CE Armor would have been cool for the halfway point of the progression system

I like the idea of the MK V being unlocked by beating all the MCC campaigns on legendary. It would make having the iconic set MEAN something more than “oh I coughed up money”. Back in Halo 5 I was proud to rock the Helioskrill armor (until it got added to req packs but whatever). There’s no armor in Infinite you can be proud to wear

That Scarab vs. Scarab mode you came up with sounds amazing. I would play that mode religiously if they made that. I think I may have seen something similar to that in halo MCC reach custom game browser.

I hope they at least lessen the ruthlessness of the SBMM particularly on social it really gets frustrating when you get punished for doing good in game whether win(feels artificial now at least for me) or lose(this will happen a lot).

You could have a mode similar to titanfall 2s attrition, where you win buy earning points and can gain points buy killing enemy players or enemy ai, which could be elites, jackals, grunts, etc.

I really like your take on this. "Halo is finally at the starting line". Halo infinite always had amazing core gameplay now it finally has the content to match it. I think Halo fans can finally afford the luxury of being hopeful for the future.

In terms of PvPvE, something like Titanfall's Bounty Hunt mode would be interesting to see. Two fireteams competing to score points earned by eliminating waves of a third AI faction.

would still like to remind everyone that cross core has been in the game since launch via the old bot bootcamp mode. being drip fed content is a choice not a feature.

You make the argument that if we boycott the microtransactions in Halo that they will just terminate the Halo franchise, thus, we should spend some money in the game to prevent that. I say fuck that. As a D&D player, there is a great saying about being at a table with bad players or a bad DM, "No D&D is better than bad D&D". So I say this, No Halo is better than Bad Halo. If the future of Halo is dependent on milking its playerbase for every penny they have for some cosmetic bullshit in game that has no truly tangible value outside of the game then let Halo die. This franchise became the fantastic thing that it is on the first three games and they had none of this shit. Plain and simple. Call it what it is, a shameless cash grab. Almost as bad as Dying Light 2 releasing a microtransaction shop in a single player game while having an event at the same time in game about robbing people. If this is the reality of the Halo title under 343, the plug should be pulled and left unplugged for good.

Another really good video! Personally, my most wanted feature is still playable elites, but I definitely agree that they really need that X-factor mode. In my mind, the best way to execute that might be a battle royale with PvE elements and scattered objectives, where the end goal is still to be the last man/team standing. Lore-wise I think it would be cool if you played as Red vs. Blue style mercenaries or UNSC defectors who left after they lost the war, which would give you a good reason to be fighting against the Banished as well as other spartans. I desperately want this game to be good, and it's nice to see where it should have been at launch, but like you said unless they put in some serious work to add some really substantial modes/content then they will never get back the playerbase they've bled for the past 2 years.

Thanks for the upload. Recently I went and played the campaign of halo 1 (never grew up with halo) and was amazed at what halo was back then, and how far it fell.

Bro there is an action sack, it’s social slayer. I played as a literal action figure and had guns that were still normal size

They could do another collaboration with mega blocks where they sell individual micro action figures with unique armor that digitally ties to your Halo infinite Spartan.

If people like that new pvpve mode that's cool but I really want pve just give me classic firefight or floodfight I really enjoyed those modes I wanna see it return in infinite.

Season 5 is definitely a step in the right direction but there's SOO much more to be done. I'm impressed with the forge updates but it seems like 343 is depending on the community to carry the game. Like you said in the video the sandbox is super limited and many of the old weapons need to make a return. I mean its halo INFINITE... this game should be everything halo. They dropped the DMR like it was a 'new' weapon lol. Also, if they want the forge and custom games to carry the game, then the custom games browser should be improved and there should be matchmaking for some of the cool forge game modes (battle royale, tower defense, fat kid, etc.) Like imagine you could host dedicated servers with 24/7 duck hunt or BR or tower defense. I know so many people who would reinstall the game for that kinda stuff.

any sort of achievement/challenge based unlocks is all this game needs to give someone an incentive to play, i remember booting up reach just to show off the recon helmet or the haunted pilot helmet and even now with weapon skins there could so easily be more challenges to gain some sort of specific item(s)

Would've been a cool idea to have the CE Mark V armor as a reward on the rank progression but also keeping it in the store for folks that don't want to grind, the Transgressor one could've had the same treatment- but, like you said, make people complete all Halo games in the MCC on Legendary or idk Flood levels from all games in Heroic-Legendary but like before also keeping the bundle in the store for people that aren't interested in doing that.

