I have so enjoyed this series. It's a beautiful thing to see mules and man work together. Zach, you and the girls have came a long way in a very short amount of time. I'm really amazed at what you've been able to do with them. You can not put a price on the knowledge that old timers has passed on to you. Brother Zach, you say people have their own way of training. If I remember correctly, Mr. Summer's was train his young ones to turn and drive in his barn, in a video. He has some good broke mules also. That just proves your right about doing what works for you. Are you going to take May and June to.the next logging job to get them use to the new sounds? Yes, sir, that is correct, however, Mr. Summers did not do that until after he had them fairly well broke. He was just doing that inside the barn to practice with them while it was raining. But they had already worked several times before that. Anyway, yes, I do plan to take them to the log job as soon as we are go back; and that is when they will really start to learn. It ain’t easy brother, I’ll tell ya. I work hours no one else will. I’ve worked a lot of extra over the summer to get ahead so I could coast a little this fall for taking time away from logging to break my colts. However, whether I’m logging, or breaking colts, I’m always working extra from my normal job. I’m just use to it. I work a lot of late nights and weekends. Lot of times I am up late editing videos to be them ready for RU-vid the next day. It takes a lot of time and dedication to make it go smoothly, but I am glad to be able to do it.
