What One Direction Would Be Like Without Louis Tomlinson 

To me louis Tomlinson was the most important member. real backbone of the band. Without him they would have lost the plot long ago. He keep them in check even tho he suffered along the way the most. He managed to get leverage for boys to make more decisions. He made logical very smart decisions. He uplifted everyone's spirit even tho he had so much shit on his plate all the time. He is adored by 4 of them and rightfully so. He was chosen unofficial leader of the band by the members themselves and that's the realest power as a leader. He doesn't have to he overbearing to be considered leader he just is. He has that energy. I have been to his Turkey concert at the end of the month and the way he carries himself, not trying at all but he owns the stage, everywhere he goes really. His presence is the most prominent. This man is something special. THANK YOU truly your channel is my comfort place. I just love you for loving him this much for putting effort for being there for him. As always one of the best videos ab louis in yhe internet, just wanted to say you make difference in terms of showing people just how much he actually contributed in the band even tho he believed he didn't. 10 years ago i saw VD for the first time and if it wasn't for louis i would have never know ab them,he was the most intriguing intresting unique thing ever. I think Louis made the guys feels confident enough to have fun and be themselves even if they were dealing in a heavily produce, explotive and controlled environment. He also wasn't afraid to speak for himself and for the band in terms of having more control over the music, songwriting and other aspects of the band. Louis voice back in the 1D era was so easy to identify and was the glue of the band I think now his voice is stronger and even more beautiful. I love this message so much, thank you f for another beautiful video. Your channel is amazing.

Louis was the one who made the band unique in every way possible. He is the reason why I became a fan. He is extremely vital member of the band if not as Harry quotes he is the leader for a fact. I can't believe this is still an argument - he's absolutely integral to the band, not just with his vocals (particularly carrying all the choruses) and in his songwriting, but also in terms of dealing with management, increasing the band's role in their own development, and stopping them from going off their heads with boredom and frustration by devising daft games etc. I think it was Niall who said they would have lost the plot without Louis.

Honestly I believe if louis hadnt been in the band the world wouldnt have the Harry that everyone adores. Also I feel like Louis knew each member better than anyone of the other’s did each other and had a bond with each individual and not just a bond as a group. Lou is like the light to the band. niall himself said without him the band would be boring. its known that behind the scenes he was also the one that worked very hard to support the boys. They assume that just because his voice is different it's bad. I 100% would not have liked one direction as much and became a directioner if it weren't for louis. im sure this is true for many others as well. He stands out and he brings attention to the band. He makes it so that everyone feels included. Look at any one of his friendships with any one of the boys in the band. They were all interactive and they all seemed to look up to him. Even if he was loud and "immature" he was definitely a role model to not only all the boys but to many fans as well. Each boy brought their own charm and own thing to the band. Just because him strayed farther from what the others brought doesn't mean it was negative. The band would have much less fans if louis was not there. He is interesting and a ray of sunshine. The light he exerts helps the rest of the boys smile and helps us smile as well. I can say with a lot of pride that he is my comfort person. He is who i lean on if i' in need of a smile. This was evidently true for the boys of the band as well. Louis brought out the playfulness in the guys. he brought life into the songs. His light never stopped shining no matter what happened and the least we could do is be grateful to him for that. I've never met him irl but even through a screen, even on a printed out picture his smile exerts just the brightest rays of sunshine i'd ever seen from anyone. No matter how much support he has right now he is still vastly underappreciated. The people who say he was worthless and didn't belong there just don't know what he really is. They see what is on the surface. Beneath is someone who has been broken. Beneath is someone who has been hated. But beneath is also someone who has stayed strong through all of it. Not only Louis' voice is very unique and is the reason I became a fan in the first place, he has many overlooked roles in the band. For starters, Louis was the one who lifted the band spirit in their harshest times. People rarely stop to wonder exactly when Lilo waterfights began to take place; After Zayn left the band. Zayn was Louis' best friend, he was probably most hurt by him leaving so abruptly, yet in complete Louis-style, he was the one who lifted the spirits of the band members. The undeniable support. For every single member. Remember Zayn's high notes? Remember how, every single time, Louis would appreciate is visibly? Or Harry. Remember 'painted nails make Harry beautiful'? He was the one who encouraged Harry to paint his nails, or weara dress, far back in 2011. The effortless leadership. Louis was, perhaps, the most overlooked member in the band. But he was still the leader. Not my words, these are the words of his own bandmates. One Direction never had an official leader, but Louis was that. His protectiveness. His sense of humour. His boldness. His kindness. All of those are what make Louis an important member in One Direction, without question or doubt. Hell, I even believe that without Louis, One Direction wouldn't have made it as far as they did. One Direction was consisted of five members who worked in a perfect balance that took One Direction so far. It's ridiculous to think one member was less important than the others.

