I've been running the Pakt backpack because of the bevy of amazing reviews, and although I do really like it, the clamshell design does have pros and cons, so I'ma try this Shelter backpack and decide from there

The shelter backpack is great, it is spacious. You can use it for 2 days away and you can use it for a whole month away. But you have to keep some things in mind. Beginning at the bottom. The elastic bands aren’t that elastic so a normal 3 person tent is not going to fit in. I used extra ropes to tie my tent onto it. Then the hipbelt. It is a good hipbelt you can tie it really tight but it isnt to cushiony. So you don’t wanna have a wrinkle in your pant right underneath because you’re gonna feel it. Then the hidden pocket. It is really hidden so I have a airtag in it. But you dont put your phone in it. Because when you fill your backpack the space gets cramped and you cant really reach it with ease anymore. So you can put your passport in it but only when your not going to use it as fast. The pack itself is great well build and really strong. The meshpockets are really big but also elastic. I really like that. The side pockets are really nice but when you first fill up your bag and then want to put something in you could fit in before. It sometimes doesn’t fit anymore because of the wardrobe system. So put in the side pockets first then the wardrobe. The raincover is nice to have but cant go over the daypack and is a really tight fit when you have the backpack fully packed with shoes in the extra pocket. The pack is also with the wardrobe a bit on the heavy side. The wardrobe is 660grams and the bakcpack 1,45kg. And last but not least. The shoulderbelts, they are also not to puffy so with a heavy load you can feel them. All in all is still really like this bag. It is spacious and you can use it for all your travel. But it has some flaws. So @tropicfeel if you want some improvements hit me up hahah.

Emilia used 40L bag on this trip which is a bit smaller, but this Shelter bag is similar size but can extend if needed :)

Actually about 400€ with the accessories... Split between Shelter and the bigger bag from AEVOR, which is tons cheaper.

Yeah I’ve found the bag very comfortable to wear to be honest, the waist strap is good and they have straps to tighten the bag above the shoulder

I filmed this 5 months ago, and the lifestraw water bottle is a lot better you can feel you can trust with more water sources, and for some reason I can’t charge it now

I'm in the middle of an 8 month SEA trip and I use the 30L "Pakt" backpack, so I'd say 40L is enough. I use the same amount of clothing as shown in the video, but I also carry a drone, a VR headset, a dualscreen laptop (w/external keyboard), a hammack, a bluetooth speaker, and other random stuff Sometimes when I accumulate too much new clothe, I'll put some in my Matador freerain22. It is useful when needed and then packs up tiny, I also use that for groceries, day-trips, etc. That being said, my pack is too full right now lol

Kind of worrying that Tropicfeel do not offer different sizes. As can be seen at 0:55, this backpack is definitely not fitting you correctly. Any experienced hiker will tell you that.
