He says ( when correctly informed by the lovely economist that a certain payband in the country was not complianing) that they in fact complained by buying less fuel!😅 This mindset will NEVER understand the requirements for economic growth: to produce more, consume more, export more!!! Kenyans have been squeezing their belts ever tighter and tighter since the SAPs of the 1980s!!! Every solution is : tighten your belts, austerity, and the country grows skinier and skinier! There should be austerity for politicians and more for education, health and security! An American once asked me - 4 decades ago: why do you Africans put up with (ie, tolerate) PAIN!
