Me too and I love to watch her vlog and she is amazing organized in kitchen and I need more organized and not a lot of stiffs things hat I need to buy more.also her meal prep is amazing idea too. Where did u buy light blue shelf from your table I don’t know what it called....
Great video! I laughed every time you opened a cabinet and commented how messy it was....it all looked great! I just recently went through my kitchen and purged it. I have two pressure cookers also, so I made the decision to donate my Crockpot. I don't have as many children but I do cook a lot and because of my RA the pressure cookers are so great! I keep one big pot, a medium size saucepan type pot and one smaller one. I do my main cooking in the instant pot. I have one cookie sheet, 1 12 cup muffin pan and a pizza pan. I have only what I actually use and it has made a lot of difference! I keep my bread machine out because I use it every week and I have a stand mixer. I use things that make it easier for me because of the RA. I also have a large frying pan and a small one. The small one is used by the kids most of the time. Decluttering has certainly made keeping my kitchen cleaned up easier! By the way, you have the prettiest junk drawer I have ever seen!
Thanks for opening your home to us, I feel as though I am actually there. I love the idea of the vinegar and essential oils. Maybe you could show each bottle on how you put yours together. And demonstrate each one's use. Also, I didn't see the turning item you use to make your applesauce. I love that video when you made applesauce.
That I keep in the corner cupboard up on top. :). It isn't a set mixture just vinegar and roughly ten drops each tea tree and essential oil...peppermint lemon or orange. I use it for everything
I've been binge watching your videos. I am a family of 4, so I am not really here for the large size cooking you do. However, I am so impressed with your style. So much of your food is homemade and you are feeding 10-12 all the time. With only 4 there is no excuse to not have homemade. I loved what you said in this video about not needing all the tools/stuff. You have inspired me to get rid of tons of kitchen items.
I am the same. I sell Pampered Chef so I earn things and of course I NEED it all so customers can use and see them. But we can always hand me down to our children. I have 2 children that both love to help in the kitchen so extra is nice. My daughter Madalyn LOVES hearing your introduction video with your daughter having the same name. But absolutely LOVE your videos I ALWAYS say pampered not perfect and this is real life. I love that your so real and down to earth. Thank you for the videos. 😁
Amy, Save your crockpot....I forgot to mention I use my crockpots to cook Entrees or soups overnight. I make chili or stews, pot roasts, bone broth or chicken or beef stock for soups. Wake up to Dinner is Done! I buy extra crockpots at Goodwill or use my big turkey roaster for making a soup stock. I use this method for freezer cooking and it frees up my time during the day.
All the extras are great hand-me-downs to the kids when they move out!!! That's why we're holding on to all of our extras. I have just about everything that you have! Unbelievable! Although, in one of your latest videos, I saw you cut an apple with the red apple cutter....I have that in my Amazon cart! Thanks Amy!!! Love your videos!! Lori
I do not like to have alot of stuff in my kitchen either but I agree I have accumulated more as the kids start cooking. I laughed when I saw all your scissors! 😊👍
I loved watching this video, made me feel like I was visiting your home.I am like you using the minimal and having a little bit extra. If I dont use it in a year I donate it to a thrift store. Thanks for sharing your kitchen with us.Take care,Foxy from Australia
Amy, you are so right. We have donated a lots of things to a second hand shop, we didn't use anymore. Minimize what was needed in the household and also our clothes. It was a good video and inspiring to keep on doing what we in my family already do. A big thanks to you. 👍
I love my Amish knives as well and they last so long. My mom always used them while I was growing up. 😊 I'm in the process of purging misc. gadgets, etc. which I have accumulated over the years. With that said I have a fairly new item that I absolutely LOVE! It is the Pampered Chef "Mix N' Chop" for cooking hamburger, etc. My friend's raved about it so of course I had to give it a try. Only sorry it took me so long. You should give it a try, especially since you cook such large amounts of meat at a time. It truly makes it so much easier. Just thought I'd share.
@@amymaryon It's just a utensil you use to basically chop up the meat while you are cooking it. Which I would normally use a spatula or large spoon to do. So basically you "chop and twist" it while cooking hamburger, etc. I know it sounds crazy but it works really well. Even my daughter loves it. I wish I knew how to attach a picture here but it doesn't give me that option. If you Google Pampered Chef Mix N' Chop it should show you a picture which will hopefully make more sense. I'm not much for extra "gadgets" but I really do like this one alot.