Louis did so much for the band and without him i probably wouldn't be the person i am now. I first discovered One Direction from Harry but then when I started watching all the videos the one that stuck out most to me was Louis! I thought "hey! He's really cool i like him!" Then I heard him sing and all i thought "Holy crap this person literally sings like an angel" From the start Louis was the one i automatically loved i knew he was the one who was going to be able to give me light when I was in the dark and you know what? He did he gave me such a bright light to guide me. When I first saw him i just completely fell for this blue eyed silly kind boy from Doncaster called Louis Tomlinson. I've always had a soft spot for Louis and he has a very very special place in my heart and i think i always will that's something that will never go away. Don't get me wrong i adore the other boys and i love them just as much as Louis but Louis will always be my favorite member. He really kept the band together and without him they really wouldn't be the same. They would be good but nowhere near as good with Louis.💙

It’s so weird to watch this without Louis. Like there’s an itching feeling that something is missing and u’re waiting for something to happen but it never comes. And in the songs it’s like there’s a void. I’m missing his unique, leading and sometimes slightly raspy but so clear voice. Not to mention that a lot of songs wouldn’t exist the way we know them.

His voice carries everyone else's whenever they sing acapella, his voice is just so angelic and it wasn't until his own tour and album where he started to realise this ❤️ he gives the life to everything and everyone and I think without him, a lot of people wouldn't be a fan of 1D, i definitely wouldn't be because he's just so amazing and I adore him so much 🥰

it's so incredibly upsetting to me when people say things like "oh, one direction would have been better without louis" or "louis isn't even talented" or any manner of shit like that. yes, each one of the boys is talented in their own right, that's a fact, but louis has this undeniable air of life that surrounds him that he just breathes into everyone else around him. he never takes any situation too, too seriously and he always takes time to be kind to others, even when nobody else does. his songwriting is absolutely fucking genius, his wit is hilarious, and his personality leaves a gaping, obvious hole whenever it's missing. i feel like within the band, he took on almost an older brother role (the six younger siblings might have something to do with that lol) and the other three really, really looked up to him. it was (and still is, of course) so obvious how much he cared for all of them, and i think if louis hadn't been that connecting, bonding presence within one direction, they would not have had NEAR as much success as they did. honestly, you can say a lot of the same things about his solo career now. there's people who call him the "flop" of one direction as if he isn't selling out all of his world tour venues as we speak. the AFHF is its own feat in itself! louis paid for that entire festival completely out of his own pocket, didn't charge a dime for tickets, AND provided a live stream for people to watch from anywhere in the world. all because he wanted to make live music accessible to as many people as possible. the numerous charities he's worked with and donated to have nothing but incredible things to say about him, and i honestly wouldn't have expected anything less. he's just such a genuinely *good* person that my heart just aches for him. he thanks all of us at every opportunity he has and stays constantly humble despite everything. to be completely honest, he's the most amazing role model i could ever ask for, staying strong through the entire rash of shit that the universe has thrown at him through the years. louis, you are more strong, more kind, more talented, more caring, more genuine, and just more flat out fucking lovely than i could ever hope to be. please never, never, never change. we all love you

I discovered 1D very late, maybe three years ago (what a shame but my parents always used to play me French music when I was a kid), when I watched one of the videos diary from 2010 that was recommended for me by RU-vid. I almost instantly felt in love with those boys and the energy of the band, the happiness that they bought to everyone, that they carried with them. But I have to admit if Louis hadn’t been there, I would certainly not have showed as much interest as I did for the band. No one can say he is not an important part (if not the most important one) of the soul of the band. He was the one for whom I was watching those videos at the beginning, he was the one that made me laugh, that brought me joy, that made me want to improve my English. To be honest I’m not sure I would be able to write this paragraph if I hadn’t discovered and wasn’t a 1D fan thanks to Louis. Watching these videos without Louis’ usual jokes, noises, accent… actually made me feel very weird, the band is just not the same without him. He is so important and I don’t think he really realises it. So ppl just need to stop saying some shitty things about him and start realise that he is an absolute angel that carried the band; even I who wasn’t a fan at the time can see it in all the videos. Going to his concert in Paris was just the best day of my life, he is such a powerful king and we should love him for what he did and is still doing

Firstly, the video diaries would have been so boring if Louis wasn't in them, he made them so much more entertaining, anyone who disagrees must have a shitty sense of humour. His voice is actually so sweet and unique and beautiful, and it's only improved over the years. He CAN sing, and he's bloody good at it. He's so talented with not only singing, but also song writing. His lyrics are so good and he wrote literally the best 1D songs. The boys all speak very highly of him, and I know they would not appreciate seeing anyone hating on him. I honestly don't understand how anyone could hate him. If you hate Louis, then you don't even deserve to call yourself a fan. He's been through so much shit but he's so strong and I admire him so much for it.
