I'm back with another update of what's happening here in Southern Utah!🗣️This time I'm back on St. George Boulevard in downtown St. George. 👀🔥
The main corridor right through downtown has a bunch of awesome things in the works that will continue making it a place to eat, shop, and live. Mostly looking forward to seeing all the restaurants open up. Going to be a good year around here!

Tumeric was my favorite, glad to see the same guys running the new place, can't wait to try when I get back. Sad about Larsens, I can't tell what is worse the soda addiction or the antidepressant Addiction in Utah 😅

Apartments close to a grocery store ✅ New restaurants ✅ Love to see it. Also, stoked about Chubby's. That was my favorite burger joint up north. If they do it the same as they did up there, people will flock to it.

St. George Boulevard could be turned into a beautiful attraction similar to Atlantic Boulevard in Delray Beach Florida. However, it’ll never happen in our lifetime. Because the city council doesn’t have a clue.

Agreed. Driving down the blvd the other day I realized just how aged it's looking from end to end and very underwhelming. Even the trees in the sidewalks and medians look weedy and cluttery. I think we need palms to replace them for a more sharp, clean look. This is our main downtown drag where tourists and visitors get their first impression. Literally the only semi attractive looking block (more less corner) is where the Advenire Hotel sits at Main.

I've been saying that it does appear to be that way for new or not well known restaurants, but Mixed Green already has a huge following and i think they can overcome it. I'm cheering for them

City owned land with a "Request For Proposal" of what to do with the land.

Sorry about that! It is a request for proposal that the city puts out for developers to bring development ideas to them, with one being selected to make it happen.

No to the apartments, yes to everything else. Mega apartment structures will eventually become slums.

@@macraeheppler We can agree to disagree on the virtues of high-density residential construction. But IMO population density or high-density residential combined with lower socioeconomic status (as introduced with apartments structures vs single family) will eventually lead down the same road.
