As a police officer, Jon Carson is no stranger to tough situations or emotionally disturbing experiences. However, in 2009, he encountered
an extremely traumatic call, was diagnosed with PTSD, and spent the initial phases of his diagnosis self-medicating. It was not until 2013 when he took an opportunity
to look at things differently, using mindfulness practices to prevent trauma from taking its toll.