I love your videos, I get excited every day thinking that there will be a new one uploaded. Your passion and encouragement for us mums is amazing and I feel motivated each time I watch you. Thank you and keep doing what you do it's fantastic. From Wigan in England x
Happy Monday Amy! I really enjoyed your kitchen tour. I think you will really enjoy those silicone baking pads for cookies and other stuff. I got one a few years back and I use it a lot. Meats, sweets, etc. nothing has ever stuck onto them. They are great for cookies 🍪. I think Lauren will really like them also. Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for sharing!
Omg i have a lazy Susan in my kitchen too and never know what to put in there. Love the idea of storing your appliances in it! Thank you totally doing this!
Oh my gosh! I do the exact same thing! I have 4 teens at home and they have learned that if they need a dish and it's dirty, just wash it! This way, dishes are done only once a day! (I keep out six of each: 1 plate, 1 sauceer, 1 small bowl, and 1 big bowl per person).
@@vanessazahel7554 oh awesome that I'm not alone hehe yes it definitely cuts down on how many dishes we have to do, I do the aame with cups and plates and bowls
For fleas I put one teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar per gallon of dog & cats water. This works because it makes their skin taste of vinegar. We do this year round. Our barn cats have never had fleas or ticks. Fleas hate the taste when they bite your animals. It also has health benefits for all animals. Our 2 chihuahuas also get it in there water inside the house. Never had fleas on them either..
Marlene Rose Bocanegra, she makes up a gallon of water with 1 teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar for dogs & cats. Her Chihuahua's get it in their inside the house water.
Amy, do you have any idea how gracious it is of you to share your kitchen domain with us? It's very touching. I'm single and have moved numerous times. Each time I pruned more and more to get as close as possible to keep only what I use or enjoy. I have a way to go, but minimal is music to my ears. Again, TFS! (:
Omgosh I am so glad to see someone else who has used muffin tins. All Isee on youtube is people showing brand new tins. I always felt bad because mine aren't new!! Great kitchen tour!!!
love your kitchen looks so clean and organized wish i could get mine like that i have way to much in mine it is very cluttered .thank for sharing i need to get rid of a lot of stuff.
Amy, I'd love to talk to you one day..mom to mom and get some mommy advice. I know you're always busy with your own kiddos, but maybe if you had a second. It's not an emergency or any rush. Hope you and your family are having an amazing and blessed new year. Sending you guys lots of love. Xoxo
Thanks for sharing Amy. Enjoyed seeing what you have in your cupboards. I loved those nice jars you have above your microwave. I need to get some too 😀
This is what I need to do to my drawers 😊 great idea! I don’t know if this happens in your house but for some reason I am always missing spoons.. sometimes it is like magic and they disappear.. lol have a great day and thank you for these great ideas.
I find your videos especially this one very helpful an informative. I’ve already bought kitchen sheers and the hamburger crumble thingy lol after seeing how useful they are to you. Here’s an idea for you I’m using.....go on amazon and buy some heavy duty peel and stick magnet strips to hang your large knives on. I’m putting mine on the far side of my frig. You can put them on side of cabinets or on wall, even in pantry. You would be good at going to peoples homes and helping them get organized. Thanks for your videos!
I live in an area where at one time alot of new construction/ homes being built and our power went out 20 times a year. Tip: Buy the Dollar Tree Solar Light garden stakes, keep them charged in the sun light. = Free light when power goes out. Plus, for safety - solar does not require a flame. That way, kids can walk with a solar light with no worries.
Love your real life (apple on floor). Love your kitchen tour. Since I live in a mobile home I think I will down size. I got used to cook for family at holiday time (40+) plus and just kept everything. So now I'm gonna get rid of lots of stuff.
Seriously hate my pressure cooker, its being taken to the goodwill. I love my slow cooker. I now have two, in two different sizes. I've been married for 36 years, 4 children, numerous pets...wow I've collected a bunch of stuff, LOL. My kitchen is probably twice the size of yours, the bigger the kitchen the more stuff you tend to hang on to. Time for a purging!
I have always been curious about why your pantry is elevated. I can see that would make the lower items more easily accessible, but I figure there is another, maybe structure related, reason. Just curious.
