In my experience, these are the primary tools needed:
1. Fabric scissors
2. Seam ripper
3. Tailor's chalk (Pencil)
4. Ordinary and Ballpoint needles
5. Safety pin/s
6. Binding sewing clips
7. Embroidery scissors
8. Bobbin cases with threads ready
9. Marking pins
10. Threads (black and white)
11. Clear ruler (not seen in the video)
Optional:
12. Tracing wheel
13. Multi-use presser feet
14. Washi tape
15. Rotary cutter
16. Cutting mat
