It is not easy find HQ videos in which people are doing "footworks", "toprocks" or "freezes" (I tried to use only HQ videos but,it is not my fault that most of videos in youtube are about power moves). I know bboying is not all about power moves and gymnastic movements. So, that was the main reason of why i made this video mostly of power moves (I tried to show footworks, toprocks and freezes too).
You don't have to have a gymnastic background for being a real bboy. Unfortunately, youtube is full of HQ video about power moves...
I don't pretend say how bboying must be, I just want to inspire people through this video.

Bboying is a lifestyle. Coming from school, knowing you got things to do, but only wantin' to do this, trying to be the best, practicing, learning, believing. When I discovered bboying, it seemed dangerous, but when I saw how the bboys reacted to each others moves, seeing how much they have developed, knowing that they started like me, and finished up being the best. I dunno how but bboying inspired me, yeah I gotta stay sharp at school. But, this, is something I love and cannot stop doing.

I do bboying for my family, I want them to be proud of me.. "inspiration" I do bboying because I love dance and art, and I think bboying is the best platform to express my self.. "creativity" I do bboying I want to show the world what can I do.. "power" I do bboying because, its my "style".. Love, Peace and Dance.. ^^,

For me, Bboying, like the video is more than just a dance. Bboying is my identity, my life. Before Bboying, I was a miserable, and lonely person on the verge of ending my life. It took one person (my crew mate to-date) to show me that there is more to Bboying than just throwing my body around in a stylish manner. I'm proud to say that for all eternity I am a Bboy

before i started dancing i was really nobody, i had no confidence, i never smiled, i write poetry but i felt a hole somewhere down deep in my soul, then i discovered breaking, i became someone, at first no one respected me, now everyone respects me and i have become a strong individual, i don't back down anymore, i go forward. No matter how hard life beats me down i still will forever break, even when im 90 years old, i will break, if i break all my life i will never be too weak to not to.

for me bboy is passion, and art. It is more than moves like the video said. It is a way of expressing your self, your true self. When the music is going on all you have to do is take it in and then just rock out. Also it means to have fun.

Perseverance, Discipline, creativity. That's the 3 most important thing to me in bboying. In our pursuit to get doper, we often find ourselves sacrificing time with our gfs or school. Takes alot of discipline to religiously train no matter how busy u may be

What's bboying for me? Well its about creativity, expressing myself through music feeling good and alive while I dance to the music, like having my soul flux with music and dance to purely dance and to have freedom while doing it. That is what bboying is to me.

Dope vid. Even though I think alot of major keys were left out that fully esplain bboying. Plus I feel alot of individual dancers couldve been added. For example Bboy cloud couldve been added for style. I think gravity killed it at 5:00 right on point with music. -keep Practicing yall.

What I love about bboying is the types of people who do it. Im tired of seeing people in today's society that brag and flaunt about themselves when they have nothing to back it up, but bboys are the ones who can brag but choose not to. That shows the incredible and respectful character that we as bboys possess and the bonds that are created between bboys last a lifetime, no matter which side you're on.

Actual Feelings, Creativity, Musicality, Inspiration, Fun & Love ... my 1st trailer was about dancing more than powermoves. But in my opinion, every bboy has his own style of dancing and expression. B-boying NEVER leaves you. I remember watching beat street first thing in the morning before school.All I'd watch was the roxy battle - lol! I'm 43 now and can still windmill and head spin, but usually end up paying for it :). Stretch and mobilize my young brothers or agonize later in life. I do Crossfit now to stay in shape. Peace!

This video is 5 years old, still great. Breaking is a way to express myself. Although i may not be artistic and creative, breaking allows me to be who I am. Yes, all i can do are power moves. However, like i said before, i am not creative. Also, I do not battle. I perform, well used to perform with my high school friends. We all had different styles, different preferences, but in the end we stuck together and became a family. Breaking is more than power moves and trick, of course, but that's what makes breaking so great. We can power heads, creative, original, tricksters, or stick to the foundations. we can even be all of the above. Breaking is awesome, for those who break, don't give up.

actually im one with no gymnastics background. (i watch this video everyday as inspiration XD) yet it's all about mustering courage! i had nothing, to make me a bboy, but now im at one year and im loving it. It's like any sport, commit and you'll be great.

Although I had a martial arts background, I only danced because it really made me happy and pulled me out of my depression. TL;DR Just dance if you love it. Skill does not matter

nice response.i ever really knew tese reasons or the way people should footwork.but you said it the right way.thanx for the comment and the way you expressed the footwork/toprock situation.i guess i was too stuck on powermoves.i guess my generation of hip hop and bboys there wasnt much of footwork/toprock.it was jus boom power and headspins/windmills.backspins.lol..thanx again.

great video man , dam right bboying is more than a dance..for any bboy/bgirl , you live and breathe the hip hop culture .. and it becomes your world .. alot of mainstream dancers look down on us because we aren't ''refined'' or ''classical'' id disagree and dam sure anyother breaker would agree..:p lets make the hiphop culture live on through our expression in breaking , who cares if anybody dilikes it :)

Of course there is creativity in powers. I didn't mean that there isnt creativity at all in powers. There is a much greater variety of footwork you can come up with, which makes it easier for creativity. But for power moves, creativity is much harder because 1: learning the power itself takes enormous effort, strength, and time. 2: Turning the power into your variation takes much more thought, practice, and a shitload of pain and injuries. Bboys like The End are respected cuz they took the risk.

bboying is being WHO u are, when either you are an artist or athelete It does not matter. The point of bboying is to express yourself, being able to showcase your talent in ur own way and perspective in most honesty way posible. It took me time to relise the truth because of all the ignorant people that does not understand bboying.
