Hi guys !! This video is a collaboration video with Ashley from The Coello Family Vlogs and we have teamed up to discuss what's in our parent handbooks. Ashley's Video: • DAYCARE POLICIES 2024 ...
I don't know why I thought you've been doing this for a few years at least . I love your setup so much . Your handbook is great . I may need to adjust mines and add a few things. Thanks once again for collaborating with me.
I have been doing childcare since 1997. Had a one page contact and no handbook. Now several page contract, a handbook about 15 pages long, registration, permission forms, ASQs, checklists, etc.So much has changed!!!
Yes I do also provide bedding for each child we also have to wash each week after care and cots and porta cots are fully washed also. I've toilet trained many children in my 14 years of working as daycare provider comes with the job. My children come with full lunch boxs I just provide the water to go with their food. My routine food times are 10am for morning tea and 11.45 lunch then they sleep for 2 to 3 hours up for afternoon snack then home time for at least 2. We only do a 1 to 4 ratio of children no more than 2 under 2 at 1 time.
Is there any way you would consider sharing your handbook? I’ve done daycare in my home for 19 years and I’m getting ready to update mine. We share many of the same rules and ideas. Thanks!
Is there a way I can get in contact with you for your assistance with helping me write my handbook?… I don’t mind compensating you financially. Everything you said was on point. I open in June.
Here in new Zealand I'm a inhome childcare provider we are under a umbrella of a company better not to name it were as my family have to have their payment into this company and they pay us a d some family are intilted to a childcare subsidy. If the family choose to go on holiday they still pay as normal but if I choose to close they dont have to pay but I have to let the company I work for know if child is sick they still pay as normal. We do a condition of service sheet for each family so they know their hourly rate and sickness holidays ect.
If we have dogs they have to be put away why children are in care. I have a program tutor who visit at least once month why you have children in care she will go through my paper work for the month we do health and safety checks once a term. When we go on excursions we have forms my parents sign and special excursions. We also have sleep policy and nappy changing policy and a child protection policy and also a supervision plan also for all children in care. And we also have to hazard identification and risk assessment. Its changed so much over the years.
