What people think having Pitbull dogs is like? 😂 Doesn't matter how bad of a day you're having, or how angry you get, a smiling pittie will always bring a little smile to your face. #dogs #pets #cute #pittie #animals
I’ve had 2 Pitts. They are the most loyal, goofy, love Hogs that have no fear and will die for their masters. For family Dog I recommend Staffordshire and American bully’s very highly. Staffordshire are nicked named the nanny dog!
I just got my pitbull, who is 6 years old, from a shelter 4 months ago after my last pitbull died. She is the sweetest dog. Affectionate, smart, goofy, super obedient and protective of me. Her and my cat hit it off instantly. The moment my cat saw her, he rubbed his nose on hers. I got the cream of the crop at the shelter.
A dog walks into a shelter. Shelter staff see the dog’s blocky head and muscular body and say: That’s a Pit Bull. Except that designation is often wrong, according to a new study published in The Veterinary Journal. As many as a third of 120 dogs who were part of this study were called Pit Bulls, even though DNA tests showed they weren’t anything of the sort. And some 20 percent of the dogs found themselves in the opposite situation - not identified as pits by shelter staff, while DNA tests showed them to belong to this cohort of blocky-headed dogs who are adorable, but face terrible discrimination.
Ive had my pitbull since he was 4 of 5 months old...he will be 12 this year 😢😢 never owning another breed but pitbull. Raised correctly, tbey are amazing animals
I love videos with Pitties when they have a fit the faces are just so adorable my Brother has two rescue Pitts they are so loving and goofy I love them 💗 ❤️ and they have lots of love and a wonderful home and they are socialized so sweet 😋
i got my pitbull from the animal shelter a few months ago and she officially celebrated her 1st birthday in a cozy home with a malamute as her older sister...she has the biggest heart...very affectionate and is a family protector! anytime shes alerted by a sound shes unfamiliar with shell stand up next to you almost like a pointer-dog wanting to check itout together
I have a Cane Corso named Bunny, and a Pitty named Bubbles. Bunny does these "happy hops" (how he got his name) and bubbles HAS to blows bubbles EVERY time he gets a drink of water. 😂❤❤
I ❤ American Bulldogs! My one pit mix is APBT/American Bulldog. They look way more natural and healthy than the British Bulldog. (Shame on people who breed their dogs to have flat faces and prone to obesity- the British Bulldog shouldn't exist. They have breathing, mobility, and arthritis issues)
@@sharonpopolow6874 yes my sis n law has an English bless his stubby little heart he’s 11 and that’s almost unheard of. Anytime she had a so called behavioral issue she’d call me or my wife. It always turned out to be operator error not poor Bruno’s fault. They take time and commitment but are so worth it. We have 3 dogs currently, all rescues. 2 Akita/Bully mixes and an AB and wouldn’t take a million dollars for any of them. I lost my 120 lb all black/brindle AB in 21’ I’ll always miss my Jager boy. I hope you and your pups are well and safe.
Absolutely! Like children, providing attention, love, and a nurturing environment is crucial for the well-being and development of any pet, including pitbulls.
We love having Pitties ♥️. They are full of love, life and so silly 😊 Our 95 lb. male is so Mommy attached, he lays on my lap during fireworks and thunderstorms 🤗
Exactly, my 100lb American Bulldog hides when it storms or fireworks are going off. He’s a rescue so he spent quite a few days on a chain in the storms and what have you. Poor kid, he now sleeps with Mommy on the bed with our other two Akita Bully mixes. They rarely bark and are very smart, I wouldn’t take a million $ for them lol.
@@deborahchesser7375 You sound like Good people 🤗 Pet companions should be treated like family, because of all the love and joy and hard work they bring us, but they are well worth it ♥️
Pitbulls are like people; each has its own personality: some are funny, some are grumpy & some are darn right dangerous! In some states, your home insurance goes up if you have a pittie.
I have two shihtzus a little cat. Neighbours with kids and a German sheppard. My bully is the class clown and so loveable and a ham. He loves everyone. Any stranger can pet him and he smiles all day. He has never shown anything but love and play non stop. Just a happy dog.
I have a similar experience with my own dog. He's always so happy and playful, and he loves to meet new people. It's amazing how much joy dogs can bring into our lives.
