Back when Ant broke up with Nicolini, as soon as Patrice found out about it he went and drove into the city to hang out with Ant at a bar all night and talk. They were absolutely friends. Trying to bring this 2022 “racism” moralization and shoehorn it into two people’s friendship from 11 years ago is ridiculous.

I think the commentator made a mistake and put anthony instead of opie. Obviosuly Patrice and Anthony were friends. If anything he probably felt bad for opie. And I can tell by how little patrice bashed opie on the show. He knew opie wasnt cut from the cloth of being made fun of and being able to attack back.

Patrice actually went to one of Anthony's bar b ques and they became far closer as friends. Patrice NEVER went to Opie's place or even hung out with him really. Opie was always jealous of Anthony's ability to keep pace with the greatest comics on Earth, while he played candy crush. Kinda hard to pull the wool over the eyes of actual fans when everything is on the air. Duh.

Anthony generates a few thousand views and clicks for Opie radio… A few thousand compound media fans enjoy Anthony’s comments about Opies career … However Opie and Anthony combined still generates hundreds of thousands of views. Point is that you ought to bury the ax with Anthony and make a documentary at least. You don’t have to be together for it to be produced but maybe a series of 10 shows can be done after with old friends and guest about the reaction from the production. Get canceled today when it matters Opie!!!!!

I’m a guy from Romania who has been listening to Opie and Anthony through youtube live streams of archives as well as long cut segments for the last 5 years. I think it is the best radio show or podcast I have ever heard. And Even though Anthony has more comedic talent (which is something you just have, you can’t work for) I think Opie had an integral role in the product, it’s delivery, structure, rhythm and humor. I sincerely think that if you guys start doing the show again on the internet by whatever distribution means you would have one of the biggest media products on the planet. I believe it is up to you Opie as Ant is too much of a nut. But if it came from you he might just do it. I know you guys got older but I am sure that the essence is still there. Really appreciate everything you guys did. And if I got into it halfway acros the world I’m sure alot of people would too.

I could feel the disgust that Patrice had for Cumia when he was telling Patrice the story about getting stopped by the cops for driving drunk, open container of alcohol and an unregistered firearm in his car. The cop drove Cumia to the station and let him sit in the front seat. Cumia paid an outstanding parking ticket and the cops let him go.

Discussions between Dipaolo and Patrice are the best radio hours in history.

Respect to Opie for telling the truth here when he easily could’ve lied to bash Anthony. The truth is a powerful thing as Patrice would have said. Some of my favorite moments on O & A was Patrice and Ant going back and forth. arguably no two people in history were quicker and funnier in their banter together. Great memories. That was the best radio of my life listening to Patrice, Ant, Norton, Vos, Bob Kelly, Colin Quinn, Burr, Louis, etc all ragging on each other and discussing hilarious moronic topics. And whether people want to give credit or not Opie’s presence was part of the glue that held it together. Opie and Anthony obviously both have their personality and ego/pride issues with each other but I think at the end of the day both are good guys. I wish they’d find a way to hash things out at least well enough to do some radio/podcast together again even if just for a few episodes. Not for the money or even because they “like” each other just because they were the best and could easily do a better show than anyone out there today. Neither one is the same without the other and the world of comedy has been without it’s greatest outlet for over a decade. They must have people in their lives that don’t want that to happen otherwise I don’t get it. The audience hasn’t gone anywhere just gotten a little older. It’s been too god damn long. In this horseshit covid infested, senior citizen for a US president, woke timeframe we live in it would be just what the doctor ordered if two guys could put all the bullshit aside and show they’re still the best at shooting the shit, interviewing funny people, and not complying to whatever the mainstream culture of the day is. I can’t understand the anger/annoyance they have at each other all these years later that they can’t even do some shows/conversations together. Ant’s show sucks, Opie’s thing sucks, and I’m sick of listening to Rogan and Burr. Those guys are great, but it’s never the same laughs as it was with O and A. Nothing has come close since (Except maybe Norm Macdonald Live…but Norm’s dead now too). Oh well…maybe someday Adam Eget can sit in between Opie and Anthony so they can do a show lol.