Halo 3 was basically a perfect game in my eyes. I never installed Infinite because I saw the writing on the wall. I'm glad people are having fun with it, but to quote Padme, "You're going down a path I can't follow."

I have no problem for new cores (Armor styles/ Spartan styles) to pay or funky Armor (Legendary or so) or new weapon skins but for armor a bundle of normal skins which are challange rewards, like there is a mark 7 core for 20$/or like now in the pass in a rome style which include challanges for 3 normal sets where you look like a recon a fortifed centurion or legion medic, or like apex mythic you can play and earn 3 stages from a light armor to a centurion which is more massiv and for tanking bigger cal. For lore and funky store sets are like a gladiator look or the elite guard (something with P don't know it know) which someone who wish to look like that to buy but everyone else have a selection from the standart pieces from the challanges to custom

I'd like to see some campaign dlc, or a multiplayer mode that let's you play as an odst which is something that i wanted since the day I played halo 3 odst for the first time

I think halo MP is the best it's been in a while at least for what I'm looking for in a multi-player game. I just wish they didn't muddy up the experience with the virtual shop and battle pass trends where you have to dump like 150 hours in to get xp boosters and color pallets and like 1 set of armor (and omfg the challenge swaps what were they thinking). Really holds back the overall opinion and reception of the game

More things will be cross core in the future, as they have said that they are working on cross core shoulders next Let’s just hope they don’t use more cross core as an excuse to raise prices

Halo is finished, so what are they going to do now? I dunno maybe fix the networking and custom games, finish adding modes and weapons, fix the UI, add pre/post game lobby, add match composer, add server select, add anticheat, also all the brand new modes in the video, and fix all the current/new bugs, but its basically finished guys

Love the ideas of new gamemodes. The problem is that Infinite doesnt even have all of its own Halo content in its own sandbox game yet. Still missing tons of gamemodes, lots of guns and plenty of vehicles. Bringing in existing assets shouldn't be taking this long as they already know what it does and what it looks like. I love the idea of new content but considering it nearly took 2 years just to add infection/DMR, imagine how long its gonna take to make a new gamemode or weapon. The idea of Dont spend December is hilarious and would be so hard to pull off in the christmas season but man that would definitely hurt them and leave a message.

Man I really wish this series to be successful again, but the players like me outside of USA still suffer from server issue. One example is that we cannot even precisely predict the melee range because of it. Hopefully they will fix it sooner but man I have heard it from the beginning. The players still play this game do have the true love for the Halo.

I think a mode where you play as a odst w/ very light shielding (maybe new advanced odst armor) verses super low level elites or supped up skirmishers with a bunch of ai in the mix with one main objective, like maybe a light frigate vs a really small banishes cruiser or something would be really cool

Or the SW Battlefront 1 ATAT mode. One team has a sacrab. Map slowly unlocks as teams move with scarab to defend sacrab and destroy their OBJ before enemy spartan team destroys Scarab. This is like the scarab mode, invasion, and map unlock mode all rolled into one. King me.

I was insanely confused why people were going nuts over season 5 when a majority of the advertised flood cosmetics and the Master cheif armor were multiple paid $20 bundles. And all the actual cool stuff is community made stuff you can’t even find. Why are people so content with a game that has become nothing but a shopping center.

the two things that killed infinite for me was it not feeling like halo (ie: running, sliding, aiming with every gun, ect...), and it FEELING like a free game. (ie: overabundance of microtransactions and BP's).

