I love shopping for school supplies too(: Another thing you can use those arrow tabs for marking chapters in books and notes. I have a 3-in-1 that has tabs, highlighter, and a pen, and I write with the pen side what chapter number it is and put it on the first page of the each chapter in my notes and books, so that i'm not wasting time flipping to the right page, i can just grab the chapter whatever tab and flip it open to the right page straightaway.

I live in New Zealand but I'm in Japan right now and I start school in like a week and so I had to do al my stationery shopping in Japan. The best thing ever! This video actually got me thinking about buying my stationery here and I am so gad. I got a whole new huge pencil case and all new pens and now I just cannot wait to get to school to use all my new things and be organised and alla that cool jazz!

in north america (and possibly other areas), you have to finish high school and do four years of university to get your bachelor degree and then apply for med or law school which is another four years (or more depending on what specialization).

Hej, don't worry if something you do is "silly" - that's why we like to watch your vids. Everybody does cute/silly things. I just applied princess stickers to all the pens on my work desk - now I'm happy!

OMG, I totally do that when I make lists, put things on it that I've already done just so I feel more productive, lol. My college roomie did it, too. We're not alone! I used to be really good about color-coding my agenda/study materials/class supplies (yep..matched my binders, notebooks, folders, and even pens by class!) but I've gotten lazy the last couple years of grad school. I love getting school supplies, I have to contain myself now b/c I have so much stocked up from past years! lol

My children have attention deficiency disorders/dyslexia and we've been taught by tutors/teachers/doctors that taking notes in different colored pens actually promotes continued focus. They recommend actually switching colors midway through 'cause it jogs your brain & you retain all info better....so you're onto something! :))) Good Luck in school ~ do well!!

I love this video. I am the same way, I go into the school supply section or office section in any store and just want to buy everything. I organize everything and need a planner to stay on top of things. I would love to see how you store your desk items or college books because I'm always looking for more insight for staying organized!

school supply shopping is the best. me n my best friend went to staples as a goodbye before she went away for school (Woh is me!) and we bought about 100 paper clips/push pins each. They gave us a backet n these bins with all these crazy looking clips and really cool designs... I LOVE SCHOOL SUPPLY SHOPPING!

that's exactly what i do with my notebooks and folders. i never use binders anymore; they're too heavy, and i've stopped buying them each year because i know that i won't be using them. and it's funny because i do the same thing with the folders: the left side is for my handouts and the right side is for the stuff i have to hand in. i love it great video!

I'm in undergrad as well and I couldn't live without my folders! So practical and so easy to carry, especially if I have a lot of classes in the same day.

Watching this video gave me the motivation to study!! xD I'm in my year off after undergrad, but I really miss being in school - especially miss having classmates, decorating my room, and buying new school supplies each quarter! If I could do undergrad over again, I'd try SO many more things!

What I do for school is I bought a plastic rubbermaid bin the ones that look like crates with holes shaped like squares. Anyways I put it in the trunk of my car and I switch my notebooks and school books out in it according to the day of class I need. I also keep extra things in there like a spare shirt some travel toiletries, feminine needs and pens pencils. stuff like that and it all stays in the bin nice and neat and handy.

I knew there was a reason I've been LOVING your videos every since the first one!!! And this is it....I was watching myself;) ha ha ha...loved it...love organizing. Once when I did a presentation for an exam over the semester readings, the teacher and the person there to help grade asked me back in to ask about my extensive use of colored post-its;) other than that I had done very well;) ha ha ha...was so funny....! My highlighter budget..don't ask;) You are THE BEST;)

I've been done with school for a couple years. I don't recommend taking time off if you don't have too. I went straight into grad school and it was so smooth of a transition. I then waited a few years and recently tried to go back and it is SOO hard.

I'm a fourth year science student and I'm SO like you!! I color corrdinate everything (pick a color for a class and then have a folder and highlight in that color) and I write things down and check them off even AFTER I have already done it. Just to make me feel good that I got something done!! Would you do a vid on your sorority life? I'm from Canada and do not understand it at all!

something like super helpful with the little page tabs, I actually found at target highlighters that have the page tabs in the highlighter so you can just pull it out of the pen. I like them because it's one less thing I could lose track of haha

i do pretty much the same... i love green, so my agenda has like a little green strap on it, i use a lot of post its and highlighters like a mad man! :)....one thing i like to do is carry sharpies with me, a little stapler and a coffee thing for keeping me up in the morning classes!

Love the organization tips! Being organized and doing it in a way that will keep you motivated is the best. Though I don't think I would switch from back pack to tote when carrying heavy things just so I can look trendy or whatever. My health means more to me then that.

Hey Elle! Yay for fellow organizers! :) on the same train as the "C-R-A-P clips," if you go to a staples store (if you have them near you), there is a "Clip Bar." As a new teacher, I LOVE the clip bar....you buy a plastic container to fill up with unique & cute clips at the "bar." *give it a try! :) have a great semester!

I though I was alone in the world, but I'm glad I'm not!! I also LOVE school supplies! Even going to Walmart I'm like: "I'm gonna go check out the school supplies". I also write my notes in color. All my last semester notes are in pink, blue, and purple! And my mini stapler is loaded with pink staples. So if you use a stapler, you need color staples! :]

when i was at university you could tell who was a beginner by looking at their notes which usually were written in more than one colour. after your first or second semester you give up. the profs just talk and talk and talk and don't care if you have written down everything - let alone care how you wrote your notes and which folder you used. :)

just a little note for you or anyone else :) if you have the program OneNote from the microsoft office student edition, this program is great for taking notes if you take a laptop to class. you can create tabs for each class and then sub-tabs for that class. its awesome and has helped me since i like typing my notes now :) but i did like this video!

All you need is: Go to WalMart when it has its back to school sale: -Stack up on 10 cent notebooks (2-3 bucks can cover your for the entire year!) -Plastic folders (they last forever!) -Pens, pencils and maybe highlighters (if you are OCD) Total expense: maybe less than 12 bucks! -Use your laptop to take notes (best way to organize) THEN YOU CAN SAVE ALL YOUR MONEY TO PAY FOR THE $100-200 PER BOOK EXPENSE YOU ARE GOING TO NEED FOR EACH CLASS! lol!

getting an agenda that is made available by the school is also helpful because it has school events like sports games and school breaks already scheduled in :)

I have a solution, what i do, Instead of having multiple binders, I just section one binder off into all the classes I have. I just have one notebook for everything and when it's full I just organize the pages into the category they belong to. To make it even easier, I always make the subject and the date on the top of every new page in my notebook when I'm taking notes. Oh, and I get a new binder every semester.

Color coding and writing and highliting stuff in diff colors is not silly, it is a well known technique for remembering stuff..it has to do with how the brain works...great organization tips....and those Longchamp bag hold tons of stuff and they are very sturdy and last for ever, they also have matching coing purses and makeup cases that can be used as pencil cases...
