Thank you! I've got an E&M interview next Wednesday, and this was really helpful. Do you have a list of frameworks that might be useful in the interview?
Thanks for the video!!1 Please make TSA videos as well. Also do you have any particular book recommendations for management? Please tell me how I can prepare for the interview .
How math-based is the interview and the course as a whole as well! I heard from someone who went to Cambridge that its very math based, but since Oxford has E&M I would assume it has less maths?
Hey! I'm sorry I didn't get back to this-I hope your application went well I believe you're right-the Cambridge economics course is more mathematical. You can "get away" with specialising in Mangement topics with E&M at Oxford, and the core content isn't as mathematically intense as it would be at Cambridge or LSE. However, I ended up taking more intensive maths modules in 3rd year which was definitely a challenge! The interview can have mathematical elements, certainly. Particularly around marginality (differentiating cost functions, for example) and averages. A-level mathematical content applied in an economics setting.
Hey, I'm also reading John Kay's Foundations of Corporate Success. Do you by any chance have some notes you've written on the book? I've been writing notes for every page, but I think it'd be so useful to read notes from somebody else's perspective, to perhaps find things that I personally didn't spot myself whilst reading the book.
Hey sir, i am from India, idk whether you would reply to my comment or not, but i would like to know whether or not it's necessary to mention a book i read in my personal statement.
