My 2 predictions are basically a pair, being flying and bug (though since flying is sometimes given away in the same way ground is as a secondary type so it may have a slight advantage) because of early gens mostly just populating them with uninteresting shit like "Pidgeon" and "Butterfly". Wasn't until later generations those two types started to hit the mental gym and come up with more than just what you'd expect. Fighting type too, 90 percent of them are just a martial artist's fursona.

I'm just enjoying re-arranging all of the video's tier lists to see how much we disagree on pokemon design. I find that I consistently like almost every single pokemon, but there are always some that other people rank really high that I'd put down on the bottom tiers myself and vice versa and my brain likes that because it kind of highlights and validates how subjective everything in art is. Using the normal tier as an example I LOVE watchog, unfezant, doduo, purrugly, and alolan rattata/raticate (just to name a few from the bottom tier) but I despise ditto, wigglytuff, sentret, and audino so they'd all be on the bottom. From the middle normal tier miltank, tauros, zangoose, azumarill, the dogs, buneary, minccino, sawsbuck, dodrio, and stufful all stand out to me as being much better than their tier for me whereas diggersby, slaking, loudred, bibarel, and lickilicky especially stand out as needing to drop straight to the bottom ranks. From the top of his ice tier I'd put snorunt, cryogonal, the ice cream cones, the refrigerator, and the alolan sandslash with that ridiculous head spike in the bottom tier and I'd swap Dewgong and Walrein, Piloswine and swinub, glalie, ice rider calyrex, Mr mime and Mr rime, the bears, kyurem, avalugg, abomasnow, and the fossils for the top. Everything in the middle ice tier would fall to the bottom. Same goes for every single one of you, I'd bet: opinions on pokemon design are incredibly subjective and it even changes over time for the same person based on what they've used, learned, and thought about different pokemon. For instance: I am completely unable to share Mr1upz's enthusiasm for crobat's design because I've read the pokedex and in the pokedex it says that golbat likes to go around at night biting people and once it bites, it does not let go until its prey is dead and totally drained of blood. Crobat evolved an extra pair of wings from its legs so that it could keep doing that, but faster and in complete silence so it can be 100% stealthy when hunting people at night. That makes its sleeker, four-winged design even cooler, but it also makes it so creepy that I can't see it as cute at all anymore. Same goes for venomoth, which I still really like, but knowing that it likes to hang around streetlights eating bugs and scattering a paralyzing breathable toxin everywhere in the cities where it hunts kills the cute factor a little. On the other hand, knowing things like how raichu glow faintly in the dark makes other pokemon seem much more cool and bumps up their rating for me a little. And having used a pokemon in the past also makes them seem cooler and/or cuter, so the longer I play pokemon the more types of pokemon I like because I don't like re-using pokemon. It's all extremely subjective, but that's what makes it so fun to debate because there are no right or wrong answers in the end, just what I personally do and don't like.
