You got a source for that Ian? I would find it strange they would deviate so much from the design submitted for planning especially given the wind issues highlighted during their initial analysis.

@@acivilconversation18 The multi-story car park was changed on the final revised submission that lowered the roof by a small amount. West side will have a stepped plaza area which provides covered access and without the attached carpark hospitality lounges now have a fine view over the Mersey. You can see this change in your vid at 1.20. There will be a small open air carpark on the other side of the water channel but it won’t be available for general use on match days.

@@ianrichards6183 Yes you're right Sir, I think I may have been confused when I saw the vehicle tracking which will still allow for the team buses to go underneath the West Stand, thanks for bringing this to my attention. I still think the inclusion of some sort of massing on the West Stand to prevent any wind bounce (a stepped terracing in this case) is still valid imo and shows the evolution of the stadium design.
