nothing is going on. Bama was at 95 scholarship players. People had to leave and most of the guys in the portal did not play this year and have younger guys getting ready to pass them up.
They are always over reacting, these channels really don’t have a clue what is going on inside the program. Like stick to reporting on the portal and recruits, and stop speculating about programs health
@@Thedog9 that’s all facts lol because a lot of them want to see Bama fall. This is Bama and UGA each year because of how well they recruit which doesn’t really hurt either team
The transfer portal needs to be moved until after all the bowl games are complete. Just looking at the result of the bowl games that we got this year in general. As for Alabama. They do have a very deep group of 4- and 5-star players. And with the new system in place next year this will allow some that more than likely been a backup getting a chance to play on another quality team in the playoff system. Perhaps this will up the quality of play overall. Only time will tell.
The portal won't be moved. The dates correspond with the academic calender. They players have to be enrolled in school to participate. It completely sucks but unless they make some rules changes the portal dates are stuck.
What's going on? A youtuber tryna make content that's relevant to college football. This video will come out every year for the views. Hell, Paul Finebaub got rich by talking dramatic crap about college football. All the fans he pissed off, ironically became viewers as they was posting their hate comments 😂 its nothing personal, just business for the content creators.
Whats sad about college football now is that you never really get to know a guy a follow his career as much as you used to like jerry jeudy jaylen waddle and devonta smith these guys all in this day and age would’ve been gone and also i feel like alot of these decisions are emotional and thats tough because i feel like alot of times it’s not necessarily in their best interests
Yup! One of the traditional elements that made college football what is was. Now, playing for a specific team means nothing because, a "commitment" means nothing, other than the first year. What I find laughable is how indifferent fans are to this, like, no big deal!
i agree in a sense but i also think good coaches like saban are willing to sit down with these players and explain best options whether it be the draft or to transfer with the depth chart being so deep on some of these teams
@Guizmopeg As if a "5-star" always remains that way. Some guys can't play college football, no matter how good they were in high school. Thank god you're not coaching!
Saban needs to stop taking on coaching projects, and start investing in seasoned, long term coaches. It may cost some money, but it will be worth it. Quality line coaches are a must. Bear said, "If you can't block, and you can't tackle, you can't play football." Could use a good offensive coordinator with a play book.
All of the top programs are going to bleed transfers. A lot of players don’t pan out and transfer to lesser programs. A lot of programs are also over their scholarship numbers like Bama.
Nothing going on just the times we are in, Georgia won back 2 back national championships and still had people transfer it's just the state of college football now
@@bugle1988 In comparison to what/who? If Alabama is who you are referring to then Georgia is Definitely On Top! Winning Two Titles since Winning One! Do you need someone to explain it to you?
@@GrayGamer the phrase “on top” is speaking of the present! Georgia is the standard in 2023! What Alabama accomplished 5 or 10 years ago is irrelevant in 2023. Until Washington or Michigan is crowned NC. It is Georgia on top! Alabama is desperately trying to remain relevant!
They were like 12-15 scholarship players over 85! Somebody's got to go! Malik Benson that had like 15-20 catches this year is leaving, Earl Little Jr that was a backup DB, and Terrance Ferguson who was the backup guard are the only players Bama might wanna keep that entered the portal. Pretty sure everyone is ready to move on from center Seth McLaughlin who is gonna play one more year by using his Covid yr. Nobody else that hit the portal has ever played meaningful snaps but Shazz Preston is a good receiver that somebody will be glad to have, he just never got on the field at Bama.
