does the suspension system cut into the main compartment? I dont understand how a bag with sush a C shaped suspension system has the same capacity as another 40l bag with same measurements but a normal flat suspension system.
My friend and I are currently planning a 2 month trip to Southeast Asia as well. We're trying to figure out how we should plan/book as far as stays. Will you be staying in hostels/airbnbs/hotels? We want to bounce around to different countries but are worried about having to carry all of our stuff with us (and pay for it depending if we fly). Will you have place to leave some of your items or are you just carrying it all with you everywhere you go? Please help, we are struggling and SO stressed LOL
I did fly AirAsia!! Yes, took this bag and my other one as my carry on and personal item and had no hassle. Nobody measured or weighed. After flying a few times I found that if you check in at the airport they will possibly check how many bags you have / weigh them. But checking in online and going straight to the gate I didn’t see anything by the gate to weigh or measure bags. Not sure if we just got lucky, but 5/5 flights have been good so far! You are bringing a LOT of things for 2 months... Wouldn't it be easier for u to bring a suitcase and a backpack instead of 3 separate bags filled to the max? I read u manage to go with those bags as carry-on bags, how!?? The osprey 40L looks way to big for that!😳
I have an Osprey Porter 46L that I fill to the brim and use as a carryon. Between the size (I really do think its looks gigantic - I'm also a petite 5'4") and the fact that its bright red, I have expected to get stopped basically every time I go anywhere, but nobody has ever batted an eye at me. I will say that my last trip was in Feb 2020 right before the world shut down, but I flew at least once a year from 2014 to 2020, with connections, and once from BOS to Heathrow to Sweden, and nobody ever said Boo. I was also always carrying a personal item as well (just a large purse). The flight staff must be able to eyeball these things though, because it somehow always looked small once it was up in the overhead bin, and was totally able to get smushed in if necessary 🤷🏻♀ Now its 2024 and the airlines keep adding seats to smash us in like sardines, so its very possible things have changed quite alot in 4 years :/
💯💯💯 Women shouldn't have to apologize or shoo men away like they're going to be mortified. I'm sure its happened for whatever reason but I can't imagine a guy shooing women from their video to talk about hygiene during travel.