I think an other solution for monetization is to have a way to earn thing slowly but for free. Like earning credits in some ways, like for finishing a game (And maybe more by winning) or earning specific medals during multiplayer (Not recommanded, it would propably end in peoples farming the medals rather than playing the objective, but still a possibility). It would be minimal, and take maybe a week or two of grind to get enought to get one small thing into the shop, but it would allow people to get it for free. And it could be a different type of credit maybe, that could allow buying stuff individually, or simply buy thing like regular credits but at higher prices (Or even better, having a unique rotation that can't have actual season items, and only older ones that are usually out of rotation, so without paying, you'd be a season behind everyone else in terms of cosmetic. Would work insanely well I think). Many people don't spend money not because they can't, but because they're pissed by the shop. The way you access stuff, how much it costs for what you get, etc. But giving a free way to get things make people change their minds over it, even without changing the prices. And usually, they buy more. Because they weren't locked from having this thing, they can just get it quicker. And you know, you can get it for free, it ain't the same thing, ok it's expensive but it isn't as expensive as if you couldn't get it for free...Yeah? People are more incline to pay to save themselves time to get something, rather than having something that they were locked from, especially if they considere that they should have it since the start (Which is the whole dilemna for infinite, as people compare the way infinite works to previous halo games, where multiplayer and singleplayer were parts of the same game, which made the whole customization a free part of it). And this model worked. I mean, take League of Legends. That's how they made their shop. Having skins, that are especially expensives for somes, and allow people to get them... free. Through shards, through events, throught, well, playing in the end (Spoiler: They did and are still doing shitload of money). I can't remember which MMO did that as well, were you could trade the currencey you were buying with real money, with the in game money, which allowed people to pay their subscription to the game for free by playing, which made people just play more to the game, and in the end, buy more stuff.. I think it was Dofus? And I think Warframe as a similar thing as well. There's quite a few examples actually, and they're doing more than fine. It would change a lot the overall opinion on the game, would make the illusion they heard feedback on the shop, give people a reason to play with the idea that playing is trully rewarding (And winning even more), and make the cash flow on their side. And it would be an extremly good compromize for a lot of players that left because of the shop. In fact, the free to play type of game is the perfect thing to find a big midle ground between what player want and how much money to make. They could just not go as predatory as they do, and make even more money. Because yeah, in a world were 100% of their players just like to spend a kidney worth in money into the game blindly every monthes, their model works better. But in real life, they're losing a gigantic chunk of their customers doing so (And of their players, which impact their customers that are actually paying, as an online game lacking players turns dead quickly). So they're just losing a lot, in the end. And the people actually paying, are the people that would still pay. They'd just get new ones. And mostly because the illusion of free is extremely powerfull (Reason why we call it free to play and not something else), and time is a much more valuable ressource than money (Reason why people pay for exp boost, instance reset or stuff like that in mmo). But hey, just my takes on it.

11:50 - FINALLY. SOMEBODY mentions this. It's REALLY bad. I expect the browser to work like this: 1. I can filter and sort the lobbies, especially by player count + ping and those are saved if I come back 2. I can manually refresh, or it refreshes for me (and moves around entries vs reloading the entire ui) 3. I select a lobby, see it's details+lobby, and can JOIN 4. Once joined, it'll start to load the game+map and then i'll spawn in when it does 5. Leaving this menu/joining another game will force me to leave THAT lobby, and join another to load that map+game 6. When a match is done, if it's set to continue again/in a rotation, everybody is back in the lobby and it loads again, or WAITS until the leader has started the game and tells me what's going on It works like this: 1. I can filter and sort, but it's not always obvious on the order. I can sort by player count. Choices aren't saved..... 2. When refreshing, it loads everything again and puts me on the first page. I can't just go back to a particular page.....I must go through them one by one... and results can move from page to page -- results aren't cached at all, so you can EAISLY miss games if you go to the next page 3. I join a game, and it joins the fireteam/lobby 4. I can browse around and leave the menu, but i can't easily see the game screen unless i dig around in my sidebar menus 5. It'll randomly load me into the game when it loads, which sometimes isn't indicated to me 6. Browsing the game browser again... and trying to join another fails -- as im in a lobby... Leaving a lobby manually often fails.... and im kind of "in limbo" not in the game, but somehow in the lobby and hearing everybody talk 7. When the game restarts everybody is back in the game browser/main menu and NOT the game lobby... you don't always enter the game when the leader starts, and must leave / join again 8. The only way to fix odd issues of being stuck in a lobby is to exist halo and restart it -- and needing to search the browser again... There's no "favorite this person to see their lobbies" if they host a lot but arent your friend. No real way to search via text of the lobby. It's... just... so annoying it ruins what could be an amazing experience. MCC and literally any other pc game has done custom game browsers for decades.....