Amy, you did a great job on this video!! You are so right about the more you have the more work you do. I need to get rid of somethings for sure. I laughed because you should see my kombucha jar right now too. Lol Thank you so much for sharing such quality information. Have a great day!---Tressa Daigle
I chuckled a little when I saw the bags that you wash out and re-use because I do the same thing. The problem is that they get holes in them and I still save them! Our after-Christmas clean-up included getting rid of most of the old bags and we need to start with fresh new ones. We also save bread bags to re-use and we needed to purge those as well. They started to get grungy after a lot of years of use! I also have a lot of stuff even after moving from a large home to a small home. I need to purge a few things I don't use anymore--2 sets of magic bullets that don't do such a good job anymore (15 yrs. old) and an electric frying pan. I have tons to gadgets in a lazy susan type bin that I don't use half of. Oh, and the medicine shelf needs to be cleaned out! A
I would keep your slow cooker a bit. I find that while I used my Instapot ALL THE TIME at first, I do in seasons between the two now. And a crockpot is nice incase you have to take a hot dish somewhere.
The missing forks and spoons, must be a big family thing. Mine disappear at a record pace. I’ve resorted to just getting them from thrift stores. None of them match of course!
I have a tpn of gadgets, utensils, different cast iron pieces, all kinds of things. I keep thinking I would minimize things but I'm afraid if I do, I'll end up needing it lolol
Amy went to a Norwegian party and you know how they do the butter on the window to demo the window cleaning rags. She call her customer and asked how she loved them and she told her she loved them it only took her 2 sticks to do all her window. I know all of you that use them will understand. Butter is just the show how well the clothes work.
I love dotterra oils I use on guard , lemon, lavender and peppermint for my allergies and I can breath just fine if I take them three times a day and we buy malaluca aka tea tree oil and mix it with our hair oil and my daughter can be around kids that have lice at school but she never gets it. Apparently bugs hate the smell .
I just wanted to tell you that I love your channel! I've told my family and friends about it. And I love your phone holder. I know that you said your husband made it for you. Can I order one from your family's business? I hope that you have a wonderful day!
It's cool to see someone else that has two refrigerators in the kitchen. I have my main one that came with our rental home, a small one that we bought, and an upright freezer all in the kitchen! Sometimes I feel like we could use another fridge, as we are a family of 9. Also, what brand of coffee maker is that? I've been trying to find a sparkly red one to match my microwave. Thank you for the tour!!
My son used to do the same thing! I recently found one of my big spoons when I was working in the yard. (My son is 32 now so that spoon has been there a LONG time! Lol!)
I have the Rada knives. My favorite one is my Chef's knife. But then again, I couldn't live without my paring knife or my tomato knife. I have so many, I don't want to give any of them up.
Evelyn Hayward I have the Rafa knives too. I put mine in the dishwasher and now when I use them it’s like the coating gets black on my hands. Do you know if that is fixable? Those are my favorite knives!!
@@amywilson9549 I have had some of these knives for 20 years and never have had the problem you mentioned. But, since I said that I don't remember ever putting them in the dishwasher. I don't like the dishwasher so only use it during holidays. I am wondering why the dishwasher would make a difference. Sorry I can't answer your question.
Evelyn Hayward. Bought myself Radar Knives as a Christmas present for myself and love the quality plus there made in America. Wouldn't get rid of them for anything
we love our cast iron skillets thank you for the video Amy a-lot of helpful tips do you mind if I ask do where you got your iron skillet holder the handles get hot that's for sure.
@Amy Maryon did you say you use that spray for fleas on the dogs? What is the brand and where can I find it? Here in the south fleas are horrible especially when you walk your dogs and neighbors let their dogs run free so putting out flea stuff in the yard doesn’t always work! Thank you!
Laura Little I saw it on amazon. I was excited about it b/c I have 3 dogs and a few cats. I asked my daughter about it because she is a vet tech and she said essential oils have been found to give cats seizures......then again, that leaves me with my industrial flea spray for furniture and carpet I bout from vet. You would think that one would be worse 🤔
When you make your meals ahead, have you ever had one of the large freezer bags, that you put meals in like stroganoff, break open in the freezer or not been closed tight and leak out? .....just curious
Great vlog. Today I am going to through my silverware and utensils. I have way too many. Tomorrow, pots, pans, appliances etc. My kitchen is small but I seem to have jammed so much into it. It is time to be free of things I Don't need or use. Thanks for the push to get started. Take care.
Amy can you please saw how you hung the towell on your stove. I received one for Christmas and for the life of me I just cant figure out how to hanf it. Thank you
I guessing for any kind of parties or gatherings you must use paper plates because it didn't look like you have enough regular plates for even your family. Also, you only have one fry pan? (cast iron one). Makes me feel like a hoarder with 3 sizes of non stick, two sizes of stainless, wok type one and two cast iron ones for a family of 4 (3 currently at home now). We can easily dirty 3 a day.
