WHAT ON EARTH IS THIS?! THIS WEEK AT D&J PROJECTS EPISODE 19!!
In this weeks video, we are busy busy busy!!! We have grabs to do, we have fencing to install, we have gates to hang, and we have a mammoth of a dig out job to complete using our bare hands and a few shovels!! PLUS, we also find something very strange that we have no idea what it is!! If you know what it is, just let us know in the comments below!!!

The Bird is indeed a Heron !

@12:15 - The heron is the reason there are no cygnets. Herons eat them. They also eat ducklings, other young birds, including their own chicks.

U be proud of me boyos I sorted out my leaning concrete post and reused old deck boards and made a panel, nice solid and level looks really cool to, u all gave me the confidence to have a go and it’s not to shabby cheers boys

It is a grey heron fishing. Birds moult worn damaged feathers so they have new feathers in good condition for flying.

What a busy week, that bird was a Heron and on that dig out job that was an old armoured electrical cable. Good to see the boss made an appearance (Mum) 😂😂😂

It is a Grey Heron - The grey heron is a big, strongly built heron. This species is one of the UK's most recognisable birds. Their colouring is largely grey above and greyish-white below. They have a strong, straight, dagger-shaped yellow bill that they use to harpoon fish.

I have been thinking the same thing! I like the fences and the pavers lol I'm in FL and my HOA makes me have a black iron fence with no privacy and I also can't do anything with my yard but water it and keep it edged and mowed. Too bad the UK is so cold! Haha

Great work again fellas, a few things, it was a heron. That looked like it was an old electrical cable joint. Could possibly be an old supply cable. Do you guys buy timber from James Jones and sons. I can tell you it’s the best timber around. 😀😀😀

Great video. Quick scan of the comments and can't see anyone else mentioning it - the tera-dactyl bird was a Heron I think. Seen them carry off massive 20 year old carp from an unprotected pond like they're snacks.

" and it's as easy as that...." Lol, you guys putting in new panels, try it as 5' nothings, me and the missus just did 15 panels. We had to use step ladders and deffinately not on the windy days, we'd have ended up in your patch if the wind had took us. Great work guys, and mum.

You were right it is a heron and usually they just stand very still in the water until a fish swims by and they very quickly stab it.

That 1st bird looks like a plump pigeon & the 2nd one in the water is a heron. Some people refer to it as a crane. I love the wildlife where you are. Nice that you include animals & birds in your amazing videos. Big thumbs up from California.

I believe the bird you saw is a Crane. A Heron is a defined curve in its neck whereas a crane has a long straight neck. Love the wildlife!

Oh dear a HERON would not be surprised if the heron has eaten the cygnet swan , the heron by me as cleared out one of my ponds and I have seen them take wood pigeon chicks 🐥.
