Never been keen on doing an atb for myself until i picked up an 80s peugeot 26er frame last month and some magic components moth bars, let the atb build begin
Is the bottom bracket an odd size? I like their 70s-80s steel road frames but have been warned that compatible parts are hard to find. I really like 26" builds. If you're not putting in big mileage all the time, 26" makes a lot of sense.
@noisepuppet so far I've changed near enough everything other than the bb and cranks and front derailleur, partly for the reason of what if its an odd size but mostly because I bought it from an older bloke who had it since new and everything was in perfect condition bb spins nic, derailleur works nice and cranks are okay, I am worried that if I eventually want to go 1x or 2x or just service it I'll have issues
4:10 I have a green Hard Rock built up almost exactly like this, down to the fat street tires (mine are 3.4" Cyclops) and the (Surly?) BMX bars. Who needs suspension in town? These tires roll over every obstacle.
@@2NDLIFEBIKES Velo tout terrain, which is French for all terrain bike. In other languages they are called that. I think Mountain Bike is used only in English because that's how it started in California.
