I use the most fair approach. No prepayments. You get a free trial class which is a real class with my students. If you like it, you enroll. But still no payments in advance. You will pay only after you start the course and you can do it during the first week of a month. Not in advance. Also we have monthly payments. So you don't pay for the whole course. I will be proving that it's the top quality education class by class. 99% of students finish all 9 months of the course. I've been doing it like that for 8 years in a row. Get the Free Trial class - it's a fair approach! or add me in Skype for quick response by adding me in skype by my name: andrewzeleno Read comments -> Some of my current and former students put reviews there (Garfield Oliveira, Gord Maidment, Andre Bradley, Andrew World, Sylzy Sylzerz, Alvaro F, Alrksandr Minyaylo, Лена Сербская). I spent 20 years as an Engineer/Producer. This is a. Great video. Don’t buy one more plug in until you take a course. This gentlemen is telling the truth. Take his course. A great engineer can do a lot with very little. But a poor engineer can have a full tool box and do very little. Take his course. Invest in yourself.
Until you master a single plugin, don't invest in 20 other plugins of the same type thinking the new plugin will be the "magic sauce" that will propell you to excellence because it will never happen, and you wonder why you can't get the same results as Super Producer X.
Right now i am at the first half of the course and it has already improved my mixing skills dramatically, Andrew teaches you how to think as a real audio engineer, to make your own decisions not based in other people´s presets or thoughts, he teaches you all the nuances, things i never realized before, and his program includes stuff you dont find in any other course, like very deep integration with SSL gear and plugins. The program its very complete, i have friends who are attending courses at university, 20 times more expensive and still they tell me they dont learn as much as Andrew teaches you. Also you have homeworks and you can make questions in real time, Its the best course i have ever made.
I'm signing up for the class... not because I think your super knowledgeable ... I know you are ... but because your Russian.... its always been a dream of mine to have been taught by a Russian professor. Note: im some black dude in America lol, this a once in lifetime type of opportunity

Hi! My Vocal Mixing Video reveals Hidden Ideas of Chris Lord-Alge's Plugin. Those Mixing Concepts are not explained neither by Chris Lord-Alge nor by Waves. Input changes EQ, Harmonics change, real EQ curves and their flaws, Hidden Compressor settings. I appreciate if you will comment under the video on the video's subject. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WjDVg4BBq40.html
Part2 of Vocal Mixing Video. Reverb, Delay and Harmonizer secrets which Waves and CLA hid inside of their plugin. I show even settings of Chris Lord-Alge Reverb with Lexicon plugins. CLA says Slap Delay is John Lennon's 166ms Delay. No it's NOT! :) Many unknown things about his effects. A lot of thing to learn from this video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aHs0XVZK3-Y.html
I have a tip. With whatever you have begin mixing over and over. As time goes by with your expierence Youll learn what you need and want. Then start getting what you need.
I like your style very much, I really feel like I can trust your opinions and teaching rather than listening to some marketing BS. I’m surprised you have only under 40k subscribers, you just got one more. Thanks.

In reality, no plugin can create an expensive mix and master; only skill can get you there. Any plugin is just a tool or paintbrush in the hand of a great artist. However, some plugins sound fantastic to the ears (good program coding), whether they are criticized or praised by the majority-in fact, a 30-year-old plugin can sound fantastic in the hands of an artist. When combined with softube CLIB, BPB Dirty LA sounds incredible. BPB DIRTY LA is my first comp... I've used it in both live and acoustic performances. We can't deny that we can make beautiful music with them. But it was us who failed to achieve what we desired in our mixes, not a plugin. I am a 40-year-old mastering engineer, and I never underestimate a plugin by its usage. A plugin's contribution to music is based on correct math, ears, and science. The wrong use of it will destroy your mix.
Just found your channel Andrew, and am really glad I did: You have a very good balance of teaching ability, technical knowledge, bold opinion, and passion for excellence.
Finally someone gets to the real object of having a lot of plug ins. These is how to perceived and discard sound processors, how to classified according their effect on audio signal.
Thank you for this video, it's a very useful information. I am a student of Andrey's mixing course. This course helps to understand the whole audio process. It is very well composed course, greatly enhances the mixing skills.
Hi Sir, once again thank you for the pearls you share with us, it`s very sad that some think this is a advertising gimmick, but being a current student in the 4th month of this course, I`m really honored to have you as my instructor. I can speak a volume here, but that would still not be enough, for the wisdom that you share regarding this craft, sound engineering has never been the same after joining you, I`ve sailed the internet for advice n stuff for over a decade now, but today its been months now iv`e never watched a RU-vid video again on the topic. You are an unbelievable , skilled and patient teacher, you`ve made me realise the bullshit iv`e been programming my mind with, every second that i spend with you on the course makes waking up at 5 am worth it, your extra ordinary skills and insights have taken my learning to a different level, a big thank you to you, as i accidentally stumbled on your channel, cleared my doubts after taking the first initial free class on this course, I had to even wait for months before you could give me a slot, but there`s no turning back now, I really marvel at your patience when you teach us, you never care about the time of the classes, a 1 hour class for 2 and a half hours sometimes, lol!!!!! sometimes even i get restless but you make sure you finished what you started, I`m really blown away by the way you have put all this together, everything you say herein is the truth, can`t wait to finish this course as a proud student and apply all this knowledge. thanks and cheers Sir Andrew
Yes miss every second of it is worth your time, as for me I don`t think I`ll find a better Mentor, give it a shot if this is what you intend to persue, it was my dream to be a sound engineer one day spent thousands of dollars taking in the wrong info n advice, this will be the best money you have invested in your life. cheers

Have you ever felt like you bought a lot of useless plugins? Comment please. In this way you support the channel. The whole income from this channel I donate to help cats and dogs.
