The reason why it's so accurate: astrology is based on sun, moon and other planets, where they were positioned In your birth time. Basically our environment makes us who we are. You should look up your moon and rising sign, go to a birth chart site and put there your exact birth time, birth day and place you were born. It could make a lot more sense then. Moon sign is your emotional self, what others can't see, your thoughts and how you react emotionally. Rising sign Is what others see, what impression you give to others of yourself. Your sun sign, the sign everyone knows is what you want and try to be.

Stephanie read about ‘Subjective validation’, you will understand why you agree with some of the statements in that book. This also explain why people believe in astrology, tarot, psychic predictions etc. Look up ‘Self-fulfilling prophecies’ and you will know why predictions come true, it’s because of our behaviours that bring it alive.

Both are by the same authors and both authors were therapist and psychologist for years before they decided to branch out into zodiac signs. I'm a Sagittarius as well, though when I took astronomy classes in college my professor had mentioned that there's actually 13 signs and that all the dates are incorrect because of the hidden 13th sign. Ophiuchus is that sign and if I were to go by the 13, I would actually be an Ophiuchus, because my birthday is December 5th. Which when I read up on it, it makes way more sense, while the traits and studies for Sagittarius are probably 50% right for myself, I've never felt that it represented me fully. I don't base anyone's personalities on star signs because every person is an individual and I think life's circumstances and situations make the person, but I want to believe that star signs might have a deeper rooted effect on us as individuals. Also, it weirds me out that your birthday is the 27th, my ex boyfriends was that day, but you seem like a great person and even more reason I can say that the star signs don't mean much because individuals are individual. Definitely a way better person.

I think the two of you would be even more freaked out if you have your birth charts read since that would include your rising, descendant, midheaven, moon, mercury, mars, venus and etc. placements along with your sun sign/ birth star sign. That would feel more personal and accurate. As someone who studies astrology as a hobby, those interpretations of the signs are mostly based on stelliums (or if there are 3 or more planets in the same sign). So if your signs per planets varies then just one sign wouldn't resonate totally with you.

LOL think its fun to read astrology books and think how " accurate" they are but at the same time I don't believe in them too much. I feel like most of it is always giving positive feedback so that why it can be at least 80% "accurate". People want to see the good in themselves and stuff like this almost acts as reinforcement. Even when these stuff discuss the "problem" a person might have it always ends with a good note. The other reason why i don't really believe in it is because i did something like this before to my classmates. I bought this colorful beaded bracelet on one of my trips because it looked pretty. Out of boredom I looked up "meaning" of all the colors then I wrote it down on a small sheet of paper. Later I asked my classmates to pick 3 random numbers out of the amount of beads. I started at the seam where the strings are tied and counted the numbers back and forth and whatever color bead it landed on, I would read the color meaning and said that is who "they are". I did this with several different people and they all said "omg that is so me! or that is so accurate". In reality, all the colors has "positive" meanings and people like to hear and find those positive attributes about themselves. Though what I did was basically random bullsh*t. Nonetheless it is a fun thing to do.

I think it's really funny how both the elements fire / water and animal symbols represent so many deeper personality traits and relationship chemistry on an oddly truthful level. I was an Aries Ram fire sign in a relationship with a Scorpio and it was literally as absurdly interesting as a Scorpion hanging out with a Ram but we were actually very successfully compatible with all the diversity. Those pinchy claws are so symbolic of both the funny playful chemistry and the blunt truthful harshness Scorpios can offer.
