About the gimbal and Arca-Swiss mount: Falcam has a plate that fits both F38 quick release system and the PD Clip 3 (Part #2465) Together with the new Crane M3 new mount (Part #2858), I can keep both the PD Clip 3 and switch to the gimbal very quickly, and I don't have to rebalance! And no, I'm not sponsored/affiliated with Falcam, just very happy with my new accessories!
I put air tags in my luggage! They actually lost my luggage coming back from Kando! I was able to show them on my phone where in the airport it was located!! They radio someone to get it. Still took an hour but its nice to know I can see where its located. I can see that its on the airplane before we take off.
Loved this vid! How did you fit ALL of that gear into your PD backpack?! I’d love to see how you configured it. I have like half of your gear and I don’t seem to be able to fit it all into the same backpack you’ve got! 😂
At 0:09, I just travel with my Shimoda Action X30, I can fit my full frame camera, a drone and some clothes in it no problem, it is truly a wonderful bag!
awesome video and so great to see you & vivian out there again! best line .. "just kidding" .. that made me laugh!! Amazing to travel only with the 20L and all that gear.
I love Switzerland. Do you have any videos or websites where you post the photos and videos you took while you were there for those of us who want to see more of the end-results you created with all that gear and would like to know not just what to pack but where to go?
Have you tried flying with bigger bags on international flights? I have the PD Everyday 30L and the PD Travel 30L and I want to use them as personal items but I'm afraid they won't fit under my seat causing me to gate check a bag. Not ideal. Love to hear any thoughts.
I guess you are minimalists on clothes. Did you fill the two carry-on bags with gears? 😁 I know if would. 😉 Thanks for another fun and informative video. ❤️
I just found out your channel and I'm enjoying a lot, definitely one of the best youtubers I've ever watched. You got a new subscriber! Cant wait to see a video about Brazil
Jason. Great video as always. On the Katadyn, use it as a filter to fill up a rigid bottle that you drink from. Then put the empty filter in a stuff sack and back into your backpack. No need to drink from it and deal with the floppy stuff. Also saves wear and tear on it.
If I don't have it in the hand luggage, I'd have it on the side of my backpack and it's usually ok! I put it in the hand luggage cause I don't want to carry it if I don't have to.
Jason is there a gimbal that you'd recommend for the 24-70 GM? I'm so sick of buying new batteries for my Moza Air 2 because they keep going bad. I'm also thinking to just bring the 24-70 GM with me on trips because it's too much of a hassle to change lenses.
I am a hardcore canon user and i am not a big fan of sony gear. Yet, l love your content. I think your wit, passion for content creation, relatable and grounded personality and relaxed delivery makes you shine!!! Keep up the great work my friend. Love from Utah!!! 😊
About the smallrig quick release: I did exactly the same thing BUT I took the other quick release plate with the lever on the side. Once you close it, it doesn’t go anywhere and I really feel confident with it. And it works with the PD plate.
that's the problem with so many variations of these smallrig products - there is always something slightly better! Gah! I will have to find the one youre talking about!
Good to see this. Subscribed recently but followed for a while. We've got a Switzerland trip coming up next fall of next year so am busily looking to both gear and location/subject vids to see what to add/pare down.
@@JasonVong Thinking about video especially. Going to be riding a lot of trains of various sorts so looking to more than stills. At almost 70, probably won't do much completely unhinged.
OMG. I'm soon to leave on a 5 month-long trip and I'm taking the same cameras as you. Different lenses, but same cameras. I'm sure this will make you cringe, but I put APS-C on the a1. I love fast lenses. 1.8 if possible as I'm constantly inside dark temples. Thanks for the update.
Hi I just got my second camera Sony a6500 so can you suggest any budget 3 lens for me that you will use for Street and wedding photography for all day 👍👍👍👍👍
Finally, someone uses the Sony phone cameras. They're great, so great that I leave my gear I use for work and use the Sony phone. It's a great camera if you know how to use it.
Hello how are you I hope you spent very good your time in Europe, I wonder if you can answer of course Instead of 2470 master For the price and only if is it different and choose the f4 2470.if it's worth it. I have 35mmf1.8 and 50 1.8 Thanks
If you are referring to the Sony Zeiss 24-70mm F4, then I don't recommend it. Much older lens and the quality doesn't match up imo. The Sony F2.8s are better. If you are looking for budget options, Sigma and Tamron has 28-70mm F2.8 which are really good!
I love my peak design capture clip! I used it all the time when I was out in British Columbia hiking. Definitely takes some muscle memory because of how precise the machining is haha.
I don't think that warrants a dedicated video haha but i just do it. Best practice is face the camera down while switching. Have a dust blower ready to blow off any dust!
Hey Jason, I noticed they have a PRO version of the Sandisk SSD you posted with higher read/write speeds. Did you purchase the regular version or the pro? Wondering if the extra hundred bucks was worth the speed for you?
