I could have bought Tesla at 140 but I saw the same thing, and I still stand by my thesis that it is overvalued. Elon is the king of over promising and under delivering. If anything goes south in the markets Tesla will plummet. But if it delivers at FSD day it will keep climbing up before something goes wrong. I just see so many better opportunities right now even when it comes to spec stocks. Chima already has millions of FSD drives under their belt too so it's not like they have a moat there, or robotics, or AI. It would have made a great short term play if I jumped on it, but I've done better in the same time with what I have bought and held. I'm not trading right now as the markets make absolutely no sense.

I personally don’t give a single crap about delivery numbers. I also knew prices would have to fall to become more readily available to the consumer. It’s just not worth what the current price shows. I thought $140 was a decent spot for it. I also agree with you regarding what the market is showing. It’s very strange. I’m almost considering taking my profits and sitting on cash for a bit.

@ssing7113 AI is used in creating self driving models using massive machine learning models. So, basically it can run millions of scenarios based on data to create network nodes that make these full self driving ai bots give you a safer more efficient driver. Tesla is also using the same technologies to build out humanoid robots. But let's be real you would be a fool for pricing in growth that won't start for 10 years from now. Tesla can be a great sideways trade for ten years or so. And I'm not saying you should try to time the market. What I'm saying is to base your portfolio on your goals, time horizon, etc. People held Tesla and other spec stocks at the time like Nvidias and were richly rewarded. Do your own due diligence and stick to your thesis based on fundamentals. Don't mind the noise and fomo.

Not really. The modeling out with falling revenues makes it maybe a 400 B segment. So Tesla already prolly has baked in half the revenue already

Sold out of Tesla yesterday at $266 Unfortunately, the two catalysts right now are unreliable. Earnings on July 23 may be slightly higher, but will have margin compression with the discounted car prices. The Robotaxi announcement on August 8 will still not become a reality for sometime so I think many will sell off on the news. At least I broke even. Put the money into TSLY for a substantial monthly dividend. Due to Elon musk‘s volatile disposition, TESLA is just way too volatile for me.

You called it Parkev! All the hype & stock increase was partially bc of Elons statement of robo taxis coming in soon. I suppose he saw the stock price increasing so much that he better come out and make a statement about how the taxis actually won’t be ready on time. Exactly what you said. He has a history of promising and then not delivering on time. This run up didn’t concern me because I figured it was all hot air! Thanks for your wise advice Professor!

Great video, I am a Tesla investor but only like to increase my position when forward p/e drops to more reasonable valuations. I think Tesla will be a big beneficiary in phase 2 of the AI roll out. Very few can compete with their FSD software. Love your content professor. Look forward to your analysis whenever big news drops

I'm in IONQ for that long play right now at 7 bucks a share and I don't see it doing much over the next couple years, but it could be the next Tesla/Nvidia type of thing. We'll see I guess, lol.

Appreciate very much this view, very reasonable. Moreover, Several leading Chinese EV manufacturer have built their production plant in European countries already, the biggest is BYD factory in Hungary , there is also Chery production plant in Spain… Tesla’s EV rivals are organised as well

I will say though that if you want to hold a position in Tesla for 10 or more years it's almost a sure thing that it will at least 5x in that time. If you don't plan on holding that lomg amd through crazy volatility then go for it.