You could litteraly get the Halo reach style of the mark V helmet free in the final tier in the winter uptade free pass and it was a 30 tier pass

Awesome video! If 343 bring back invasion and playable elites I’ll cream. Imagine a game mode like battlefront 2’s supremacy in invasion. Awesome ground battle that leads to either boarding a UNSC frigate or a covenant cruiser and then destroying the ships with various objective game modes sections in each ship. King of the hill to capture the bridge, and then assault to destroy the ship. I’m sure someone could be more creative with it than me, but that mode would slap!

Here where I live there is a law that prevents companies from selling products together without having a way to buy them individually. It's called a tied sale. What games normally do is put the items separately but at a price almost higher than the bundle. And believe me, these bundles are not cheap hshusau.

I'd be daft if players can't be dinos, robots, or female Spartans during season 12, let alone split or quad screen.

There are rumours of 343 being in the concept stages for a new Halo game being made from the ground up on UE5. I can't decide if it's bad or good though. There is definitely a lot of issues with Infinites engine, nobody can deny that. Artistically this game does look gorgeous at times but on a technical level this might be one of the most borked games Ive ever seen. Its not just networking. Its the rendering and physics as well. Theres just something "off" about this game that wasnt an issue with previous Halo games, even 4 and 5. And 343/Microsofts hiring practices definitely create a lot of issues for them because this engine is so unfamiliar for new hires they need a long time to even start being a productive member of the team. So switching to UE5 makes a lot of sense as it will eliminate a lot of issues theyre stuggling with internally. Im just afraid Halo might lose a lot of it's identity if they do that. I don't think Ive ever seen a UE game that handles physics as well as Halo does for example.

Halo flood horror mode, surviving a glassed planet, a new campaign dlc, and so much more could bring halo back to the mainstream, even just adding flood maps and AI would bring so many people back

Bungie developed Halo as a single-player focused game with an immersive, rich campaign story as the main hook. Anyone talking about multi-player maps & customizable add-ons like they matter, is missing the entire point of why Halo was great to start with. This is just rewarding 343/Microsoft for serving more slop.

Not gonna lie, I would like to see them add the HW2 cyclops, or any of the vehicles or mechs from lore, cuz most of them are quite interesting in design and most haven't really seen any presence in the games other than HW1 and 2, and imo should be added to the game

Im probably gonna purchase the MKV, but for those that dont want to buy ut. mkvii core, MKV helmet of your choice, ODST shoulders (when cross core shows up) or the MKV shoulders for that core and if you played the game early enough use platinum anniversary or cadet sage. Id argue that 343 could build up to a battlefront 2 style invasion mode, up the UNSC weapons and AI stuff, odsts and spartan AI to make up for UNSC ais clear lack of varientd. Hell maybe bring the halo legens prototype suit as a UNSC boss AI. bring in the warzone objectives and etc. Do offensive / defensive invasion, invasion in the style of btb with a ww1 tench warfare feel and another in the style of battlefront 2 classics ship v ship combat. Would allow the game to properly stand put by trying to take on the standout modes thet broke the molds
