Having moved from the uk to France 2015, we are now planning a move to Bulgaria to live more off self sufficient and off grid (before we get too old). Its getting harder and harder to do so in france and it will actually be easier and cheaper for our girls to visit us (and us them). Have a wonderful festive season break, Kayleigh, i hope you get your hip sorted soon (otherwise you might have to learn to do the video editing 😉🤣) and we look firward to following your journey (and hopefully your footsteps) in 2024. ❤

From where is your incom do you work in BG?

Well, since you asked, ill tell ya. This 51 yo boy from New Zealand is gonna be landing in Porto Portugal in April ! I'm currently selling everything I own for a new life...somewhere...Portugal is the first option, but open to any ideas, Bulgaria, Romania, Spain, Italy. This is the biggest thing I've done since I did my overseas adventure when I was 21 which I didn't stop travelling till I was 28. I'm excited and also terribly nervous but that will all go once I have found my feet. Your show is inspiring like many other vlogs I watch to keep my excitement up, It would be amazing to come across you guys while I look around. Have a great day, I'm off to water my mates tomatoes :)

Hiya, Merry Christmas to you also. Our sister and friends are in Bulgaria in our house near Balchik spending a few days there over Christmas, we are home in the UK but will be back in BG April or May next year. Still got a few things to finish, such as roof insulation and a driveway.

Can’t wait to see more Udens in 2024. Having moved 3000kms away from my family and raising kids alone i can understand the difficulties ( and i was in the same country still). Hopefully your hip will get sorted easily and you will be pain free. Love your channel, humour and smiles. Merry Christmas. Hopefully 2024 will find me travelling to another continent to make it 5/7 thus far.

Our plan for 2024 is....Bulgaria! 8 years in the planning....and 138 days to go (not that we're counting!) We'll be starting out in a caravan too...as for weekly uploads...yes please! Good luck on sorting your hip out...your health is more important than anything x

A video a week would be great. My only concern (as I release a video as week as well) is that at some point it will be quite taxing. But if you can manage it, go for it. :)

More videos would be great! I love videos about renovating/rebuilding homesteads and expat life in Bulgaria, especially off grid, since I plan to do the same in a year or two. And you guys are one of my favorites because you're very real and wholesome and that comes across great in your videos. That said, don't overstress yourself to maintain the schedule. A lot of full time youtubers have stepped back from once a week videos to once every two weeks and random bonus videos in between. Also if you change from strictly building and property related videos to renovation-life that's totally fine. As was once said to one of my favorite million+ subscriber sports youtubers: If you posted a video about you making breakfast, we'd watch it.

Merry Christmas to you all, and enjoy your trip to the UK. Tomorrow is Christmas Day and as usual I'll be busy in the kitchen, doing something different, Lamb Shanks with mash potatoes and a couple of veg. The lamb I bought in Metro and it has come all the way from NZ, as is the wine we'll be having. I'll be calling my son and my daughter-in-law who are resident in NZ, hence the Christmas Day dinner with a difference. Do take care, get the hip sorted. Best wishes to you all.