I said it a week before the game, the more people double down on the auntie Michigan bandwagon, the and the greater the climactic environment surrounding Alabama's preeminence, against Michigan's history... Well, this was going to be a classic tale of the aether leaking out the window and a very nice climactic event - people, Michigan wasn't going to lose this game. And what happened to Alabama's offense the entire first half was a testament and a hint they weren't going to win. The illusion in a postseason scenario that the number four team was going to beat the number one team was pure coffee house optics. And I said it over a week ago, watch Alabama's transfer portal start closing like crazy when they lose, and they did and that portal has not yet stopped the gutting is going to continue I'm predicting Alabama could lose upwards towards 20 players if not more. But, a lot of it is practical, you have to look at how that program is built and how they attract their players, every school has a limit to the number of scholarships they can put out, and then you have the greasy NIL part of it, if existing players couldn't see being used, they had to go where they could extend their utility while the program they were under had value... Practical trimming and unmet expectations are what's culling the Bama bench.
Lmao…anyone that follows college football even the slightest bit knows nothing is going on…not one of the current transfers played any significant snaps and more than like Saban has encouraged them to look elsewhere if they want. Saban meets with every player after the last game. Believe me all of these were expected. There’s probably only one that I was somewhat surprised with.
Ain't nothing going on but the new norm in college football by the way which I can't stand I can't take all these players leaving after 2 years and not developing more it's going to cost them money in the long run
not at all. Most players who transfer from Bama are solid players and go on to be good at other schools. Many even improve their draft stock. Now this is just at a school like Bama that is overflowing with talented players. 4th string at Bama could very well be all conference at another school. Now at other lesser schools you are probably right.
JD this is lowkey ridiculous. When you see starters like Caleb Downs and Isaiah Bond entering the portal, yeah Saban might’ve leaked a retiring possibility. Bama’s losing dudes that never saw the field, besides the center, and people that know ball will know that’s addition by subtraction. Bama recruits 4 and 5 stars out their ass so yeah ofc every dude is gonna be “big name.” Bama has 2 studs that already announced they’re coming back, Malachi Moore and Deontae Lawson, but nobody wants to mention that.
Oh I know what is going on at bama, lmao another year when everyone is hating us for going on another championship run ,those players leaving will have little to no impact on that roster ..ROLL MFKN TIDE
@SweetLeavesXbox1 such a good response but I'll one up you on our back2back cfp nattys that yall have yet to accomplish the back 2 back. Guess you forgot about us breaking your SEC winning streak not to mention our senior class went 50-4. Or how about #1 recruiting class? What else you got imbred?
@christarpley6861 Alabama are Conference Champions. When your saying a team isn't Champions, I think your referring to Georgia Bull Dogs :) Man that SEC Title looks nice ;)
I don’t think it was wise to bring in recruits which threatened current players don’t do it next year before the championship games Alabama brought on mental crisis in at least two players.
What do you mean “what is going on with Alabama?” Great click bait title. Lmao. You are the one feeding into this “something going on.” God awful journalism and makes me not want to renew my on3 subscription. There MAY be 2-3 players that were surprising to see transfer: Earl Little: dude never could stay healthy. Period. Not a big loss if he can’t stay on the field -Seth McGlaughlin-based in his AWFUL performance this year, it’s best for both sides for him to move on. Can’t have a Center who can’t snap the ball. -Terrence Ferguson being as he had a good CHANCE to play this year. The rest are guys buried on the depth chart. -You clearly don’t keep up w BAMA football if you think Malik Benson “isn’t just another dude, and that it is a big deal he is in the portal.” Benson wasn’t the great Juco WR he was made out to be. Never showed up and out. Dropped balls in big moments. Wouldn’t have been a top 5 WR this year. Juco isn’t SEC football.
It really ain't nothing going on lol the guys that transferred really wasn't no big lost having we seen this happening at every school for the last couple years we had a lot of guys leave last year and they wasn't no big lost
@@DAWGFAN1 really, everywhere else is reporting he seems to be leaning to FSU and visiting there this weekend which makes sense considering he is from florida.
@MCG55SS let's not forget his High School coach is the DB coach at Florida State everybody knew he was going there this is not a surprise anybody who thinks he was going to Georgia LOL
None of the players that left wernt ever going to play anyway and the ones left year that left last year didn't do shit. Thank god alabama is getting a new center that guy was ass all season
