About the Harbor water, yeah, just avoid the Inner Harbor altogether, been a while since I lived/worked in the area, but a couple years posses of young guys playing “knockout” was a big problem. Also, never trust a Baltimore cabbie, don’t care if they White Black or purple with polka dots they will offer to turn off the meter to save you some money, and jack up the fare.

Back in the 90s we were driving near Loch Raven Blvd, and some Nation of Islam dudes in their bowties were selling beanpies and giving out "newspapers". On a corner at a red light, one of them approached the car to try to sell us a beanpie, he had spotted my girlfriend (about 2 years before we got married) but then as he approached the car and saw me at the wheel, he did a 180 and started walking away. As he was walking away I started talking trash to him, like hey, what's in your newspaper, is it a secret? I want to buy a beanpie! Can't a White guy buy a beanpie? He had zero interest in talking to me.
I've seen people back-up on a one-way street for a block or more, at 20mph or faster, in Baltimore city. This creator is NOT exaggerating, and looking both ways isn't a recommendation; it's a necessity.

When I first started workin in Baltimore, I was in shock by the amount of homeless people and abandoned houses. I was honestly on guard because of the reputation that preceded it, but I realized that as long as you mind your business, people generally don't fuck with you. Unlike NYC where mfers act like they got something to prove.

They legit steal steps, freaking STEPS, from in front of row homes and there are parts that look like they’re still stuck in a scene from New Jack City but Bodymore isn’t that bad. Yeah aight 😒

Thanku for that comment. I watch a lot of slim videos and he has a strong following with his dances but also works with Seniors and does community work with kids. I work with at risk youth in Baltimore/Howard County/ PG-Mo counties and some of these people just make comments to get likes and laughs. You from NYC so you understand that every big city has their fuckery and good parts.
Even then, that doesn't guarantee anything. Years ago, I was stopped at the light on North Avenue at Howard, and I'm shaking my head and yelling through the closed window, "No," "No thank you," and even, "I don't have any money," while the squeegee kid is spreading filthy water on my window. He then stopped and stood next to my window, with his hand out, and began thrusting his hand toward my side window when I tried to ignore him. When I told him I really had no money on me, he began beating on my windshield with the squeegee 'til the light changed. Still, it was better than what a squeegee kid did to my grandfather's car several years earlier, when cars still had antennas. My grandfather told the squeegee kid, "No," I don't know how many times, but the kid still wanted money. When my grandfather wouldn't pay him, the kid bent the antenna in half. Regardless of how much my grandfather tried to straighten it, reception was crap in bad weather or some parts of the city.

There are two Baltimore's, but due to gentrification of Canton and similar neighborhoods, the good and bad areas are kind of sprinkled in together with some lower-middle to middle class neighborhoods thrown in. Even after living here in Baltimore my whole life (50+ years,) I've never been so shocked here as I was when I went to Atlantic City and saw the drastic disparity of neighborhoods, sometimes separated by one street. It's as though someone took a sharpie and ran a line down a map, and to the right of the line were the casinos, the boardwalk, and the convention center, and to the left were the residents in abject poverty, for whom the city government does nothing.

I went to moonrise festival in Baltimore and that shit was so scary. Couldn’t check in my hotel early so I had to walk around the streets to kill time. I should’ve just paid extra 150 to check in early 😂😂😂

Man I went to Baltimore for one year and went to this club. It was me , my, wife, and her sister . Her sister from Baltimore so she took us to this place that was supposed to been popping. Got to the spot and immediately got weird vibes. I was the only one being patted down when I walked in by security. Then when we got in everyone was looking all crazy at us. So I went to go grab a beer and then all these dudes started crowding around me. I didn’t pay it no mind.. I’m from jersey so I’m use to certain things. But I kept an eye out. So about half hour later they come started trying to crowd around the 3 of us…not talking to us but looking at us all weird and inch by inch getting closer. We all felt the vibes and decided to leave

True story four years ago, I visited the harbor from philly one day, and this guy was drowning in it, so I jumped in to help get him out. I was nervous after the situation because I swallowed the water, so I went to John Hopkins and received no antibiotics or nothing. They just told me don't do it again and sent me the bill.
You know that the harbor is filled with needles so bad that they put that wheel in the water to “clean cigarette butt” actually it’s for the needles because a lady fell in and got stuck 20 times just trying to rescue her and then the skimmer wheel came and the state paid out for that woman (“she was a tourist “)
