I feel you on the hoodie-so-your-head-doesn't-touch-the-seats thing, but I mainly wear a hood or pull a sweater up high if I don't plan on washing my hair later that day. Otherwise, I just embrace the germs until I land and can shower and wash my hair. Glad I'm not the only crazy one!

If you like the hoodie but need relief from the heat...I have gotten awesome short-sleeved hoodies and zip-hoodie vests from American Apparel and Alternative Apparel. Can't recommend them enough!

I throw my bag in the washer and it comes out clean and the bag looks like new 🥰

Yeah, I thought I had turned into a pretty bad germaphobe living in NYC for too long, lol. You ride those subways and you start to avoid touching the poles, stairway handrails, door handles, etc., hehe. And I'm getting worse! The last few times I have traveled out of town, I have been dead tired but didn't want to put my head on the headrest because I didn't want my hair touching whatever might have been left behind by previous heads, hahaha...omg, I sound insane. But I was really excited to hear about the hoodie solution! Did you invent this??? It's awesome! Only problem is it's just so DANG hot right now, yes even now with less than 10 days until October, to wear hoodie sweaters but I will have to find those cute sleeveless beach tops with hoodies.

I love my Le Pliage tote as my everyday bag when traveling but I prefer using a backpack as a carryon. Our travels are usually 10-12 days for vacation so we have check-in suitcases. The backpack is for inflight necessities including a one day emergency outfit in case our luggages are lost. For our most recent trip I was satisfied w how I was able to pack my skin care in small containers which all fit in my liquids bag. I did not have to sacrifice leaving anything out of my skin care routine for the whole trip! So, that’s what we take w us …1 check in luggage each, and we each have a backpack as a carryon for ease of getting in and out of the plane. I have my Le Pliage folded and packed up and if I come home needing extra space for anything then I can use that as my personal bag plus my backpack. Let’s be real, I don’t travel like a minimalist and I prefer not to, especially if my trip is longer than 2 or 3 nights. If, after your trip, you found something w the way you packed worked well or something did work well or backfired, maybe you can do a follow up video. Take care! SYBIL

I totally get the airplane germiphobia. I love the hoodie idea, think I’m going to bring one on my next flight! I always use my Le Pliage tote to fly, but now the corner holes are getting bigger. Might have to get another soon, thinking of getting the Neo, as the canvas seems to be more durable.

I also travel with my Le Pliage, love it. No neck pillow or hoodie for me though, no worries about germs whatsoever!! Well, I do use an antibac gel on my hands, especially if I'm going to handle food.
