Tiger seal a few D rings to yer roof n attach yer tarp to em with shock cord, use bungee cords when you peg it to the ground, keep the tarp from tearing out at the eyelets coz of wind gusts. Post up links for the poles n tarp so we can check em out 👍
I used a simple canvas attached to roof bars on my T4 for 20 years, never failed. Needed bars for canadian canoe so they were always fitted. They were great for attaching washing line as well. Always pick with a good slope though it's amazing how much water a good tarp holds,
Thank you. I have a Skoda Yeti and made one with a groundsheet/tarp; was ok but prefer your material. So will be getting......in hope that it is the same...... I am more primitive and use cable ties to secure to the roof rail. Looks like it really is waterproof. Thank you again
Weird, I was trying to watch some of your videos, RU-vid was playing up restated my phone and this pops up. Perfect. Great awning and cheap. I'll probably do that same!
I tried a similar set up using suction cups with hooks on instead of magnets. We ended up also throwing 2 guy ropes over the top when it got too blustery.
I thought I was genius doing the exact same for my crafter..was no good the first time..but second time with guide ropes and stronger magnet works well. I got a 4m x 3m piece of tarp and with enough tension on the ropes it holds up well
Good job with the awning just being nosey have you had a new sliding door step runner section welded in, yours looks in good condition. I need to source a new one from somewhere.👍
