I hate/love making music I love having my creativity expressed but hate the fact after im done making the Song ive already listened to it like 200 times
Yo the trick is to have breaks when your making a beat, do your drums, then go have a snack or something, come back do your melody, then play a game on your phone, come back n do your bass etc..
Then you also don't feel like doing branding/marketing for that song cuz you heard that so many times you feel like it's just a normal ass song nothing special but when we first created it we thought that's gonna take us out of the hood you feel me?
@@MiketheNerdRangerthats why you live-track place holder samples. Then, after it's all laid down, spend some time scrolling through your library to find those final sounds for the recording.
Listening to the same 3 second sample over and over again trying to figure out where to put it until you decide that you don’t like the sample anymore because you’ve listened to it too many times 😂
I would add repeatedly hitting the space bar to play the loop and then hitting space to stop for at least 30 seconds especially when adding more layers to your melody
When you feel your idea is getting stale, look for other samples and make a new beat and come back to it later or revisit sum old and add the final touches
@@donuts-k15rhDelete 90% of your drumkits, this is an issue of having too many sounds to select from… You don’t need them. You will build a better and more consistent sound learning to reuse and modify the same drum sounds to fit the vibe you want instead of trying to find the “perfect” one. Even better, just learn to synthesize your own fucking drums. It’s incredibly easy.
U forgot to replay the beat ever time clicked ugh the only thing I hate about making my music is the hearing it over and over lol and if ur married or in long term relationship, and u get really excited and ur like yo check this out…meanwhile she’s been listening for last 10 hrs lol 😂
Truth...and going thru all the snares and drummer pieces to build the right set. Then dialing in eq so you've listened to the song you built a thousand times by the end lol. I feel ya man
I'm sick of every song I make by the ene of it, have listened to every atomized piece hundreds of times l0l only certain pieces I'll be wanting to listen to after mastering
Not me man... i listen to my own shit over and over. My problem is what artist is going to make it a banger cause i hate mediocre shit on my masterpiece
And this is why I just got called a fake artist/musician...cuz people that don't know think we just click...a lot of us are multi talented musicians...
It’s actually a mixture of both but yes more clicking for sure. For us musical producers there’s also plenty jamming on instruments, epic 20 minute solos & dancing around the room until the computer screen lock comes on lol
The program looks like FL Studio... That's the beat making software that I use. I don't like using other programs... This one is easy to use, and everything seems pretty straightforward when you're using it. I've tried some other programs, but I ALWAYS come back to FL Studio
It’s not even like that it’s more of clicking and moving notes and playing it over and over again on the piano roll until the melody / beat is stuck in your head for the rest of the day/night.. I’ve woken up multiple times to it playing in my head and I couldn’t stop it and I would hum it/make melody and drum noises too 😂🤣😭😅
I hate/love the fact I’m making music as well but every time I get into the studio it’s like I forget everything I’ve learned how to make beat all over again 😅
Bro I can’t deny-that, that the fact I have been working on one for a long time but haven’t completed it yet, am still learning but that not what I expected
This is why I’m glad I got into electronic music from the start rather than just instrumentals. Producing + DJing means I get to test my music out in real-time. Yeah the music making process is the same, but if I feel I made something great, I’m usually so proud of it and get to see how others react when it hits the dance floor. It’s such an awesome feeling, it feels like it all paid off for that moment alone
i love making music, in the free time i always make beats, but some people think that it’s easy, but in reality, it’s so difficult finding samples and putting them together, and after i finish, i always listen to it
Every time I make a beat, I always play it out to listen for missing keys that I wanna add in or what I want to change, then after I’m done I enjoy myself by playing my own beat from beginning to the end and it’s such a nice feeling
As a music producer, it feels intimidating when composing a song without sounding like a dork, but when I'm mixing and master I feel like a complete badass😂
I do mine on a keyboard on a loop, add and take things off and if I get the urge to dance I keep it, that method he’s doing must stifle your creativity, it’s better to do it live
the industry is packed with producers, aside from the amateurs who dare charge money for the most generic beat, I say quit while you're ahead.. it's fun but it will never pay off
That goes with anything worth doing , how the fuck do you think people get to the holly wood hills and drive lambos it’s called you only live once welcome to the lions den
@@peterstainer731 yeah fr what kind fucked up advice is that l, there's plenty of everything in the world, but you can make your work unique, music is always progressing
