Sorry, but Diana was an actress and completely false. The face she gave to the world was a façade. Balmoral doesn’t have a swimming pool and members of the Royal Family use a nearby local pool. They arrive unannounced, pay their admission and then swim with the local people. But not Diana! She would call ahead to say she was on her way and ask for the pool to be cleared of people so she had the place to herself, and on arrival she just walked in without paying. This annoyed the locals and eventually they decided they had had enough. The manager came in one day to say that Diana was on her way and asked everyone to leave, but this time they refused. The said that it was unfair they were paying to use the pool but were expected to vacate it when Diana, who never paid, wanted to use it. They also pointed out that other members of the Royal family had no problem sharing the pool with the locals. When Diana arrived the manager told her that the customers had refused to leave and she told the manager to “order them to leave” which he refused to do adding that other royals didn’t ask for the pool to be cleared. She stormed off in a huff and never returned. Apparently the “people’s Princess” didn’t actually like the people enough to mix with them.

I think the problem was that at the time what it meant was being able to check off all the boxes necessary on the list of requirements for his family's approval; no more, no less.
@@anniewinters3788 True, but had to marry a virgin in a sense that this 32 year old man was informed that that was the only kind of girl he was "allowed" to marry. We can all say that he should have stood up to everyone and said he was an adult and he was going to make this decision himself. Then again, we also have to remember that he was raised locked inside a royal bubble, and from birth had the idea pounded into his head that the only thing that mattered was doing his duty (ie. whatever he was told to do) and that personal feelings were completely irrelevant. They shouldn't raise a kid that way and then turn around and act all surprised when it turns out he's grown up with a really warped way of thinking.

Everyone has been in a relationship where we hoped that with years we could change someone we loved to be perfect... she believed in the Prince and Princess of Camelot hype... unfortunately she learned her lesson that we can't and shouldn't even try to change anyone... but she lived all this in front of the media...
This documentary seems to give both sides. What each did. What would you like?.. Diana to be painted as a complete victim who did nothing wrong in her life? I’d rather get all the information from multiple sources and then decide what I believe!!! Not some contrived story that is obviously untrue!!

I already thought Charles was horrible for what he did to Diana, but when they said he was sleeping with Camilla the night before the wedding? While Diana was stressing and contemplating on if she even WANTED to get married to him and thinking about backing out? Is just- the disrespect was on another level with this man.

I admire Diana and the courage she had she always looked like a reigning princess one that will always be remembered in my heart not once did I see her said in other words she was always smiled and still remained friends with the queen cordially but no matter who a person is divorcees don't get to see the queen but she always admired her god bless her heart

However, the one mitigating factor that cannot be overlooked is: Charles was a 33 year old man who entered into a marriage with a sheltered unworldly 19 year old girl fully expecting to in effect have his cake and eat it too. @MrAeronuk1 Then acknowledge your opinions as heavily biased in that you will excuse the flaws in one that you will not in the other. Charles also had affairs with married women and didn't seem to care about the effects of it either, not even when it came to his own wife and children. He was also manipulative and devious in that he had his set of older well established friends spread gossip about Diana's instability, lack of intelligence and so forth well before her first affair ever came about. And lastly he thought nothing about constantly throwing Diana and Camilla together in the beginning ( even at their wedding) and didn't care a jot if it hurt her or not. There is plenty of sauce here for both goose and gander, I am just able to see it without blinkers , when you can then further dialogue might mean something.
watching different documentaries about princess Diana makes you realize she had such a compassion for God's people.Diana was one of God's angels touching the lives of so many people.She is sorely missed
To be fair Charles was probably ordered to find himself a wife who could produce an heir to the throne. Camilla couldn't, though I fail to see what being a virgin, or not, at marriage has got to do with it. The trouble was that once he had done that he didn't stand by her. I agree, Diana was very used and deserved so much more. My grandmother wondered, many years ago before he treated Diana as he did, if Charles would ever become king. She was usually right. Time will tell. I don't want that Camilla woman anywhere near our UK throne!

Absolutely. I'm not someone who sees Diana as an angel but I would never try to erase Charles and Camilla's accountability for what they did to such a young and vulnerable woman. It's difficult to find a balanced and impartial view of the events.
Why is Charles damned for adultery, when Diana was an adulterer as well, even broke up a marriage? It takes TWO for a marriage to succeed or fail. And to refuse to recognize that Diana DID manipulate not just the media, but the public perception of herself as the great victim, while tearing her husband down and sowing seeds of doubt for Charles' ability to be king one day.

Every time I listened to the story of lady Diana and Charles, and Camellia, I feel sorry for Diana . The worse situation for a married woman, is when her husband doesn't find her attractive. She was not promiscuous, rather, trying to fill up the vacuum.

Sherry Duggar when she married Charles she was an innocent, Charles was still having an affair with Camilla, why would he wear cuff links with double Cs on them to his wedding. Dianna tried for a few years to get him away from Camilla but he wouldn’t budge. She started to have her affair with James after it was obvious that Charles wouldn’t give up Camilla. I don’t condone her actions but Charles does have a lot to answer for. The only affair was with James Hewitt the others came after she and Charles split.
The first head of the English church was Henry VIII and there have been multiple far more scandalous heads than Charles will ever be so I don't see how it's so surprising to people.

Ann; they stripped her of her title because she betrayed them. When Diana did the interview with Martin Bashir, that was the last straw. They couldn't tolerate her dropping any more bombs on Windsor street. Diana wanted to convince everyone that she was being mistreated. She wanted to turn everyone against the house of Windsor because she wanted to strip them of their power.

You are the one who was disgusted by the fact that her husband, Prince Charles, who she was besotted with found her attractive when they were introduced in 1977 when Diana was sixteen. It didn't matter to you that Diana wanted him to be attracted to her or by her. She was asked what her ambition was and she said to be a ballet dancer or Princess of Wales. She also dyed her hair blonde because she was told if she wanted Prince Charles to take notice of her, she would have to be blonde.

Actually you have it the wrong way round . The UK press adored Diana If anything they wrote many nice things about her , I never read or came across any nastiness in the news papers at all
