What On Earth Is Going On At Juventus?

Juventus are back in crisis mood after their entire board offered their resignation. This came after an investigation was launched into whether they hid salary payments from the Italian Football Federation during the pandemic to improve their balance sheet. And only in April they were acquitted of inflating transfer fees over the last few years to the tune of €281m.
The former President Andrea Agnelli, vice-President Pavel #Nedved plus Sporting Director Fabio Paratici could all face criminal action if Juventus are found guilty of misleading the market.
But have Juventus actually been accused of doing? And is there a chance they could be relegated from Serie A? Let’s find out.

they really spent too much compared to their earnings. Ronaldo signing could have been perfect if their game and team had at least 2 other constant scorers, Arthur was way overpriced, De Ligt was promising but again no results after spending over 80m. Recently Vlahovic still has to prove himself for the 70m paid for him. Not to mention they got 3rd place in the UCL group this year, probably the drop that sealed the fate of the board

I am confused by juventus transfer strategy these past few years. From making a best free signing of all time with pirlo and pogba, to spending a lot of money on signing new players. @@tylerdordon99 the top 5 signing record is ronaldo, higuain, de ligt, vlahovic, melo. first case is ronaldo 33yo & higuain 28yo. second case is de ligt 19yo, vlahovic 22yo, melo 24yo. First case is in prime age that they give impact but not for a long time. for second case, de ligt and melo is not really worth it because both not playing long enough. Vlahovic status is wait and see, and hoping for the best. Buffon 23yo €52.88m, no explanation needed. nedved 28yo €45m, although in prime age but spending 8 year in juve. IMO spending big is ok, for player that have potential for long run and become a core in juventus. Especially when this player signing new contract renewal. That's when we know they really love juve, loyal and want to be part of the history.

In the 90s, 18 First Division English teams left the league to create a the Premier league. Lowkey its like the super league except domestic with the top clubs starting the move, Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool, ManU and Spurs in a move to leverage their status for a better tv deal and with permission from the FA they did it. Previously the money from first div is divided by all leagues but the prem would only divide between themselves. The FA didn't agree at first and said the same stuff about what we hear about the super league today. Sky owned by Rupert Murdoch competed for the tv rights over ITV, BSB, and BBC. Sky merged with BSB to form BSkyB and ultimately beat ITV to the bid. ITV sought legal action for BSkyB submitting a higher bid without them their knowledge in the High Court but the case was dismissed.

@kilo_bravo7476
@kilo_bravo7476 Год назад
You need to follow Juve and Serie A to have a good understanding of the problem. In 2018 after Juve signed Ronaldo they were given as favorites to win the CL, that was the hype around the transfer. Juve had announced they were European heavyweights again. In the previous 5 years Juve had reached the final twice and the previous year they were eliminated in semi-final, however, in both finals Juve arrived as serious underdogs to Barcelona and Real Madrid, Ronaldo was meant to be the transfer that changed that. Back in 2018, the signing of Ronaldo in Italy was hailed as a sensation, since the time of OG Ronaldo a ballon d'or winner had not transferred to Italy. Not only Juventus did see a windfall because of Ronaldo, but so did the rest of Serie A as interest increased. Admittedly, some of Juve's purchases did not pay off, Ramsey was a complete flop, Rabiot only this seasons has started to play at level expected from him three years ago, De Ligt seemed to not be able to stop touching the ball with his hands. The purchase of Ronaldo also unbalanced the team in the dressing room and on the field, Dybala for example suffered a drop in form. However, the outbreak of Covid-19 was really the start of the crisis when it essentially left Juve especially vulnerable since they probably had counted on the cost of Ronaldo's wages being mitigated by other financial revenues. In March/April of 2020 no one knew how bad Covid was going to be nor when would the season restart again. In fact, I remember reading articles about how Covid was going to be a devastating for European Football, which it was. The Arthur - Pjanic swap is under scrutiny, however, this swap happened between two teams, yet Barcelona is under no scrutiny. The reason why i think this is the case is because the Spanish understand the importance of Barcelona as a product to La Liga. Ultimately, ESL is needed for teams like Juve, Barca, Real, and even Bayern in order to complete with the PL in the long run. The problem is not Juventus, the problem is the Serie A in which Juventus is locked in and so is the potential to be financially competitive.

People need to understand how much hated Juve is by everyone in Italy who's not a fan. That is why there are so many investigations on one team and none on the others, it's petty butthurt fans of other teams.

This is board of directors scandal and literally has nothing to do with Ronaldo, other than that he used to play for Juventus. Scandals like this one, sadly, are pretty frequent in Italian football. Love the Serie A but it's so hard to trust these clubs after calciopoli.

I like how Juve is not the only Italian Serie A club to go under this but get the most hate. I also like how Juventus is getting in trouble for selling and paying players while PSG has Mbappe, Neymar and Messi all playing at the same time while they simply got Donnarumma even though they already were paying an excellent goalkeeper. Yup, Juve is the big, bad club and no other club does the same or worse.
