What's a fluid pen? How do we use it?

I love art paraphernalia. And this one is really cool in its simplicity. Especially such older technology is fun. As for this particular tool I like a bit of line variation, so I think I will resist this temptation...

Ahh I just got this set in the mail a week or so ago, haven’t tried it yet. I remember I first saw this on Kimberly Cricks channel. I liked the sketch, it’s your 1st go. I too wonder how the gouache does. I plan to try these on different papers, as it seems many media/applications have their Goldilocks substrate match. Would you feel it will wastes ink? Is this best use on larger art work? If heavy handed, will it be easy break the nib? Cn left hand person use it?

This is a bad version of a technical pen. Get yourself a technical pen. You have the wrong ink in it as well. It must be India ink.

"Be careful not to make a mess" said every parent of a young artist! I just walk into my art room and a mess happens! 😳 That's really interesting, I wonder if originally, that came about after dip pens in the old days, to make writing more convieniate than dipping.