Tons! Waves Horizon + some singles from Waves, whatever comes with NI Complete, plus Cubase own, plus UAD Apollo plug-ins... I use vocal rider and some presets from reverbs and delays... Never had time to concentrate on learning how to use any of them specifically :(
It’s not that they were useless, but redundant. There is a lot of overlap in applications. Too many choices can impede work flow or be distracting. Focus should be the music, not the Plugins!
Very true. However I can use all benefits of all my plugins in different situations where they are more suitable than other options because I can keep in mind 300 plugins with all their nuances. Of course it's possible only because I've never worked a day in any other occupation other than an audio engineer. So I just think about 300 plugins all day long every day every year :)
Indeed, knowing how to use a plugin, the differences even of very similar plugins and how they apply to perceived objectives, is more valuable than quantity of plugins. That said, I suffer Plugin acquisition syndrome. As you stated, the same Plugin used in two different songs will give different results depending on source material. Plugins are tools, much like a brush painting a canvas.
Coming from someone in his course, this guy is a fucking treasure! Go do his course if you are serious about audio engineering and cant afford the time to go to schools (cause honestly, they're probably alot of bullshit anyways lol ;))
In reviews made by prof audio engeneers they show what they are doing with these plugins, usually its a piece of audio which they are applying the plugins to. But people listen to "famous guy/girl", not to the sound they are working at
I was talking about reviews in words on websites where they sell plugins. Also, I don't see Chris Lord-Alge or Andy Wallece reviewing plugins. Not sure what famous guys you mean who review plugins in videos :) But ok. let's pretend that some "Chris Lord-Alge" reviews a plugin in a video. The point was every waveform requires its own tool. In one project on X sound it works. In the other project on Z it doesn't work. Nobody show you many situations and they don't show you where it doesn't work. Also whet you hear on youtube is not compared to anything like perfect reference. SO what they show you can be totally awful sound. But as you said even this sound nobody listens to.
Andrew, can you recommend your favourite dark sounding equalizers and compressors to smoothen the sharp peaky vst instruments (upper midrange and higher frequencies)?
I'm so happy this is helping the cats and dogs. Also Scheeps parallel is one of those rare plugins that really works on everything. You find a video where He shows you the same plugin on every track
Thanks Justin. Important video on SSL Filters PROBLEM !!! It will change how you understand frequencies of the low end. I Measure 20 SSL plugins and show this bug. Also 4 important conclusions. The link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-S57GhQVezAk.html

Andrew Zeleno yea I saw video from China where a guy boiled a dog Alive. Very very horrible sound the dog make. I have to try really hard not to hate Chinese people because of that.
Quick question? You have a C1. Are you using Protools? How does the C1 integrate with your 3rd party plugins? Do you only use it with UA and Softube plugins and go back to the mouse for other plugins?
Such a great advice! It just remind me as well to stop buy another synthesizer before I work more and learn the one I already have! (Then I will also know what I’m really missing if anything) Haha
I've never bought a single plugin! I use stock plugins inside FL studio, LePou, Emissary, Pulse and Izotope Ozone. Always love your videos, I still have a lot to learn!
I’d like to say that I could note the difference between that mic and the U47. The original U47 used the VF 14 “M” vacuum tube. But then again I have modified 3 mics and I’m building 1 from scratch currently
Just like guitar playing - tone is in your hands. A great guitar player can play on any amp. An inexperienced guitar player thinks the amp makes you sound good. The inexperienced also think that gain is important, when in fact it's just mud after a certain point. Picking technique, feel, energy and vibrato. Those are the keys - none of them have anything to do with amp selection or gain.
Not sure if it's what I meant. I meant that plugins matter when you have high skills. So it's better to get skills instead of plugins. I wouldn't say that real guitarist doesn't need gear of preference. Any top guitarist plays specific amps becauase they know what exactly complement their "tone in their hands" .
So wonderful video and nothing new for me because I'm a current student of the course. I know all of this and much more. There are tons of useful information on this course. Thank you, Andrew.
That mic you‘re using is considered by some producers to be the worst microphone ever built. I personally don‘t think there is such thing as a bad mic. Any thoughts on that?
There are 2 sides to it. One side is, you are only as good as your tools (this can be true within certain context but not always), two side is, you can buy a race car but it doesn't make you a good driver (this is always true).
All cool but i was expecting a video about plugins, not about what you have a dont have and why you have and dont have.. Thanks also for the common sense knowledge about plugins.
