To my understanding, outbreaks of SARS began in China in the early 2000s. To my understanding, the people and government of China were so successful in quarantining SARS that it took a decade for the virus to transform into COVID before it turned into a global pandemic. These same mask protocols, in conjunction with increased hygiene, were successfully used in Western countries to slow the spread of this flu in the absence of vaccines which ended up causing side-effects and medical complications. For this reason, I find it disgraceful how many people are willing to believe that China acted malignantly or negligently as regards this deadly flu strain. In reality, the Chinese government and people seemed to have done all a country could possibly do to protect itself and support other nations in the fight against this pandemic. This includes the manufacture of low cost computers which were distributed to American school children during the pandemic which were already being provided to impoverished areas of Africa with the help of American charitable organizations.
