What's in My Travel Bag: Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 DE Edition! 

So happy to have this bag in my collection and to be able to use it this long. Anyone thinking of adding the Speedy 20 in DE?

I have the speedy 30, and mine is 8 years old. It was my first luxury handbag and a gift from my husband. This handbag will always be with me. I contemplated purchasing the speed 20, but I don't want duplicate handbags. Great video!❤

The 20 is definitely more structured which I don’t think was necessary because the bag is small. It is lined with a thicker lining, not the usual brown textile fabric. I have the monogram version of the 20 and I love the bag minus the structure of the bag. Again, the bag is small. It didn’t need to be structured. Also, the lining makes it heavier. I prefer the pliable slouchiness of the regular Speedy and I do think it is the thicker lining that makes it feel completely different. I actually just purchased the monogram NeoNoe BB. I should say repurchased and I definitely prefer it over the 20. Unfortunately, this is my second order of the BB. The first one has to go back! BTW, I agree with you on the 20 strap. Beautiful but oversized for the bag.

Hello Shanti, I agree that the Speedy B is a great travel bag. I've hand mine for about 11-12 years and it seems to get better with time. Also, I love your hair.

I love the speedy B20 I own one in the monogram print and love it as a daily bag but I’m not a fan of the strap I feel it’s too loud and overwhelming for such a small bag on another note I had a speedy 30 in monogram and damier ebene and sold both because it became too big for me for daily use but think about adding it back into my collection from time to time great wimb ❤❤

I added the speedy 20 and I love it. It’s a nice refresh of a classic. I hemmed and hawed adding one since I have the 25 B size and thought it would be redundant, but there is room for both sizes. The 20 size is great for daily wear and if I want to carry a little more I will switch to the 25 size. I agree about the strap. The strap looks great on the 25 but not sure how I feel about it on the 20. I do love the strap, I have a very casual lifestyle so the strap fits in great! Seeing this video reconfirms that I need to add the 30 b back into my life. Lol. I sold it once I started working from home and I didn’t carry it for over a year. But now I want it back…lol.

Hi! I just wanted to share I got the speedy 20 in DE. I know I want to add either b25 or b30. Unsure of which but want to carry stuff for my toddler and I, so leaning to 30. I guess I could switch the straps too but actually that strap on the 20 is really comfy. I’m glad I have it. I think it’s a good addition. I got it instead of the current pochette accessoires cos of price and functionality. 25 or 30?!?!!?😅

Hey Shanti. Hope you are refreshed from your travel. The speedy 30 in de is also my travel bag. It fits the right amount of stuff without being heavy as a travel handbag. I also have the speedy 25 de, it is a bit small for travel plus I hate the narrow zipper compared to the speedy 30. I did buy the speedy 20 in mono and I love it. I saw the carryall like 2-3 months ago, maybe LV got rid of it. Wow 11 years, still holding up well.

Glad I stumbled on your video! What an amazing love affair you have there with your speedy b 30✨💕!! I'm super torn on getting the new speedy b 25 DE or to get one pre-loved because of the matte finish leather on the new DE. I read on lots of forums that the new matte leather can get water marks from rain, and an LV SA told me to be mindful when using hand lotion before touching the handles/strap. This is definitely not the case with the older shiny DE leather ; as you probably can attest to that :D. Seeing how you have quite an extensive collection, I wonder if you have a piece that's with the new matte finish? If so, is it easy to get some water marks (rain) on the matte handle? Or maybe you've heard from friends regarding any issue with the new matte leather finish? Just wanted to do my research as best I could before making the big purchase :) Thanks so much!!

Hi there. I have both sizes and I tend to prefer the 30 for travel and daily stuff. If you’re used to carrying all that then the 25 will be too small. I tend to use my 25 for afternoon events like lunches and tea parties. Not so much for travel or work. Hope that helps

Do you not use the extension part of the strap, making it a crossbody?

I love my 25 which is 9 years old- I have it in the mongram. After watching this I am convinced I need the 30 in DE- I dont have any DE in my collection. And yes the slouch!!!! LOVE xoxo also how cute is your dog! What breed? such a sweetie!

Why not just get a bag organizer?

I bought the exact same bag immediately when the strap version became available. Though I don't trash this bag I'm not really precious about it either. I can say this was one of the best purchase I made. I'm glad I followed my gut instinct to buy it over 10 years ago. However, the main complaint I have with this bag is that the brass on the bag isn't the same as the brass on the strap or the lock. This becomes more obvious over time as the brass on the bag and lock/key age and patina. I am very disappointed with this considering this was a very expensive bag for what you are getting. Don't kid yourself. The mark-up price on these bags is not worth it. You're paying for the brand and their multi-hundred million villa, yachts, private planes and luxury cars. But I'm vain and like status so I bought it. You can buy an even better quality bag for $150 but it doesn't catch envious glances among women. I like the euphemism Shanti is using--a slouchy bag. LOL. The "engineering" structure of the bag is poor. It is not meant to carry a lot of heavy things while using the long strap. The bag "slouches" because of the poor engineering structure. If you put something heavy inside, it will move around and collect at the center of the bag. So, when you wear the long strap, it will look like it is "caving in". In fact I think caving in is a far better description of what is happening to the bag than slouchy. The reason why is because the slouchiness of it only happens when you are putting something heavy inside and wear the long strap. It isn't slouchy otherwise. The question is would I buy this bag again? I don't know. I think if everything goes well for my bag, it will last a lot longer. I do not like the LV version of this bag. I like the Ebene because it is a tasteful pattern. Their other patterns are too loud for me.
