Hey guys. I’m back in SF now and I’m finally getting around to posting my Hawaii vlogs. This is the first one, and it starts off on a serious note, but it’s something I felt needed to be addressed. There’s a big issue going on in Hawaii right now, with tourists disrespecting the land, animals, residents, mask mandates, etc. So please at least educate yourself and show respect to the local residents if you do visit. And also understand that the best way to show respect would be to not visit at all right now. Hope you can still enjoy the video and live vicariously through it. Thank you so much for addressing the current situation. I went home to see family back in june as well and I struggle with the guilt of visiting while the pandemic is still being mismanaged. Of course I followed all the proper protocols and had my vaccines way in advance but.. seeing all the people that give zero shits about their impact on the local community makes me furious and depressed 😔