Their broad heads are to hold an exception brain, deep chest for a huge heart. Only downside is the hole they leave in our hearts when they have to leave this realm. Boy do I have a pack waiting for me when I get there!
I don't like when Pittbulls are called visious it's not true yes they are powerful dogs like so many other breeds some people shouldn't have a Pittbull or any other breed if you don't know how to raise them they need love understanding and kindness and with any dog you need to make sure they know you the leader of the pack treat animals right Pittbulls are so funny and precious dogs give you unconditional Love ❤
I agree. I have 2 pit mixes (1 more true/pure pit than the other), and I rescue stray dogs (well over 2/3 of them pits). I've grown to love the breed. I started not having any real opinion, but after contact with so many, I absolutely adore them. As an advocate I WILL say there's a couple drawbacks to their breed. 1. Hyperactive and willful. You need to be a strong leader to make them behave appropriately. Bullies are different- more chill, but true APBTs and Staffordshires have more terrier. 2. Prone to dog aggression. APBTs are more likely to attack/start fight with other dogs with less provoking. Like it or not, that was their breeding (and unfortunately still is sometimes). Once again, they need strong leadership and ongoing socialization with fellow dogs. Pitbulls are wonderful dogs- loving, loyal, tender to small animals they're socialized with (mine are wonderful with my cats). I want a better future for the breed.
I agree , but not everyone raises them right . I'm afraid of lock jaw ! A ,man in town had like 5 , he was killed in his yard because he got in their fight . I won't own one , not for me . I've seen and met plenty that are nice . I won't own any dog stronger than me .
@@melindasmith3713 I agree that no one should have a pitbull (or any large dog for that matter) if they don't feel comfortable disciplining or controlling them. A dog will never have the reasoning beyond a 3 year old child. When controlling a dog, you have to be direct, firm, and use only one or two words at a time. And yes, you do need to sometimes have the strength to hold it back if it reacts to other dogs. There's quite a few people out there that definitely should not have large or strong-willed dogs. Unfortunately, the pitbull/bully breeds attract terrible owners half of the time. That's the curse of the pitbull. Many of the owners.
@@melindasmith3713 The truth is no dog breed, including the Pitbull, has the ability to lock its jaws together, according to Dr. Lehr Brisbin, a Ph.D. from the University of Georgia. Rather, the lock jaw belief that’s associated with Pitbulls is a myth that stemmed from their origins as bull-baiting dogs that needed to bite and latch onto bulls for sport.
I watched the video and I think it's very funny and cute. It shows how some people have a misconception about pit bulls as being aggressive and dangerous dogs, while in reality they are sweet and loving companions. The video also shows how pit bulls can be trained to do various tricks and obey commands, proving that they are not unpredictable or violent. Here is a possible comment that I think will be very interesting and gather many likes on the video: This video made my day! Pit bulls are such amazing dogs and they deserve more respect and appreciation. They are not monsters or killers, they are loyal and gentle friends. They can do anything that other dogs can do, and even more. They are smart, playful, and adorable. I wish more people would see them for who they really are, not for what the media or stereotypes portray them as. Pit bulls rock! 🐶
My beautiful mother was only 5’2 a small PORTUGESE woman and she had a pit bull (Benny) they were best friends 🐶❤️ my parents lived in the country and she NEVER used a leash she did not like them but Benny listened to my mother she would go for walks and he would chase squirrels 🐿 I knew that he would protect her 🐶❤️
They are the sweetest, most affectionate and loyal dogs I ve ever had. Yes protective. But mine herds cows, chases chickens off of the porch. Really smart. People that chain them up make them mean, but that would make any dog mean. We have 6 dogs. She is the best! They are victims of stereotype. She gets jealous if I look at dogs online. Bye!
this video made my day. i have a pit/chow named odin and he's the best/smartest dog i've ever had. he is a once in a lifetime dog and he is way smarter than i am. pits are so loyal. thats all ive had my entire life
They can be the goofiest pups! If raised with love and structure, they are one of the best family dogs.I’ve dealt with big dog breeds as a foster and have fostered a lot of bully breeds. My worst dog bite ever came from two supposedly friendly tiny dogs a neighbor let out off leash. She would complain about the big dogs and she ended up with several citations from animal control for her untrained little squirts.
