One of my favourite quotes: Francois Fenelon; "All wars are civil because all men are brothers". If only the world worked like that, but it never has. Not sure humanity is capable of living without war.

When I was 6 years old my big sister play this album all the time no lie at 6 years old I was so touched by the song at age 6 I memorized every verse and word and I still believe hands down this is one of GNR greatest songs. Hats off to Axl Rose, slash and duff for creating this beautiful classic.

I absolutely love watching people react to this song. The message in the lyrics, unfortunately, is timeless. You can't trust freedom when it's not in your hands, when everybody is fighting for their promised land.... incredible. GnR were drastically underestimated in my opinion. Great reaction.

Aren't you glad you listened to this song I'm a teenager from the 70s guns n' roses came in the 80s and 90s and I've seen them several times and they put on one of the best concerts and they write the best lyrics they're all different and it's a great band and if they decide to tour again I suggest you go and see them and get as close to the stage as you possibly can that's what I did and it's the best

Great reaction, really good to see someone who fully gets this song. So sorry to hear about your brother man. Civil war is not only one of my favourite guns n' Roses songs but just one of my favourite songs of all time. Apparently it took Axl months to come up with the Lyrics for this but it turned into a absolute masterpiece. In the GNR catalogue I'd also recommend Coma and Don't damn me, 2 of my other favourites by them.

When you fire that first shot, no matter how right you feel, you have no idea who's going to die. You don't know who's children are going to scream and burn. How many hearts will be broken! How many lives shattered! How much blood will spill until everybody does what they're always going to have to do from the very beginning -- sit down and talk!

Credence Clearwater Revival, Fortunate Son speaks just what you said sceez. The rich fortunate ones always got out of the draft during Vietnam War Only young poor men were called. The government's children never went. Their daddies pulled their strings to keep them here. Give it a listen if you haven't already. Bhip

The higher ups don't go to war because we have an all volunteer military to do that. The wars we go to are always up for debate in whether or not they were a good idea to get involved in. I am an Iraq veteran. From my experience and what I saw, the Iraqi's were grateful to us for ridding their country of Saddam Hussain. When we go to war, we don't necessarily ant to but some foreign leaders - its all they understand. Negotiations happen first but if things cannot be resolved, that's when war happens. I have been listening to this song for a while. And seemingly, the rich get richer and the poor gets poorer...but that's not the case. The people who are homeless - choose to be. There are MANY options to go to organizations that can help them but they don't seek those organizations out for different reasons. The people who are not homeless but do not make much and/or are on welfare...choose to be. Why people want to be victims of government control and dependency is beyond me. The big corporations are only profiting because we allow them to. For example, why take medications for totally curable illnesses. Not all diseases or illnesses are curable but alot are. But too many people are quick to jump on their doctors to give them medications instead. This is what provides your hard earned money to drug companies. There are many other examples, but that's a big one. Instead of focusing on a president who will be tough on people or has proven negotiating skills that can be used in matters of foreign policy and rebuilding economic wealth, we have a president who concentrates on sending billions of our tax money to a foreign country that does not benefit our interests. Do you know how many other countries beg for our assistance on a regular basis? What makes Ukraine so special? That's whole other topic. This president also concentrates on woke ideologies that are killing the American fabric on the daily. Sorry to get political but this video brings it out when people try to understand its meaning.

God help me I was only 19. Listen. Was so away from them. I got on a B-Side. Them and Iron Maiden. All in your Mind. And a Child Poverty album. Play it with Apocalypse now. Play it with any war. Hope we find peace now. Thought I was going to be the first of my age, to grow old without Global war. My Dad got called up for Vietnam. I would probably tell them to get fucked as another uncle did. Not our wars. :) :( Then again, can we even be Civil here at times. :) :( I jumped in when the shot man whom said peace would last forever, we still don't know what it truly means. :( :) The Dichotomy of our Democracies (ands), Define Man. All want this. Unless Psychotic in someway. Peace is war, war is peace. Pi is living. Smart is? I could be wrong I could be right. I could be. If this song makes one person be a politician or business person for others truly. I grow old happy. :( :)
