Me personally, and I'll probably get some hater comments, but I'm happy with what the Pokemon Company is doing with the amount of product and re-releasing/reprinting product. I think it has helped to weed out people who are only getting product as an investment and only care about value. It allows people who are true collectors to be able to afford to keep on collecting. AWESOME JOB POKEMON COMPANY! 😊
I totally agree. I am an investor, and I am glad there has been a huge price crash, cause I am in for the long run, 10-20-30 years from now, doesn't matter how many there are out there, eventually they'll be sold out and the price will surely go up. If you have money, go and get them now. Who has no money, get at least one and keep it closed.
I love how Pokémon company prints to demand, as least here in the US. I’m Chinese and I did watch news from china. Simplified Chinese version of that lillie premium box was so limited and scalped so badly…
I bought 5. Sold two for cost to friends, sold one for $30 profit, opened one, and kept one sealed. We will see what happens with the sealed one in 3-5 years. I just wish they had put out another 10-15k of the celebrations UPC.
i mean... dont call something ''ultra premium collection'' if it's not for collectors. Overprinting something into oblivion takes the collection part right out of it, theyre printing it like it's an ETB. pathetic, greed.
Tbh I don't think there are more English cards than Japanese cards and I don't think it's even close. Yes, Japan is smaller than the US and English cards are sold outside of the US as well in countries that don't have localization. But the demand in all those countries doesn't even come close to the demand in Japan.
Does that mean that the UPC was stuffed with the leftover cards to fill their quota for the year? I didnt buy it but found what happend to it very interesting
I don't know how many they printed. I know I saw multiple of these boxes in Gamestop, Target, BAM!, and even a record store this past weekend. All of them were MSRP or lower. Which is nuts! I think the saving grace for the UPC, long-term. is the stellar pack selection inside. Don't get me wrong, the promos are great too.... Albeit off center as it gets. But, it will always be desirable to crack one of these open, now and in the future. It will always have a change for a moonbreon or one of the other great alt arts is in it. I preordered 3 of them for MSRP. Opened one with my son for xmas. But, now I just want to open them to get the packs out and set aside the promos. I must resist! 😰
I opened 5 UPCs, centering was so bad on the promos that I sold all of them, best of these UPCs was that in one Fusion Strike booster I had a perfect Alt Gengar which I graded and sold for 250 bucks. I got now 5 more UPCs ordered for strictly store and wait for time to pass...
I bought two via Pre-Order from Walmart at MSRP thinking I'd keep one and sell one but alas I won't sell at a loss so I'll just open one and keep one lol. Thanks for the breakdown!
Pokenon tcg is severely hurting the value of their product by overproduction. The same thing happened with sports cards in the 90's also known as the "junk wax era". Even with massive production hoarders have storage rooms full of sealed product. Hopefully it doesn't become the new beanie babies. Congrats on your sponsorship!

You forgot that Pokemon also printed cards in other languages other than english and japanese, like spanigh, french, german, etc, so the actual percentage of English vs the world is lower than your initial estimation. That brings the number of UPS down to 758,345 boxes.
@@EvasBinder yeah it was deriums, they had a flash sale for their second wave to make up for over charging the first wave. They sold out pretty instantly.
Which means as expected which been also reported upon by Pictdago there are tons of them left on the shelf and online they are ten dollars cheaper. I'm super bearish on this set, now of course I want too get one. Haven't ordered online at all. I only buy in the stores I can't risk some greedy mofo opening up stuff and reselling. So I never pre-ordered paid hundreds up mark from msrp. Charizard UPC will crash very hard I predict that.
I thought i got a good deal with a preorder just above msrp… RIP those people who fomo-ed in at 1.5-2x msrp though. My question is whether LGS knew how big the print run would be… if they had an inkling but still proceeded to run preorders at astronomical prices then its really not cool.
Waste of time watching this. No evidence of anything. Just “I think this sounds right so I’ll go with it.” That’s how misinformation gets spread. At least find pack odds, get inventory numbers, etc. 🤦♂️