Check the picture of this video. It says "ugly truth". It means the video is about some situation with plugins. Now the list of plugins. But if you want plugins talk, I think you will be amazed with my last video with thins nobody knows ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_uKeNvKe358.html
Your mic sounds too boxy btw on iphone. But it is ok. It is often more a challenge to use only cheap plugins but what is really cheap tokyo dawn records, vos, klanghelm, ott, voxengo, fabfilter and airwindows they are amazing. 😂
You are an amazing teacher. you explain things in such a way where it breaks it down to its most basic understanding. are your courses taught by you personally?
so what are these reliable plugins zeleno? I do agree with you but from experience: i have found: waves , uad, sound toys, native instr plugins to be reliable
You’ve made some very good points. At the end of the day it’s how you use them. I know that the UA plug-ins outshine the Waves, but still ... it comes down to what you do in the mix.
Nothing outshine anything. They are all bad and good. Depends on how you use them and suitability to the situation. I easaly can prove most of these plugins are not authentic emulations.
Question.. after you finished composing/arrangement/vocals and you have many virtual instruments, is it advisable to bounce those to audio before starting mixing/production. Are there any benefits from that?
If you produce professionally (like a occupation) for like 15 years like me you change your setup all the time and if you don't convert everything to audio, you will lose your projects in 2-3 years guaranteed.
@@AndrewZeleno1 Exactly. I've been using 3rd party tape stop plugin to spice up 2track instrumentals. I print them to audio to future* proof them. I'm very interested in the trail and even the class depending on price.
Hmmmmm you must be a Sound engineer to make such a bold statement. so tell me how many years experience in Sound engineering? Have you ever taken a class in Sound engineering? well take it from a student already 4th month in this course, and trust me i don`t regret a second of what advice comes out from Mr Andrew Zeleno`s mouth, its worth waking up at 5am to feast on the pearls that he gives me than spend another second on the internet learning some bullshit for over a decade now. why don`t you join in the free class? then comment. cheers
@@AndrewZeleno1 Sorry if I sounded weird or bad I didn't mean anything like that. I just mean that this was a good presentation(you answer on questions like"why is so important not just to buy plugins but understand why are you doing this" etc.) of the course and even I though wanted to join to your course although I'm not a sound engineer(I'm engineer, but in electronic and pneumatic engineering). And sorrry for my english I'm just learning it and could sound bad or unnatural as a result. That's a great video with no sarcasm!
@@garfieldoliveira1458 Sorry, I didn't mean anything bad I just wanted to praise Andrew how he's explaining why his course is the best in the video and even I wanted to take the course.
Brother I`M extremely sorry if I`ve hurt you, just that Andrew is the best thing that is as in teaching, in fact i really feel you should really consider this course, thanks cheers, peace.
А студенты на вашем курсе должны присылать проекты с домашкой в каких-то определенных daw? Сейчас кто-то в reaper, кто-то а ableton, кто-то в pro tools работает, не все же daw вам приходится устанавливать себе?
You should make a tutorial about Greg Wells Mixcentric! It is a life changer! If you have a good balance mix, Mixcentric will be the ONLY plugin you”ll ever need! Greetings!
We'll have a new video regularly from now. Probably every Tuesday 3pm Pacific Time. Next one will be October 1st, then October 15th, October 21st, October 29th, November 12th and so on. Or sometimes it will be every week.
If you make a plugin comparison, consider Overloud, Black Rooster, Dynamics by Sonnox (ex-Sony Oxford, the compressor is modelled after the 1176, I think) and the Purple Audio MC77 by Plugin-Alliance (a boutique 1176) and Elysia Mpressor also by Plugin-Alliance, Eventide Omnipressor. Overloud is getting some attention for their quality, yet they are nowhere as well known as household names. Black Rooster are still even more unknown. Sonnox Dynamics would be interesting not only for its qualities but also might proof a point you are making in this video: A new plug-in is not necessarily better than an older plug-in. The Sonnox Dynamics plug-in has not been changed since it was developed in the early 1990ies as far as I know. ... And the Elysia Mpressor and Eventide Omnipressor are both pretty unique in their functionality. I get your irritation with plug-in marketing being simplicistic. I think, that the developers know full well that its BS but they decide to use BS marketing anyway as it caters to how many buyers think.
@@AndrewZeleno1 It is understandable though that the marketing department and management decide to do whatever sells. It is not cool but more critically thinking people can try the demo and compare. Lazy people pay for the best looking GUI ;) That said, I think what makes people fall for the marketing promises is that they know that they dont understand the complex mixing process and they think they cannot learn it (which is most likely wrong in most cases), so they hope for a magic tool that is easy and somehow works -without them having to learn. That is how people think. It is not unique to music producers. And again, these companies want to sell, so they tell people what they want to hear. It is not worth getting agitated about. But is very cool that there are people like you who make people aware that there is no magic plug-in that makes them superproducers without having to put in some work. Even the new AI based plug-ins like Gullfoss, the plug-ins by Sonible or iZotopes Neutron may help a bit but certainly cant replace know how. I watched a couple of your videos today and what I got from it is that for the first time I see what actually to listen for and how one can get better with mixing, rather than endless trial and error. Thank you for that :)
