Build Bigger Neck Muscles. A Thick Neck, strong and resilient enough to handle anything coming at it. No one has told you all of the Neck Exercises and concepts that I'll be giving you in this video.
Want to learn how to build a thicker neck while also ensuring it's strong enough to handle the rigors of sports and daily life? In this video, I'll reveal the 10 Pillars of Neck training to help you build a strong neck while simultaneously preventing neck injury.
Say goodbye to exercises that do more harm than good - I'll steer you clear of those Exercises that Kill Your Neck and we’ll aim towards safer, more effective routines.

If you're involved in combat sports, grappling, or contact athletics, neck training is paramount. Your sport places unique demands on your neck, making it essential to fortify it against the strains it faces.
The best part? You can perform many of these neck exercises right in the comfort of your home, taking as little as 3 minutes of your time. Additionally, I'll introduce equipment options to diversify your workouts and expedite neck size gains.
Get ready to build your neck fast and efficiently while prioritizing safety and injury prevention. Time to strengthen those neck muscles and keep them in peak condition!

I'm a pro Boxer and I've been training my neck for many years and have made many mistakes and learned a lot, though that has been a mission in itself as information on neck training is very scant. Neck training absolutely can prevent a concussion. I have a strong neck and am consequently very hard to actually hurt with punches, though stunning from strikes to the temple is unavoidable. But the real reason for this comment: This is hands down the BEST video on neck training I have ever seen. If anything I would say that the four pillars of safety should have been emphasized more, but repeating the thing about mastering regressions three times was perfect, really. It is so easy to hurt yourself when training neck and I'd say that a hard limit on three work sets per workout and two workouts per week is a must. More is not better with neck. It is its own category of training. Bravo. You've done a public service.

I trained kickboxing, grappling, mma, wrestling for several years. I have been doing those stretches for years, and they are so f-ing important. I have been doing neck bridges during those years and even though I am a young buck, I feel it in my neck. I never went particularly hard with it neither, but it is such immense pressure doing neck bridge no hands. Kind of concerning how many gyms and wrestling coaches use this technique considering what you are saying.

Apart from the physical side of neck, one fact that absolutely shook me is that neck is the thing that connects your spine to your brain and if you’ve anything going with your neck, it is going to, implicitly, affect your mental state in ways you won’t have imagined and vice versa is true too. People with cervical faces it too.

Fun fact: Breakdancers usually don't experience career ending neck injuries, atleast not to my knowledge, but rather have hip/shoulder/knee issues leading to them quitting. I'm guessing the gradual build up of doing freezes, moving to head stands and floor work gradually train the neck. I actually had a whiplash that i'm recovering from and i would say that my BD muscle memory saved me from a far worse injury. Great video! I'm using this video to get back in shape, but I'm mastering REGRESSIONS BEFORE PROGRESSING as some wise man once said. The hand method is great since your body will have a kind of "safe guard" that stops you from going to hard.

Great video! Highly insightful and informative. I’ve been doing weighted neck flexion and extension for a few weeks now and I’m loving it. It takes very little time so it’s quite convenient. I’m training my neck twice per week. I’m doing a few sets of neck flexion and extension one day of the week and lateral flexion and neck rotation on another day of the week at the end of my training session. I started with body weight only but after gaining more experience with the movements I gradually started adding weight. I’ve been thinking of implementing neck training for a long time to get a stronger and more aesthetically appealing neck but I kept on delaying it for no good reason. Neck training is essential especially for combat athletes and everyone who wants to become more resilient and less fragile. Thank you so much for the absolutely amazing video! 💪

Brother, thank you for sharing accurate and vital info. The initial warm up exercises are crucial before and after the strength training to keep the neck loose. A lot of trainers neglect this, that's why this video is the best I have seen on neck training. Also a good loosening up movement is"writing circles with the nose". The sled pulling is very clever as well, I will try it! Have you tried a dead lift with a neck harness? It feels good. A compressed c7 had made my life terrible. Doctors gave me medication and recommended stretching that made things worse. I then realised that my neck is weak and very gradually I started strength training only in the pain free ranges of motion. It changed my life and then I started training every muscle. Now I occasionally have light discomfort. Anyway, thank you for sharing so important information, I have subscribed. I wish you health and peace my brother.

That's AMAZING TO HEAR man! Instead of staying away from the neck you attacked it head on and IMPROVED its ability. Good job dude, and thanks for subscribing, I'm glad you dig the content.

As a former powerlifter that started BJJ 5 years ago, I had a few neck injuries and knee injuries (broken ribs etc.) . Ayntime I would get one of those injuries I immediately looked at it as a sign of my body telling me I need to strengthen that part. I stopped weightlifting years ago and my biggest mistake was not picking it up again after starting bjj , I knew I had to do it but I was just lazy and it cost me a lot...now I am obsesed with neck training and basically any weightlifting thats gonna improve my strength cause its key to any grappling. I am glad I came across your yt channel as it confirmed my beliefs...great vid

This is awesome! already using most of these. I can hold a neck bridge pretty well although i did rush into it at the start. As a martial artist and Muay Thai guy, I've been fairly strong so haven't Hurt myself. Neck is very built and strong now, this guy is correct! Don't rush this people. You can really hurt yourself bad. I knew what i was doing but don't copy me, I was silly and lucky.🙏🏻

In wrestling in high school, we would do neck bridges and I had no idea the kind of safety risks that my coaches were taking on. Thankfully, they were top-tier coaches. They started us off with supporting our neck with our hands on the ground during our very first neck bridges.

Only person in my gym who trains their neck. And this was before seeing a video from you. Will be implementing some of this 👍 I don't need it for any sport so i don't want to go overboard but some general iso strength and for reps just seems useful in preventing injury or future issues. In some ways I train just in case I get in an accident. Maybe it never happens, hopefully but I wouldn't mind reducing the injury risk. This is also why I have some balance training, just to make sure I maintain balance as best I can going into old age in the future.

Going to recommend some things. Check with your physio first. I use a head/neck harness with chin strap, hung from my pull-up bar, and VERY gently give myself a little vertical traction by a small bend at the knees, for a minute to decompress the discs. Keep feet on floor, don't hang. I do it after work, running, weights, etc. I actually avoided shots and surgery of my jacked up neck discs this way. Had a compressed discs, alignment was off, severe pain radiating down the arm. Just about disabled. Took about 6 months of light stretching with my harness and gentle exercises gradually building it up. And most important for me, don't hunch ever during the healing process, no couch sitting as it curves the spine. Sit on chair, floor with perfect head posture. Now it still looks jacked up on MRI, but I have no symptoms and neck is stronger than ever was. Do not compress.Hopefully helps somebody,. A good neurosurgeon will only do surgery if there is numbness (thats what my guy said anyway).

Thank you. This is great and well-structured advice. Some people mention that this is yet another thing to include in your training regiment (along with this such as mobility, flexibility, work on other niche muscles, etc.) and it can easily add another 20 min to a workout. At some point it does start to add up and choices need to be made. What would your recommendation in terms of adding this to a strength training program? At the end of the workout, on a separate day, etc? Once again, thanks for the useful content!