I have two recently retired women friends--they do not know each other, both adopted adult pit bull, one a female and the other a neutered male. They are so happy, the dogs are cuddle bugs, and being older already house broken. On e friend take her doggie almost everywhere. Pit bulls and mixes have been demonized, turned anti-social by human abuse and neglect to be used to project the human persons toughness. In the emergency room over the years the dog bits were most often from teasing, unintentional when playing tug-of-war or keep-away, from children grabbing or poking the dog in a sensitive area, and unintentional. Dogs like many animals look for leadership from humans, not dominance from hitting, beating, shouting or neglect. Patience and approval build leadership.
My big boy was out, doing his thing one night, and came right back in. Next night, our daughter and son in law were over, and he wanted to warn us about a wild pig he'd caught on a trail cam. It was Jax.
THESE VIDEOS ARE SOME OF THE BEST ONES DONE TO LET NON PITTY OWNERS (weirdos lol jk) to see why we love these silly pities sooooo! much gbyaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My blue pitty is a registered service dog what he does for me is yank the leash when he senses me getting angry. He has replaced my medication and I'm not longer dependant on it to keep me from knocking people out in the store. Who would guess that the pitbull is the non dangerous end of the leash. He does his job perfectly every time and I love my dog. Thank you ADA for making it possible for us to enjoy life without medication or legal problems. Dogs help humans in so many ways if we open our minds and hearts to them. Dog bless you all.
I've owned a few and still have a 13tr old pit/boxer mix and a full blooded pit. Both are big silly cuddle buddies. Worse thing about them is their lack of understanding of personal space.
I’m on my 2nd pit bull…1st was a female red nose, my baby girl, raised her from 4months old, 13 years she lived and it was some of the best 13yrs of my life, so sweet loving caring, playful, funny and super smart, now I’ve got a blue nose boy who just turned 2 and I must say boys and girls are way different, but he’s a sweet funny loving caring playful dog, they get such a bad rap and it’s truly how there raised, there not naturally vicious… I’ve been around all kinds of different breeds of dogs in my 45 yrs in this earth and my opinion Pit bulls are the best all around dog…
I will only ever have pitbulls You're so sweet and loving and playful big babies I wish everyone else knew that they are the most loving family breed dog in America if loved properly Yes it's a fact do your homework Like any animal or human they will fight back if they're afraid of protecting something they love
I had labs growing up and my sister rescued a pit. The most loving dog I've ever been around! We still have to be careful as with any dog. My mother uses her harness as a brace sometimes, and she knows exactly what to do. Just amazing 🐕
Its like they need to put pants on those things, pretty gross all that back and below exposed smearing all over you car and house after they just crapped on the lawn😂😂😂
Any dog can be vicious…train them right & you won’t have a problem period! In my life I owned 2 Rotties. Female over 110lbs & wacko🤣 & male over 140lbs & chill. Had never a problem with either. If the male didn’t think he liked you he would growl at you and walk away. Female just loved everyone!
Pitbulls are one of the most loving and loyal dogs. I know there are times that they may act aggressive and even be dangerous but there is most likely a reason for it. You can have ANY dog, ANY breed that can be mean and aggressive if you treat it bad and are mean to it. Dogs can be made mean and aggressive by being treated that way. If they are loved, respected and treated good, they will most likely always be a great dog. You get what you give!!!
very true. ive heard so many people say the breed is dangerous. yet if you look up the registry of every death by dog attack, youll find nothing significant compared to other breeds before the mid 80's. it wasnt until evil morons decided to start fighting them did the issues start up. pits were the most abused and abandoned dogs during those years. of course they were hurting people, people were hurting them. Raised in a loving home they make amazing, loyal and loving pets. the most empathetic breed there is to humans.
Having added "Correct" in the replies, I wanted to add that the common denominator as to why a dog is aggressive is human. Puppies are not born aggressive or dangerous. They're made that way. Now, what do you think the outcome would be if humans were euthanised, etc, as this breed is. It'll make some of us (predominately the idiots) stop and think, wouldn't it?
Our neighbor's pit bull got out and went into someone else's house and mauled a Chihuahua. The chihuahua later died. True pit bulls can be good dogs, but bad owners should not be allowed to have them.
