reality invention is objective for example as a mechanic I, need a spacific Auto part that I need to install in my car I have to invent that tool because I can't afford it so technically, I'm guessing that in his context he is saying they wanted at one point people wanted to invent a ceremony in which to signify in our three dimensional realm and act a physical act of taking an oath out of love in necessity for one another in one another's world, ?I guess to me the rabbi speaking in terms of marriage being an invention as this ceremonial act, in regards to Cain and Abel that's just crazy to me, but I see exactly where Rabbi is going with his questions and his responses.

"One day someone is going to come along and PROVE that homosexuality is natural. Then what are you going to say?" (10:05). It's already been tried. Some biologists saw male ducks chasing each other and mating. Their findings were published saying: "Homosexuality is not unnatural. Within the animal kingdom, it's everywhere". With that observation, all 'Biblical' arguments seem to have been dismissed. But are they?

This Rabbi says he does not want a God that serves him, but the one and most incredible special way God serves us all is by loving us. So if you want to serve a God that does not serve us, such as love, " he loves us. Then he must worship the opposite the darkness, the blindness of the world. I pray for this R😢abbi that he finds the true light" that a dream may come to him. And open up his blind mind^eyes🎉 my opinion only.

So I would have to interject here and say no, it is not more natural to have incest and homosexuality. Take wolves for instance. In a pack they do not ALL mate with each other, only the Alpha pair. So, if you go by wolves and other natural beings with higher intelligence it’s is NOT natural. And if you’ve ever had a female, intact dog you know how strong her scent is and the natural desire for intact males to mate. So while the Rabbi makes an interesting point. I don’t agree that it’s more natural to tend to be incestuous and homosexual. I believe it goes against nature otherwise the species would not survive. But people, unlike animals are able to process sex differently and use it for pleasure rather than proliferating the human race.

It did not work out well for our people in the desert for 40 years to reject god's commandments in favor of our own personal understanding or desires or what we want outside of gods commandments. That is still true for us as Jews, the commandments are not gone because of the time that has passed. When anyone wants to justify sin , time to run for cover.

This argument would make much more sense if there weren't a confusion between "natural" and "tempting". For God to tell you, you must not do something, it is ,usually, associated with temptation. That it is possibly tempting for you do this thing or the other so don't do them. This doesn't mean that every act of sin is necessary "natural", in the sense of being a normal part of our lives. And the only way you can prove something is objectively morally wrong is through God, impossible otherwise. By 'God' I mean in the absolute sense, as defined in Islam.

I completely disagree, and espouse the view that what's natural is Godly, because the nature we're talking about is God's nature, how can He be against what He created and we get by nature, that is through being born with it? It's what's unnatural thats is ungodly.

You act out the commandments til they because second nature. If you struggle with something you go before God admit your sin and ask for forgiveness and ask for His assistance to avoid that sin. Your right, you make a conscious decision to do what pleases God . Your relationship with the trinity is far more valuable than anything or anybody.
