Love the black brick! You will have to put in a window in the area you are planning to enclose in order for it to be considered a bedroom. I don't recall seeing one in the video. Your home is really coming together!

Kimberly Riley I think you need a closet not a window in order to make it a bedroom. That’s what my contractor told me when I built an add-on to my house.

Kimberly Riley you have to have an egress window in the basement not in the room, I had 3 rooms in my basement and the egress was in the main area, the bedroom was on a connected wall so I wouldn’t need a window but I see some home that have a room on a free side of a wall would need one

Still amazed where do you get all of your energy from? A dropped ceiling with larger panels that look more like tin tiles would give it more character and more of a deliberate decorating choice and you would still have access to your pipes & wiring.

The drop ceiling is KEY!! Like you mentioned it would really change things if ever you had to repair things...companies will also charge you more if they have to open the ceiling, plus it makes a huge mess for nothing. There are really nice ceiling tile options...some look like coffered ceilings etc

I love the hardwood flooring considering the basement seems to be the area for entertaining guest. Easy clean for possible spills & it's scratch resistant. SMART!

Love the flooring! Uriah's the cutest! I'm a mom of two grown men now and one little girl. But when my boys were as young as Uriah they would always snuggle with me and hug and kiss🥰🥰 me every night before bedtime. Well now they're grown men no more hugs n kisses anymore they're too busy hugging and kissing their women now! Enjoy it while it last Nitraab they really do grow up fast but momma will always be their first love! 🥰🥰🥰

Or you can decorate it like a loft space. Especially since the brick from the fire place is there. It would be a great industrial look for Colton. Heat for man cave and family gatherings.

I love your basement💕💕💕💕You could put molding were each piece meets. If you have to go in the ceiling, at least it will be easier than having to cut sheetrock & patching it.

I've installed LVP install in my house, prior to installation I allow the flooring to acclimate to the temperature of the house for one to two weeks...when I'm ready to installed it I remove all my baseboards and allow 1/4 inch throughout the outer perimeter, that way once I install the baseboards back in place I don't need to install quarter round throughout the perimeter at all, it make it look much nice and cleaner...currently I'm installing a new LVP thoughout my house and will be using the same methods as previous installation...I personally don't like quarter round, I prefer a nice clean professional look, not that quarter round don't make it look nonprofessional; it just my preference.👍😁 You can also Improve the lighting within the basement by adding Daylight LED...it would brighten it up muchhhhh better, also Amazon sell sofa sectional lock mechanism for the sectional.

Home Depot has some updated versions of ceiling tile that you might like (Model #'s: V1-STR-24WTO-10; PANQ24S; and PANQ24A for example). Good luck!

I didn't realize during the house tour how big your basement is. I really love the choice of the laminated floors instead of carpeting. I see a lot of entertaining in your future. Many Alabama/Auburn football game parties. Love what you guys have done to the house!!
